  1. CJ Gray can both run and pass. He was originally a much better runner than passer in his freshman and sophomore years but his passing has greatly improved the past two years. He committed to Army. The key to BR putting up so many points is a stellar D that gives the team turnovers and great field position. They have good WR’s in Jovan Green (South Dakota State), Lucas Strang, along with TE Jack McNamara for the passing game but they also have a healthy and really good OL, to go along with two good RB’s in Jaylin Green and Jameson Davis. Meanwhile, their DL is loaded with top recruits/commits — DE King Liggins (Illinois), DT Brayden Parks, CB Emeir White (South Dakota State), and EDGE Kameron McGee. I think their downfall would be facing off against a team with a defense as good as their own, like a Mount Carmel. But BR has as good of a shot as any school left in 7A.
  2. It sounds like he’s not even sure he wants to play football. ”The 28-year-old cornerback is looking "to focus on getting himself right physically and mentally" as he prepares to make a decision about his future.”
  3. He is absolutely the best trade target out there for a team that wants a star. The Padres haven’t won anything with him, he has had injury issues, and now a “down” season. The Padres are rumored to be looking to cut payroll. Name another star player that can be acquired for their age 27 to 35 seasons on a 9-year, $286 million dollar contract?
  4. With Junior’s surgery, should we want Senior instead? 😶 Excellent troll regardless. 👍🏻
  5. Famous last words — “according to Sox scouts.” 🤣
  6. Yes… https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_Flag_Trade And the infamous quote by Jerry at the time was — “Anyone who thinks we can catch Cleveland is crazy.”
  7. I think Meadiocre gets more run next season. He just turned 25 and Getz won’t want to admit that he acquired absolutely nothing of value for Houser so soon after the trade. Duncan Davitt and Ben Peoples also look like mediocre pitching prospects in their mid-20’s.
  8. Yes, for the Sox that is definitely the problem. Talent costs money and the Sox won’t be spending much at all this offseason. However, Boob Seymour is right up their alley.
  9. You don’t think Marcus Thames is going to show Bobby Witt Jr. how to improve his swing?
  10. He thinks he and his team can absolutely s%*# on and beat any team until the game is actually decided. He was only wrong about Mount Carmel this year. 😡 He was talking about beating up on Owen Lansu and his Downers Grove buddies in two weeks if they beat SC North next week. The team survived the slip and slide against Jacobs and is healthy.
  11. Just think — if Jerry ever saw your request for a GM interview and gave you a shot, that’s the payroll you would ultimately be working with. I’d probably share my resume with 25 other teams before doing so with the White Sox.
  12. Some love for the BR OL… https://southwestregionalpublishing.com/2025/11/09/football-roundup-brother-rice-mount-carmel-nazareth-advance-to-quarterfinals/
  13. Yep. Baseball is his job but it’s obvious that he loves basketball.
  14. He played it ultra safe trying to kill that 10 point lead but there was too much time left.
  15. Give a lot of thanks to Dabol. He should be fired just for this game alone. Ends the game without even using his last two timeouts.
  16. That was a questionable go for it decision.
  17. Giants are as bad as the Bears in the red zone so I can see why he would just take the points. 🤣
  18. That was awful. You have two TE’s and you throw a guess fade to a WR that was locked up the entire time.
