They’re still winning games, but they’re a much scarier team if they consolidate the pennies they spent on various bullpen pieces into signing a position player, ie Tucker.

Our friend Martin Perez just went 5 scoreless against them. 2.22 ERA on the season. Wish we woulda kept him. Good player, good guy, probably a better LHP than Kay for a fraction of the price. Their lineup seems to be a lot of boom or bust, streaky guys. Greene and Torkelson specifically seem to go on a tear for a week or two then have several 0-4 games in a row.

Brooke seems a lot more well-rested this evening too. Shorty needed a cup of coffee last night.

Fast forwarded to the end. Maybe my favorite game of the season. Soriano and Martin were really fun to watch, especially the part where the Sox touched Soriano up -- his ERA increase to 0.84. My guy Romo made a Sox milestone, it seems like one of those is happening every game this season. Mike Trout still had a good game and I love that he's having a great season, playing center field, stealing bases...but still losing. I really like this team! Most fun I've had watching the Sox in years.
