CHSN to be available on antenna in Chicago
Lightly Folded replied to Heads22's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I got the same $20 00 Sox only deal only, last Sunday. The app is compatible to my Samsung tv. I’ve had the exact problem you’re having but have been able to correct it somewhat. When you are watching hit the enter button and notice that above the progress line near the bottom of the screen (I don’t know what it’s actually called) there are three icons above the line over on the right. Click or touch on the one furthest to the right which is for Video Quality. With mine set to the lowest number (249p) I only get occasional buffering and it’s almost always when breaking to or from commercials and when that happens I then I switch back to the small screen which won’t be buffering and then back to full screen. Last night but only buffered a few times during the entire game. At the highest setting (1080p) it buffered constantly and I tried “all” the video quality settings including automatic and the lowest (240p) is the best for me. I guess the higher the video quality the slower it can take to load especially commercials. I had the same problem with closed captioning but middle icon where you find the video quality is for closed captioning. If it says it’s off but it’s still on closed captioning go back to it and click it on wait a few seconds and click it off. -

From my standpoint the ota antenna was better than the app. I took the $19.99 per month White Sox only selection this past Sunday. I have a Samsung tv which is compatible to the chsn app. I just had to go to search on my Samsung tv and the app came up. You finish up on the chsn app. I live approximately 7 miles from Chicago. I get a good picture on the tv but the app is buffering every few minutes especially when cutting to or from commercials. The only way around it is to go back and forth between the full screen and the small screen. Sometimes when it buffers it freezes and I have to exit the app and then return to the app. The chsn help line is useless. Sometimes when I tried to get help their phone line doesn’t even ring. Exasperating!!!!

Does anyone use fubo to watch chsn? Is the picture quality any good? -
Could this soccer stadium and a second stadium (for whomever that may be) be constructed on the 78 simultaneously to a degree? How difficult would that be with different contractors (?) at each building site and truck traffic entering and leaving (hauling out) at the same time from two separate neighboring sites with Roosevelt Rd the being the only artery?

Arlington Heights making stadium pitch to White Sox?
Lightly Folded replied to GreatScott82's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I have no way of knowing but am curious as to which site (AH or the 78) would be more costly including infrastructure etc. -

“News coming out soon.” Soon can mean anything from “in a week or two” to “in a month or two” or soon could mean six months from now or soon could mean in a year or two. Soon doesn’t necessarily mean “real” soon. -
Luis Robert trade thread: La Pantera stays.
Lightly Folded replied to ChiSoxFanMike's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I’ve been angry with Robert’s performance for quite some time but after last nights performance in Sacramento I’m now starting to feel sorry for him because he’s become an embarrassment. I wonder how much sleep he’s getting? -

It appears to me that Robert’s has become what Tim Anderson became. The reasons may or may not be similar. -
The Sox deserve low attendance numbers. However having the television play by play man basically (constantly) telling fans that’s it’s to cold to come to the ballpark shows just how stupid (or whatever word you want to use) this organization has become.
-
You’re correct in saying he’s not the problem. He is an annoyance.
-
Listening to Schiffren whine about the weather here in the bottom of the eighth makes me think he doesn’t really belong here. He’s was amazed someone was actually eating ice cream earlier in the game.
-
Does Schiffren have to mention twenty times a game how cold it is at the ballpark? Veeck would have fired him ten times already.

Ishbia increasing minority stake in Sox
Lightly Folded replied to Fielder Jones's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Unless you are actively trading the best advice is ignore the market news each day until it closes at 4pm eastern time. Then grab a bracer and see how far you’ve fallen. No point living with anxiety until after the trading closes. My 401-K lost $56,000 last week. Buying tickets, parking, etc. to a Sox game won’t be on my to-do list for quite a while. Neither will be the theater, restaurants, bills, blackhawks, or wolves. Only the basics. -
Ishbia increasing minority stake in Sox

The billionaire’s club (and everyone else) had a miserable day yesterday. The richest 500 people had a combined loss of 208 billion with Mark Zuckerberg and Jeff Bezos among the hardest hit. Zuckerberg lost 9% ($17.9B) and Bezos also lost 9% (15.9B). Chairman Reinsdorf and Ishbia very likely also took major hits yesterday also and it’s just beginning because today could wind up being worse than yesterday and god knows what’s going to happen next week. I’m not crying over billionaires losing (my 401k = ouch) but am just making a point that this market event and possible market events to come could have eventual ramifications towards any desired goal(s) Reinsdorf and Ishbia have contemplated for this Franchise’s future. -

I think J.R. and the McCaskey’s have been backed into a corner. They either put up dough or sell. -

Make sure you get the free phone app which will guide you to position the antenna in a straight line to the nearest tower. Fully extend the two antenna on the back of the device for the ultimate reception, -

I don’t have a link but you can order on-line. Best Buy would be your best bet. Hope this help. Model ANT1268EV -

I would also be remiss if I didn’t mention that this rca antenna has a phone app whereby you are shown where the signal tower is and it pinpoints exactly which direction to face the antenna. You lock into it. -

Also, this indoor antenna which is amplified gives you excellent audio which the non-amplified won’t. The non amplified also will probably give you less stations. The amplified antenna was $31.00 at Best Buy and has a range of 45 miles. -

I bought a RCA amplified hdtv antenna last week. There were only two easy steps to connect it to my tv which took less than one minute. While the picture isn’t as rich as cable or streaming it’s pretty darn good.
