  1. I try to forget the bad ones. Daniel Hudson turned into a good pitcher. The trading away of Edwin Jackson was just as bad.
  2. Yes, he had a great season last year but he ended it with an injury (elbow inflammation). Surprised to see a team give up a good deal of talent and a pick for a guy who was still recovering from this same elbow issue over the winter. This article is a couple weeks old but still applies. https://www.sportsmockery.com/chicago-white-sox/the-white-sox-may-have-fleeced-the-mariners/
  3. Can’t even watch this one on TV? Lame.
  4. The strategy is so pathetically obvious, I can’t believe people beg these supposed “insiders” for any morsel of news that they more than likely don’t have. They throw out some short vague bullshit that will only ever make them look like they have sources but it never includes enough details that they will ever be truly wrong.
  5. Exactly! Like saying the team that is interested is not a specific team. What harm could possibly be done by naming the actual team that has interest? I really don’t buy that the outing of a trade and the players involved is going to get the trade cancelled. The Quintana trade was scooped a day earlier and it didn’t get the trade cancelled. All this strategy does is not out the supposed “insider” as someone with no sources, as they can say whatever vague BS that anyone else could.
  6. Another one bites the dust. @Lip Man 1 being proven right.
  7. McGuffey is not as baseball clueless as Chuck but he’s still pretty clueless if you listen to him on their podcast. He was on the Puig for RF hype train along with Chuck. They are both old school meatball fans, but at least they have the balls to rip the Sox a bit unlike most of the ass-kissing Chicago sports media guys.
  8. Trade him before the start! Don’t risk potential injury or poor performance!
  9. Especially with all the early collusion between teams and players and their agents before the official start of free agency, so all the big signings are released immediately and all at once.
  10. The dude is turning 28 in April. I think we are already there.
  11. What a great example of how these contracts end up working out for the player. If it’s actually TJ surgery, Giolito will be getting $38.5 million to barely pitch for the Red Sox.
  12. You’re right. How does Devin Singletary get more guaranteed money than Swift?
  13. Poles, because he waited too long to work a deal. Now the QB needy teams already grabbed one. Why would a team give up a good draft pick for Fields now when there is no competition for him?
  14. Let’s be honest. A 2nd round pick could be another starter, an OL for example. Obviously a GM shouldn’t be banking their offseason on receiving a 2nd round pick happening for sure, but it would be a pretty big difference.
  15. The Score is talking about this right now. Danny Parkins thinks that this news is bogus and that Poles already oversold his hand and is trying to save face now. Basically, before the combine, all the NFL reporters were saying that Justin Fields could bring back a 2nd or 3rd round pick. Then, the news came out during the combine that the Bears were definitely drafting Caleb Williams. So now, all the rest of the QB needy teams in the NFL know the Bears have to deal Fields and aren’t willing to give up as much as what he was initially rumored to be worth.
  16. “This is White Sox baseball corpseball.”
  17. The rest of the NFL apparently knows Fields can’t throw the ball and that he’s a RB pretending to be a QB, just like Bears fans.
  18. Sometimes a QB needs to win games with their arm in today’s NFL. Fields does not have the ability to do so.
  19. The Bears record was 10-28 with Fields as their starter.
