  1. Moncada would still be owed almost $8 million for the remainder of the season if traded on the day of the deadline (July 30th), along with being owed his $5 million dollar buyout. Unless Jerry is picking up a lot of that money, I don’t see teams jumping to pick up one of the most injury-prone players in baseball, that isn’t even that great of a hitter when healthy.
  2. A team acquiring Moncada would be on the hook for the prorated remainder of his $24 million dollar salary for this year, as well as his $5 million dollar buyout, unless Jerry allows Getz to include cash in the trade. Moncada likely returns jack squat.
  3. Judging by that tweet, the Sox are going to attempt to rush an injury-prone player back, just so they can trade him for peanuts I guess. I agreed it doesn’t really matter because he is gone anyways but like most things this team does, it will likely end in hilarity.
  4. Haha, shredded by the last place Cubs. His ERA is now up to 4.42. Whoops.
  5. What did Robert do? I may have missed something…
  6. What could go wrong? Haha. This team is a joke. Not that it even matters but this team continues to make the same stupid decisions over and over regarding injuries.
  7. He’ll be back in August after the trade deadline, just in time to waste at bats before he is finally off of this roster for good.
  8. That’s “The Legend” to you!
  9. “A little silly” is a massive understatement.
  10. Agreed, I think the Sox would rather have younger prospects. I was just saying that Kierstad still has a lot of value, just less to the Sox with where they are at in their rebuild (i.e., not even close to competing IMO).
  11. A revolutionary new call for a young broadcaster or simply embarrassing? You decide… https://www.mlb.com/video/trevor-larnach-flies-out-sharply-to-center-fielder-luis-robert-jr?partnerId=web_video-playback-page_video-share
  12. Nah, they are just waiting to maximize the impact because they truly think Sox fans are that stupid. Grifol’s firing will be this season’s version of the Kenny and Hahn terminations from the end of last season. At the same time, they are probably hoping for a new strand of Covid to break out so they can cancel SoxFest.
  13. Sorry, Twins have 15 wins out of 16 games against the Sox over the last two season.
  14. I believe the rookie/prospect cutoff is 130 major league at bats for MLB and Baseball America. Kjerstad has 74 at bats over the past two seasons. I doubt Kjerstad has lost much value with the way he is currently hitting in the majors.
  15. The guy got an undeserved promotion to a position that no other team in baseball would have given him. He accepted his deal with the devil, I mean JR. Getz has no shame.
  16. Garfien just said the Sox are like 15-16 against the Twins over the past two seasons. He also said the Sox are 0-49 when down in the 7th inning. I guess Pedro’s boys do in fact quit.
  17. You have to be really good at being bad to go 0-8 against any team.
  18. Watch the Twins put up a 5 spot this inning.
  19. I doubt this team would score a run the majority of the time if they started every inning with a baserunner at 3B.
