  1. I assume it is a combined score for all OL positions he played last year. 21 is good. I just fear Poles giving him a big extension and watching him fall off a cliff due to his age.
  2. This is true. Fletcher can at least play all three OF positions and has value as a fourth outfielder. If Colas doesn’t hit, he is virtually worthless.
  3. Definitely possible and perhaps even likely. Since none of the three are sure-fire talents, I just see no reason not to try the youngest guy with the supposed big power in what will likely be a losing season. But it is possible that a more interesting outfielder becomes available. I just hope Getz jumps on that guy rather than hang onto guys like Slater, Colas, Fletcher, etc. if they aren’t performing.
  4. I just see it this way — Fletcher is already old enough that I doubt he is a significant contributor to the next competitive Sox team. I would rather use another season of losing to give at bats to a 24 year old outfielder who could potentially be a contributor to the next competitive Sox team, even if said 24 year old outfielder doesn’t pan out.
  5. Joe Thuney was graded last season by Pro Football Focus as the league’s 21st best pass-blocking offensive lineman.
  6. I heard they acquired Thuney to be their starting LT.
  7. Both guys (Heck and Tait) ended their careers in their age 33 seasons. Thuney will turn 33 next November.
  8. I don’t like the idea of giving up a 4th round pick and a new big contract to what will be a 33 year old OL after this season.
  9. There’s way too many good RB’s in this draft not to take an OL with their first pick.
  10. I know, but 32 years old already. Shredded in the Super Bowl, albeit the Eagles. The Chiefs are trading him to upgrade. Poles is once again taking the short-term approach to building an OL. On a one year deal and looking to be paid another big contract at age 33.
  11. A 4th round pick for a 32 year old OL. I’m sure this will work. Yuck.
  12. Pass. Poles doesn’t seem to understand that the Chiefs aren’t going to trade you one of their OL unless he is soon to be on the decline. 32 years old. Come on, Poles. Enough with this makeshift OL bullshit.
  13. I just hope they get a good SS or CF prospect.
  14. I think he still has some faith in Fletcher but it seems pretty clear that Getz isn’t a fan of Colas, and definitely not his glove. Yet he is still here when there have been other guys out there to give a test drive to.
  15. Haha, to be fair, I seem to recall this trade almost being a done deal but the Sox backed out at the last minute when Escobar suffered a slight quadriceps strain. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2021/06/white-sox-discussing-eduardo-escobar-trade-with-diamondbacks.html
  16. Explosive cigars like for Fidel Castro?
  17. I didn’t realize he was owed $19.5 million. He’s still somewhat productive at 36 years old but the Mets are probably stuck with him unless they eat the majority of that money and a contender wants him.
  18. I didn’t realize we had three outfielders out — specifically that Michael A. Taylor has been undergoing scans due to some elbow inflammation. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2025/03/al-notes-slater-garcia-canterino.html Oblique injuries take a while to get better and who knows what is up with Taylor? If these guys all hit the DL, perhaps they go with Fletcher, Robert, and Tauchman in the outfield. Hopefully the Mets can’t find a taker for Starling Marte and we can nab Canario as an extra corner OF. Drury makes the team primarily as an infielder but can back up a corner OF position in a pinch.
  19. I still fear him getting injured before Getz gets a chance to trade him.
  20. The Mets are apparently looking to trade OF Starling Marte to dump his salary, which would potentially open up an opening day roster spot for Canario. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2025/03/mets-trade-rumors-royals-starling-marte.html
  21. MLB and NBA hell burns even hotter than regular hell. 🔥 🔥 🔥
  22. Go ahead. I just think he aged out a bit. If it was 2-3 years when Cali wanted him initially, I think it would’ve made more sense. But honestly, if the Sox incur any more outfield injuries they may wish they had him.
  23. I didn’t want him. He’s already older than our internal options (Colas and Fletcher). I’d trade for a 24 year old outfielder however.
