  1. Nothing is surprising about this. I doubt the Sox add another significant free agent pitcher. I also doubt the Cubs nab either Bregman or Bichette. Hoyer will cheap out and stick with Shaw and it’s probably the wise move anyways.
  2. 50-50 calls are usually pretty close, which is why umpires mess them up and there are challenges. I’d rather the umpires get the call correct the majority of time than have it simply go the Sox way every time.
  3. Benetti may be better at announcing football and basketball than baseball but the only thing Schriffen is better at than Benetti is SlamBall, and that’s only because Benetti has never covered it. You mention that Benetti’s “careerism” impacts the number of Sox games he can call, but mention nothing about our other broadcaster nearing retirement with only one gig who takes off numerous games and rarely even makes west coast trips. You also seem to be annoyed that Benetti wasn’t a complete and utter Sox homer like Schriffen who was constantly trying to tell us that a 100+ loss team was so good, even when they were setting the MLB loss record. That was simply delusional and makes it appear that he thinks Sox fans are complete and utter morons. Finally, how many moronic basic baseball questions does Schriffen posit to Stone each season? You would likely lose count of tracking them after a couple games. If you did a drinking game around it you would be hammered by the 7th inning.
  4. Stone talks about how he only eats meat/steak and is apparently as repulsed by vegetables as a 5 year old kid.
  5. Meanwhile, Jerry thinks it’s a negative thing for his sportscasters to get national attention. 🤣
  6. Eh, Schriffen is better. I heard he has a big offer on the table to do play-by-play for Slamball again.
  7. On The Score, Patrick Mannelly is basically saying he is scared that the Packers are going to target the hell out of Nahshon Wright because he gets burned so bad.
  8. I don’t know. It was a slippery slope. They kept him for too long without trading him but we all have hope that he can somewhat reproduce his 2023, but it just hasn’t happened. Betting on Robert is like going to a casino and expecting to win. You have high hopes at first but keep getting let down the more money you lose.
  9. To me it seems that the Sox thought they would have an easier time trading him for prospects of value but no teams want to give up any decent prospects and they also want the Sox to eat a large part of his $20 million dollar salary. I doubt they want to keep him into the season and hope he raises his value considering how injury-prone he is but they may be forced to.
  10. Eberloser is out of a job again…
  11. Yep, I was wrong as well. Thought the Bears blew it when they passed on Warren. They took the guy with more size and athleticism and it is obvious he is developing into exactly what they thought he could be. BTW — Love that the Bears are playing on Saturday night.
  12. Yes, he would just have to resign. Here’s another story about Kenny from years ago. https://chicago.suntimes.com/2014/12/17/18595015/reinsdorf-white-sox-balk-at-letting-ken-williams-speak-with-blue-jays
  13. Jerry also reportedly refused to let either Kenny or Hahn leave their roles with the White Sox for other opportunities
  14. Hilarious that it took this long to beat out Erik Kramer’s 1995 season for the single season passing yard leader. And it still took another game on the schedule being added. https://bearswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/bears/2026/01/04/bears-caleb-williams-sets-single-season-passing-record/88020300007/
  15. That was a meaty meatball he was thrown.
  16. Cuz of 4 good games? No.
  17. Love will be back for the Bears.
  18. More good coverage by 26. He is awful.
  19. Andrew “Encroachment” Billings
  20. That’s gotta be the dumbest trick play call in history. Campbell trying to one up Ben Johnson.
