  1. He's played in every game since he's been up and started all but 1 IIRC, so one imagines it's just an extra day off.
  2. Mune expected to start at 1B but not play a full 9 innings yet today Shane Smith going for WS
  3. Boston is coming in hot and need to extend their good stretch if they want to get in the wild card race before it's too late. I wouldn't expect an easy series despite their underwhelming record. Our Sox have been good at home, but will need to stay focused against some good pitching. Tolle is a talented young LHP having a bit of a breakout season, though the Nats chased him early in his last outing (3 IP, 6 ER). Elite extension guy, Bannister would love him. Great 4 seam, hittable sinker, slight reverse splits this season. He's only allowed 2 HR in 5 road starts, but weirdly his road K/9 has been much lower than what he gets at home (5.7 vs 11.2). Surface level stats are similar overall though. There's a couple RH bats Schultz will need to be careful with, including old friend Romy Gonzales who has hit the ground running since his injury-delayed season debut a few games ago (6-20, HR, 3B, 4 RBI).
  4. They've taken the chance on injured arm talent before...
  5. 3 walks for Bones today, 12 BB to 15 K in 17 games at AA now He really might have just been forcing it in A+ when teams stopped giving him much to hit
  6. Your first place Chicago White Sox leave Cleveland with sole ownership of the division lead, despite some of their best efforts to the contrary. Obviously would have preferred the series win they could have had, but I think the fortitude it takes to come back for the split after two walkoff losses will end up benefiting them through the remainder of the season. Nice to be up in the season series 4-3 after winning only 2 games total against Cleveland last year. Still .500 or better against every ALC team so far. Trevor Richards an unsung hero of this series. Eisert was big yesterday too. Asked a lot from the pen when the first two starters covered less than 8 innings combined. Mune returning at some point on a winning homestand would be a great way to head into the ASB.
  7. Also if Kay doesn't get rained out of his good start
  8. The only way this Cleveland lineup can put up crooked numbers is if you give them free bases/outs.
  9. A lot of people will be watching "unofficial" streams for this one, which are typically delayed a bit.
  10. Solid outing from Gabe Davis. 4 IP, 1 ER (solo shot), 2 H, 1 BB, 5 K. Some good adjustments after a rough welcome to AA.
  11. They have the Sodfather at home too, clearly not used to playing with sloppy field conditions
  12. This resurgent version of Sean Burke will be a nice boost if it carries into the second half
  13. Could be sooner, per CST:
