Fire Pedro Grifol
I don’t know how Pedro would remain the manager after this winless road trip.

Fire Pedro Grifol
Good point, Stephen Vogt comes to mind though.

Fire Pedro Grifol
There needs to be a change. Grady Sizemore or Charlie Montoyo will hopefully get an extended look.

Mike North on Barstool Chicago's Mid Show two weeks ago said he doesn't believe this ever happened, FWIW

Sox looking at building in South Loop
I believe we are witnessing a Fisher-esque sabotage. This roster, this record, and these tax negotiations make me think this franchise is moving to Nashville. By making the White Sox nothing, Jerry can take something away from a group of people who have nothing to lose.

GT 3/30: DET @ SOX, 1:10 pm CDT, NBCSC
Hard to tell on TV if Fletcher had any shot at the runner at home. This wasn’t a cutoff situation.

Jason would have asked Steve if Fletcher’s throw to 3rd rather than home made sense there. Just an example of something we’re missing out on. Jury is out on whether Schiffren has any sort of baseball IQ. One would imagine he has to but I don’t see it.

I love the White Sox team this year! I'm excited to be a fan of it.
I wasn’t excited a week ago but now I’m waiting for 2:05 on Friday. Something like a 13-13 start would do wonders for me. Might as well not be miserable about it all. New faces like Barfield and Bannister inspire me. Looking into the past, it really is stunning that Hahn and Kenny failed to bring in outside voices, opinions, etc. This entire thing likely comes down to spending correctly down the road, as it did last time. But the foundation building aspect of this is interesting to me.

Sox select John Schriffen to be TV PbP announcer
If I were him I would have said I was calling all 162.

Great article Scott.

Who do you want or think will replace Benetti?
I want Chuck Swirsky. No clue why his name hasn't been mentioned.

Cease To Padres per Passan
Pitchers similar to Vazquez always get hauls though
-
Benetti to Tigers
Benetti’s “thank you” falls on deaf ears Mikey Monaco is good but also has a willingness to forge a career for himself outside of the Sox. I have a feeling the Sox won’t go for that this time around

After an exhaustive search, Getz named GM/VP
Does this mean you’re hearing Getz will be hired as GM? Therefore we don’t know who will be head of baseball operations still? @Y2Jimmy0

After an exhaustive search, Getz named GM/VP
I’m going to try to be optimistic. We knew who Hahn and Kenny were, we have no clue who Getz will be. He has a chance to position himself as the franchise’s savior with the right moves. He also probably doesn’t have a lot of time to prove himself, pending the sale of the team. The only problem is his hiring likely comes with retaining Pedro. That move alone might define his legacy.

Very important poll.

Garfein: Tim Anderson hates pitch clock, not Chicago
No defense for Tim here. He put on his Astros cap in that moment, for all intents and purposes. Disappointing.

5/14- Astros at Sox, 1:10
I’ve read for the last 10 years, held it all in until now. Trust me on this.

5/14- Astros at Sox, 1:10
I went to the game. Currently fairly damp in an uber. If Tim truly said “I hate this place” as an attempt to be courteous to Jose Abreu, after declining an opportunity to take 2nd base and being met with appropriate boos, then I’m at my low point as a Sox fan. Everyone in a White Sox uniform should be proud to be a part of the 20k+ members of the MLB fraternity (everyone that has ever played in the majors would fit in the lower bowl of many stadiums). Yet very few do. It disappoints me every time I watch.
