Gausman is hittable, WAS just got to him for 6 ER and they have a similar offense to the Sox. Hard to know what to make of Holmes since his return. Meh debut vs. KC, good line vs. STL but his velo is down and he wasn't missing bats at all (3 whiffs in 80 pitches). Should be able to string together offense against at least one of them, just a matter of who can give us innings on the other side.

Maybe, but I'm not one of them. I'd rather beat the Cubs than some other NL opponent, but if you told me the Sox were guaranteed to split this 6 game road trip then I'm taking the 3 against the Tigers every time and not thinking twice about it. The Cubs effectively cease to exist to me after Wednesday unless I need them to beat an AL team to help our playoff odds.
