What was your motivation in entering it into your public profile? I often click on poster’s profiles to see and read a listing of their recent posts. In any case, stick to the topic please, Ron. Other posters have already mentioned they are sick of the bickering taking up space in threads. -

Here are the extra details on his contract… https://www.si.com/mlb/whitesox/onsi/news/white-sox-sign-closer-seranthony-dominguez So the deal is slightly backloaded. He gets $8 million this season — $7 million salary and a $1 million signing bonus. Obviously we don’t know how much the Sox plan on spending, but this would mean that around $11 million is left of the $20 million freed up from trading Robert for Acuna. -

All he has to do is make it through next season without spilling any Campfire Milkshake on himself and I think he gets extended. -
You have the magic touch. You can make anyone disappear. We just need another signing to discuss, but I think Getz is waiting out for one of Hays / Conforto / Tauchman to accept his offer of a MILB deal along with a $100 dollar gift card to Red Lobster.

That’s only if you replace Getz as GM.

Researched? Your old Twitter handle is literally in your SoxTalk profile, RonWillie. -
Good, they shouldn’t be. Bader is one thing. Conforto should be contemplating retirement.

Ronald Bellylardio. A true legend.
-
Houser maybe, if Meadiocre and the two prospects turn into anything.
-
A weak-hitting DH butchering LF who will hopefully be at DH more often than not.
-
I can admit this. They really don’t. But I also think the guys that they have should get a shot. I realize you would probably disagree, and that’s fine.

Sorry, I’m not tracking every post everyone makes, but I was in this thread reading your responses. And you just did it to me as well. Cutting off quotes is lame. Unless it is due to length like a @caulfield12 post that takes up an entire page of a thread. 🤣

If you cut out that small excerpt from his post; you are completely hiding his entire point. Yes, we all hope Murakami is great. But if he is, let’s be honest, he’s likely playing for another team in two years. Like I said earlier, the timing of Freddie Freeman’s contract is pretty terrible considering the Dodgers sign everyone at any cost. So do we expect the Sox to win big within the next two seasons? Hopefully Ishbia takes over sooner rather than later.
-
Exactly. Murakami jerseys will sell well regardless but it’s probably realistically the worst jersey to buy outside of any other vet the Sox sign on a 1-year deal. If he sucks, you won’t want the jersey. If he’s good, you have a cool jersey for two years until he replaces Freddie Freeman. Freeman’s contract just so happens to expire after the 2027 season, right when Murakami becomes a free agent.

Yes, their logo could be a red arrow pointed down.

In the recent Getz interview, Getz said that signing Murakami to a 5-year deal at this point wasn’t realistic. Kaplan blurted out, “you could just extend him if he’s good!” Really? So you can’t afford to give Murakami a 5-year deal when he’s an unknown quantity but you can afford to extend him in 2 years if he’s breaks out? Yeah… More like they didn’t want to give an unknown a 5-year deal and likely won’t be able to extend him in 2 years if he’s breaks out.

It’s gonna be like the Randy Marsh South Park meme when they finally finish… errr, win.

Haha, he actually said this at the 19 minute mark. Perhaps he was mixing him up with Brooks Baldwin? They look alike right?
