  1. Man, we all just missed something we will never see in the regular season due to this game not being televised… Back-to-back walks by Maldonado and Lopez. ?
  2. Benintendi singled and Robert homered. 4-1 Sox.
  3. I wouldn’t, but damn would another 2 to 3 strikeout scoreless inning would be nice to shove in the faces of the interested teams (Yankees, Rangers, etc.).
  4. 5 Ks in 2 innings. Nice showcase. This better be Cease’s last start in a Sox uniform.
  5. Cease gave up a solo shot to Jonathan India but he also struck out another 3 in that inning!
  6. Trade value rising at a guaranteed rate.
  7. This is true and Thome was great for the Sox, but it was most definitely more about Kenny hating Frank at the time. https://www.espn.com/mlb/news/story?id=2345972 https://www.nbcchicago.com/news/sports/frank-thomas-mending-relationship-with-white-sox/2093312/?amp=1

  9. Literally nothing he says sounds intelligent or planned. There is no way this numbnutz had the amazing interview that Hahn described so glowingly.
  10. True, but the more interest from multiple teams, the better. Bidding war!
  11. It’s a Chicago tradition. If you miss out on Machado and Harper, you just bank the money.
  12. Mahomes just cleared $21.6 million in cap space for the Chiefs.
  13. Good points. Last year’s draft pick trade was great but you could also say he’s basically thrown away a 2nd (Claypool) and perhaps a 5th round pick (Bates), if the Bills were going to cut Bates anyways, which appears likely. He’s definitely not perfect.
  14. I bet Grifol requested a new lineup template from the guy, and now Grifol thinks he’s the most amazing techie in the entire organization.
  15. Yep, I watched that game. He needs good protection, like all QB’s and especially rookie QB’s. He also needs a defense that is better than sucky ass USC’s so he doesn’t have to score 45+ points a game, which he will have with the Bears. Regarding your Fields comment, you need to get a grip. If any NFL team thought he was worth a damn, he would’ve been traded already. Dude can’t throw regardless of protection and all 32 NFL teams realize this, including the Bears. Until he learns how to read a defense and spot an open target, he’s a RB playing QB. He’s like a kid playing Madden that only ever throws to the highlighted route and primary target in every play that he chooses.
  16. Spreading the money around on mediocre to decent players, rather than going after a whale. Seems like a Sox offseason so far. Poles is avoiding the big money positions like OL and DL. Bates for center and a couple older safeties. Meh.
  17. Yuck, both injured and never the same again.
  18. I try to forget the bad ones. Daniel Hudson turned into a good pitcher. The trading away of Edwin Jackson was just as bad.
