  1. Yep. Does anyone think Getz will sign a player better than Quero? Maybe a guy like O’Hearn will be better for a year but he’s 32. Moving Quero to make room for O’Hearn would be dumb as hell.
  2. I don’t think so. He’s been pushing this letter to Jerry to interview for GM gimmick for years.
  3. Yeah, no and no. Witt Jr. will never be a Sox player unless he’s pushing 40 and that’s when Sox fans would joke about it.
  4. Just got off the phone with my son — he said BR is going to destroy St. Charles North on Saturday. That is the mentality of the entire BR team. They don’t give a f***, and think they can destroy every opponent put in front of them.
  5. Probably. Unfortunately it’s just one more year of control as a bullpen guy likely lessening his value since he isn’t starting. It could be worse though — imagine if we got Cade Horton’ed?
  6. Basically a demotion. Wouldn’t be much a surprise as most Sox GM’s and coaches don’t have much success after leaving the Sox.
  7. I would just see if Sosa can play 1B to lessen his defensive deficiencies. Maybe he figures out how to take a walk every now and then eventually. I don’t care about Jerry’s money, but Ryan O’Hearn does dick for this team.
  8. Also from having a bad GM and poor scouting to think Benintendi was worth that type of contract.
  9. Acquiring a lower tier and less desirable free agent 1B like Ryan O’Hearn is living in a White Sox offseason reality. Meanwhile, talking about these guys is living in a White Sox offseason fantasy world… Naylor Alonso Framber Schwarber Murakami Let’s at least try to be realistic about a White Sox offseason in which the GM himself insinuated that he won’t be spending much money in free agency.
  10. Why are we even talking about these other hypotheticals when we already know Jerry wouldn’t approve spending the money that Naylor, or any of the other players you mentioned, will cost?
  11. Apparently you would only last as Sox GM for a day then. Remember how Hahn held a press conference when he described looking to hire a manager that sounded exactly like AJ Hinch? And then Jerry said hold my beer and cigar, Rick. I’m hiring my old buddy TLR? Yeah…
  12. “Seidler family to explore strategic options for Padres, including possible sale“
  13. Old man with dementia and Twitter is a dangerous combination. Bruce LeVineLine’s tweets have long been filled with funny misspellings and other utter hilarity.
  14. He’s on the Crochet path. The Sox will slowly turn him into an ace just in time to trade him to a contender.
  15. I’ll be impressed if they get theirs down to as low as what the Sox will be come opening day.
  16. I read that they were going to cut payroll quite a bit compared to 2025 opening day but I read that it was still expected to be around $85 to $90 million for 2026.
  17. Weird that he opted to take a job with the Twins after being familiar with the Sox organization. I could see the Sox lowballing him on salary and I guess the Twins look like big spenders in comparison to the Sox these days.
  18. CJ Gray can both run and pass. He was originally a much better runner than passer in his freshman and sophomore years but his passing has greatly improved the past two years. He committed to Army. The key to BR putting up so many points is a stellar D that gives the team turnovers and great field position. They have good WR’s in Jovan Green (South Dakota State), Lucas Strang, along with TE Jack McNamara for the passing game but they also have a healthy and really good OL, to go along with two good RB’s in Jaylin Green and Jameson Davis. Meanwhile, their DL is loaded with top recruits/commits — DE King Liggins (Illinois), DT Brayden Parks, CB Emeir White (South Dakota State), and EDGE Kameron McGee. I think their downfall would be facing off against a team with a defense as good as their own, like a Mount Carmel. But BR has as good of a shot as any school left in 7A.
  19. It sounds like he’s not even sure he wants to play football. ”The 28-year-old cornerback is looking "to focus on getting himself right physically and mentally" as he prepares to make a decision about his future.”
