  1. You could also replace the Copium with Getz and it would still work. 🫣
  2. Don’t trade Mason Adams for Doyle and insert him into the rotation instead. Acquire Adell and let Pham retire. Sox are a better team and they don’t have Castillo’s waste of millions on next year’s payroll.
  3. Can’t argue against that now, which is sad as hell.
  4. I agree. The Hawk is Will Ferrell’s worst crap ever. It’s like Adam Sandler’s movies these days. Trivia — the female coach in “Chad Powers” is married to former NFL QB Mark Sanchez.
  5. Yep. Just stay the hell away from “The Hawk”.
  6. How is Right Said Fedde doing this? Our new ace…
  7. She’ll like it too, as long as you don’t do it too early.
  8. “YEAH BUDDY!!!”
  9. Also, even if he’s ultimately just a DH, if his bat is truly legit would anyone care? He be STROKIN’.
  10. Yep, good point. They could have been acquired for a song in the offseason.
  11. I thought this was kinda strange.
  12. The trades have all been a partial failure already due to this reason alone. I guess they could partially redeem themselves if the players perform well next season, but there’s also no guarantee that they are in the playoff hunt next year.
  13. Even if you don’t like Romo, it’s hard to argue against carrying 3 catchers at this point. Especially when they could choose to DH Teel a bit to keep him healthy.
  14. Would be epic if Colson was starting at 3B with Acuna at SS.
  15. Exactly, I told his mom this and I told him this as well last night. He doesn’t cry from pain but he cried because he knows what this injury means. He feels he is letting his team down, ever since high school when he tore his ACL junior year with Brother Rice. He felt the same way. At some point, you have to worry about your own livelihood and career after college. No one needs three knee surgeries before they turn 21, especially if he wants to get into law enforcement which is what he wants to do. I told him he has likely already reached the pinnacle of his sports career anyways, being one of only two Brother Rice teams (1981 and 2025) to win a state championship in the school’s existence. And I have it all recorded like Lip and old classic White Sox games. 😉
  16. Grow a sack, wizard. My son just full thickness tore his ACL for the second time at age 18 and asked his head coach to play through it for the season, just as he asked Coach Q in his junior year at Brother Rice to play through his first full ACL tear. He was politely declined for the second time. He is currently aimlessly walking around the St. Norbert College campus in frustration. Sucks but it is what it is. There’s always next year. The doctor asked him how he was even walking around without severe pain… Because he the toughest m*ther f*cker I know. And no, as opposed to the norm, I am not tougher than my son… I hate this photo but at the same time it is the most honest depiction of the most utter frustration of all time after receiving his MRI results. f*** everything. I have shared many pics of my son and his journey through football at every level. I’m sure he would love any feedback or advice from everyone on this site through his tough journey back. Sorry in advance for posting this in the wrong forum, but, yeah…
  17. The Shields / Tatis Jr. trade will always be worse. Tatis Jr. was six years younger than Boston Smith when he was acquired by the Padres — age 17. Smith could still be bad but he would literally have to be called up tomorrow and tear it up to even attempt to match the Tatis Jr. trade in badness, and it still wouldn’t be as bad. Tatis Jr. already had a 3 fWAR season in his rookie season at age 20.
  18. To learn from his predecessors and stop acquiring old junk near retirement on the cheap and hope it has one last magical season.
  19. Hey man, I hate the Cubs and PCA seems like a total douche but at some point you have to respect the baseball talent. #39 tonight? Jeebus. It’s crazy to think that the Mets traded him for a couple months of the decaying corpse and expiring free agent Hobby Baez. In a few more years, it might be up there among the worst trades in baseball history.
  20. This. It would definitely be worth the money, and if the 78 couldn’t fit a dome, I would look for a spot that could. But then again, it isn’t my money so that’s easy for me to say.
  21. Castillo definitely would have been thrown on waivers like Robert. Doyle might have as well.
