  1. And the same ol’ owner, that truly makes the decisions.
  2. “Here’s all the bad tier 3 free agents the Sox wasted their money on rather than reeling in a Harper or Machado and Wheeler…”
  3. Please stop hiding these amazing threads with your admin powers. I’m sure I missed that thread titled, “String Which WestEddy Ruined by Being Smarter Than Us”. ?
  4. Amazing how someone can’t see the forest for the trees.
  5. Amazing how you b1tch and moan about people misrepresenting your past posts and then you come up with this pile of sh1t post that is a complete and utter lie. No one ever said those players would make the Sox competitive this season. People wanted to acquire guys like that solely to serve as flip candidates. Now why don’t you update us on the no shutout streak stat again? ?
  6. Why is that a ridiculous notion? His offseason was as epically bad as the Sox now are. He is going to set a record with this team that should have been unattainable. A random fan off the street could have had a better offseason than Getz did.
  7. Imagine defending a guy who failed to develop players in his previous role (the very purpose of his job) and whom one of the worst owners in two professional sports then promoted to the most important job with the team without even interviewing another candidate.
  8. Dear god, I didn’t realize how accurate @hi8is’s post was. I thought it was a joke post but it was REAL!!! Amazing story-telling. And absolute CRINGE by Schriffen. Stone is sitting back there thinking, “who in the f*** hired this clown to work with me? That Benetti dork was bad enough as it is.”
  9. Target acquired. 14 consecutive loss record hit with ease. Now let’s see how low they can go. But what’s the non-shutout streak at? Anyone know? That’s an equally important statistic. Let’s try to track both in this thread…
  10. I couldn’t read through your entire drunk post but I do remember thinking that the 2006 team was way better than the 2005 team and would easily make it to the playoffs. They ended up with a good record (90 wins?) but the division magically improved that year. They should have been a WC team at the very least but they missed out.
  11. Maybe, but do you think they will win with Robert in the next 3 years, and whatever other players the Sox have in the farm and free agents that JR allows Getz to sign?
  12. Epic fail on all fronts. The culture is sh1t, but I like how he used the word “eventually”. A nice subjective term to give him as much time as he needs to accomplish all of these goals that he failed at this season.
  13. Even better when you don’t get shut out, even if you lose your 14th game in a row and set the franchise record. What’s the no shutout streak at now? I haven’t seen you post an update on it in awhile. Inquiring minds want to know. Very important stat for this season.
  14. This is definitely a strategy Getz should be trying to employ. But he reports to a boss that cares more about the debits and credits T-charts than the scouting reports on players the Sox may be able to acquire if they ate some of the salaries of their own players. Just like with Hahn’s previous rebuild, it will likely only be the Sox dumping salary or salary neutral trades, which will limit the return that Getz can get. This is because, as your already know, the bottom line is more important to Reinsdorf than winning is (see his infamous quote about finishing in 2nd place in the division).
  15. True, they will lose in the shorter term. But they simply don’t have enough positional talent and an owner that won’t pay for it. The hope would be that you could get back 3-4 positional starters if they all pan out. Do you think a lineup of Robert and jack s%*# will ever win anything?
  16. No no no, go clean your glasses. He was awesome tonight! Shhhhhhhhhhh…
  17. The Sox will only ever win with a bunch of young prospects that pan out, period. At least until JR is gone. He seethes with anger at the thought of these $500 million dollar player contracts.
  18. More years of control equals larger prospect return. Robert is exciting when healthy, but I’ll pass on watching him have All-Star years on a losing team for the next three years. Even so, the Sox traded a CF that had a career that Robert likely will never even sniff for a 1B whom everyone knows and loves. That CF’s name was Mike Cameron. Robert is too injury-prone just like our other two busts. It appears Getz has realized what Sox fans already knew it.
  19. Smartest thing our stupid GM has chosen to do in awhile. Sell him while he’s still healthy and has numerous years of control. This is the only way the Sox have even close to a shot at filling all the holes in the lineup. Hopefully Robert gets hotter than s%*# before the deadline. And Jerry has his first non-blue pill boner for the first time in 40 years at the thought of cutting Robert’s contract.
  20. That’s me every Sox game I watch. Only way I can stomach it.
  21. This is what @sin city sox fan is known for. I’m pretty sure he breaks out the Jergens and pleasures himself as he waits for responses to his troll posts.
