Did that beer vendor just fake giving the kid a beer since he caught that ball? 🤣 The crowd chanted MVP for the little kid.

I’ve been saying it for awhile but the fact that this team didn’t have a a young outfielder and can’t find any outfielder better than bums like Jankowski and Palacios is absolutely pathetic.

When Burke isn’t getting tattooed, he’s walking guys anyways.

Yep, I get it. Perhaps he should be moved down in the order though…

Luis Robert trade thread: La Pantera stays.
Good point. Totally forgot they signed him.

Luis Robert trade thread: La Pantera stays.
If the Dodgers were offering De Paula and Pages for Robert, Robert would be a Dodger right now. That could potentially finish the future Sox OF with Pages in LF, De Paula in CF, and B. Montgomery in RF. See if C. Montgomery can turn it around in AAA, and continue to draft up-the-middle players in shortstops and center fielders, as well as starting pitchers. But I still think you are expecting too much of a return for this version of Robert.

The Cubs just sent their young 3B Matt Shaw back to the minors because he was struggling. Yes, I realize he is out of options but our young 3B has been struggling for multiple seasons and is still leading off.

Why do you seem to think Outman has much value? He’s spare junk.

Did you read the original post?

The rumor was Outman and a front line prospect. At that point, Outman is just filler. Who cares if he is part of the return? It’s about the prospect. I think some people are expecting far too much for a recently awesome but now mediocre hitting CF if they think we are netting two top prospects for Robert.

Ownership breakdown: ishbias 35%, Reinsdorfs 50%
Well, definitely not a top MLB player, but he is 89 so he probably wants to make sure he sets up his family and being a businessman, of course he wants to work the deal.

The more we see mediocre lineups and bad decisions (not pinch running Jones for Tauchman), I’m not even sure that it would have mattered if Sizemore got the gig instead. There’s not enough talent to win anyways and Venable is obviously learning on the job, just as Sizemore would have been.

I thought that was because Jerry swooped in and offered them a better deal?

The Sox are six feet under in baseball hell. How could it possibly get any worse?

Thanks for sharing. But one poster isn’t going to be happy about any of this.

Need a Jerry “I did that!” meme.

Ownership Change Will Result In . . .
- Luis Robert trade thread: La Pantera stays.
Have to just hope Pages keeps sucking at the plate and Robert starts hitting. The Dodgers could still always just stick with Edman as their primary CF but it’s pretty apparent that they want to keep him in a utility role.- Ownership breakdown: ishbias 35%, Reinsdorfs 50%
Sad but true, and I doubt things change at all if Michael takes over.- Alexander Canario
Yep, I think SoxTalk picked out better 1B than Vaughn in back-to-back offseasons. Michael Busch last offseason and Ben Rice this offseason. But it looks like only Busch may have been available.- Ownership breakdown: ishbias 35%, Reinsdorfs 50%
It’s funny you mention Comcast trying to put a wrench in free over-the-air sports on TV. When I was very young, Jerry Reinsdorf and Eddie Einhorn formed one of the very first subscription-based sports television services called Sportsvision. Jerry and Eddie were essentially trying to create their own pay to watch network just like Marquee, but years ahead of the Cubs. How ironic. - Luis Robert trade thread: La Pantera stays.
