I don’t think he should get credit. He kept him on the roster far longer than he should have. Nate Davis is next.

One Obvious Move Completed - Analytics Overhauled
A good GM would have been able to acquire those two prospects for Kopech alone and traded Fedde for something better than Vargas.

The very best kind.

Sell the Team, Jerry! The Cry of Every Chicago White Sox Fan Reaches a Crescendo After the Losingest Season in Major League Baseball History
I’m not arguing your logic and support. It was sound. The Sox just go above and beyond your average terrible moves. For example — Miguel Vargas’s numbers in the minors. It seems like the Sox level of scouting on him was looking at his minor league numbers and acquiring him based on the word of an assistant hitting coach that they fired a week later. Meanwhile, you watch him at the plate or in the field for a few games and the average person would never want to acquire him.

No evisceration for Getz. He managed to acquire a much worse player than Edman with the added benefit of 5 years of control for said terrible player.

You just know that they are using the older TI-82’s instead of the newer TI-84’s because Jerry got a deal on them, but they are mainly using them to play Tetris anyways.

Sell the Team, Jerry! The Cry of Every Chicago White Sox Fan Reaches a Crescendo After the Losingest Season in Major League Baseball History
This is the end of the road… I’m pretty sure that @VAfan was one of the very last posters that would defend the White Sox on almost each and every move using extensive data analytics that always ended up being wrong. We have no hope now…

Managerial “Search”
Is there a new Jeep model I haven’t heard of?

How the Sox went from 12th in fWAR/talent to last
Let’s admit it, they both suck.

How the Sox went from 12th in fWAR/talent to last
He’s a real person, he’s just not a real baseball player.
-
Managerial “Search”
The Sox and Getz are just a AAAA team for the Dodgers to rob their last few remaining decent players from.

Sox looking at building in South Loop
The intentionally leaked Dave Stewart news to The Athletic was just more of the same. Jerry is so obvious.

Managerial “Search”
I meant to go back 25 years, not 30. Correct on Lamont but Bevington never actually managed a team again after the Sox. He was just a third base coach for Toronto.

Managerial “Search”
In the past 30 seasons, only two White Sox managers ever got another MLB manager job after their tenure with the Sox — Jerry Manuel with the Mets and Ozzie’s ill-fated single season with the Marlins. The Sox sure know how to pick em.

Jerry Reinsdorf open to selling the White Sox per Britt Ghiroli
What do you mean? Manfred literally said, “I have confidence that things are going to work out in Chicago and we’re going to continue to have two teams in Chicago.” Manfred just questioned the location of the current stadium, which is a bunch of BS anyways. The problem is the owner and how every decision he makes turns to cow dung.

TLR, just turned 80 and still delusional…
Yes TLR, Jerry is a great owner. It isn’t his fault the Sox suck. It’s all the fault of the guys (GMs and managers) he hired, but none of it is his fault at all. Amazing. This guy needs to get the hell away from White Sox business.

Jerry Reinsdorf open to selling the White Sox per Britt Ghiroli
The latest TLR interview is even more embarrassing. TLR basically absolved Jerry of any blame and said he is a great owner. He instead blamed all the people JERRY FREAKING HIRED. You can’t make this stuff up. I’ll have to find the interview video/transcript and create a thread on it. I heard about it on Mully and Haugh this morning on The Score. EDIT: Here it is…

Managerial “Search”
Both managers and now GMs. 🤦♂️

Managerial “Search”
Sure, but these qualities would still describe a “bridge manager” moreso than signing an established manager like AJ Hinch when the Sox have finally built a team that they expect to win.
-
Managerial “Search”
I’m not quite sure what you mean. None of the rumored remaining candidates are highly lauded managers. I believe Schumaker is the only one that has been an MLB manager.
-
Managerial “Search”
Not really too disappointing when you realize that this will likely just be the bridge manager to when the Sox are able to get back to being a .500 team. And if they somehow strike gold with a competent manager, they can always try to extend him.

Sox looking at building in South Loop
While the free OTA option is nice, not having streaming options in addition is a whiff. I won’t have a problem watching Sox games because I get MLB.TV for free every year through T-Mobile and I am tech savvy enough to know how to get around the local blackout with a VPN. But not everyone wants to pay for MLB.TV or knows how to use a VPN and just wants an easy and reliable streaming solution like NBC Sports Chicago provided. Should people bust this out as their portable solution for watching Sox/Bulls/Hawks games in the Chicagoland area? Hopefully the slightly bent antenna will still get a good signal…

Blackouts? Manfred is on it
MLB.TV started playing the Sox postgame last year.

Well, Justin Fields has lost his starting job for sure after that game by Russell Wilson. So Wilson either needs to perform poorly or miss time for Fields to be the starter again so the Bears get a 4th round pick for the Fields trade rather than a 6th.
