  1. That would be cool. Get the GMs together in a hotel bar, feed them drinks, watch their inhibitions drop, and have tiny Ken Rosenthal creeping from behind fake plants and the bar listening to all of their trade discussions and reporting everything via his Twitter. 🤣
  2. It’s the same annoying BS as always. Teams waiting until the last minute of the deadline to make deals, and then some of the trades even get announced after the deadline is over.
  3. The scrap return will probably come just before 5:00 PM Chicago time on Thursday. Getz will sell whomever he gets back as a key part of the future. I wouldn’t be surprised to hear him say lie that Jerry was actually willing to pick up Robert’s 2026 option but the return was too good to pass up because it is composed of player(s) that they had specifically targeted. It will be a massive spin zone.
  4. He sure sounds like a guy the Sox would target. 🤣
  5. I think signing an age 33 Schwarber to a long-term deal for the current state of this team would be crazy. I know he’s still a stud but I can’t imagine him A) wanting to come here, or B) the Sox being competitive before Schwarber ages out.
  6. Imagine Getz trying to convince Jerry to pick up Robert’s option? It would be like him trying to convince Jerry to invest in a timeshare.
  7. You probably just provided further historical evidence of why they won’t pick up Robert’s $20 million dollar option.
  8. Sorry, I should have said that Robert will 100% be traded. That tweet is straight up BS. When all is said and done, the Sox will take the best offer for Robert, and it won’t match their unrealistic expectations. Picking up his $20 million dollar option is not even an option to them. They already know this.
  9. I think the Mets would rather give up some of their OF prospect depth, especially a guy like Gilbert. I know the Sox need power and Clifford would make sense but he also makes sense for the Mets as his timeline to the majors would be right when Alonso’s contract expires (if he doesn’t opt out).
  10. Dude would likely go down for a season-ending injury in ST right after Getz picked up his option. The risk of injury and underperformance (yet again) is far too high. I can’t see Jerry assuming that risk for $20 million dollars for this specific player regardless of what the payroll is next season.
  11. This is so much BS. I can’t even believe teams are buying this crap. Getz dealt both Cease and Crochet earlier than he had to. What GM is buying this garbage? I hate the term “posturing” since it’s overused so much, but Getz has zero poker face in this situation. 🤣 Let’s cut the BS reports to the media and admit he’s on the block. Let the rival teams targeting Robert up the ante on what is offered for him.
  12. But also, at a minimum, a team acquiring Robert is paying the remaining balance of his $15 million dollar contract along with a $2 million dollar buyout after the season, unless Jerry allows Getz to include a good deal of cash. His production this year doesn’t exactly make that look like a steal. Would be awesome if Jerry allowed Getz to include the money for his remaining contract and the $2 million dollar buyout. I’m sure the offers would be much better if that was the case.
  13. The trade return for two of the Sox expiring contract outfielders (Grossman and Eloy) last season have already retired. 🤣 Simply giving the playing time to young players is probably more valuable than whatever the lottery tickets are.
  14. Thanks for providing the background. I wasn’t sure what the video was trying to portray. Funny thing is if it happened with a Sox reliever, we would all just assume because they are wild as hell. 🤣
  15. His racist statements about his daughter’s boyfriend.
  16. I would rather do this with Lee instead of Haase, not that the Sox have shown any desire to do so.
  17. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2025/07/rays-trade-danny-jansen-brewers.html
  18. f*** no. Haven’t we learned from Fedde already? Thankfully, the Sox dealt him quickly, albeit for a mediocre return. Houser needs to be dealt before he turns back into a pumpkin at midnight. There’s absolutely no reason to extend a dude who will be 33 before next season starts and was never good to begin with. Sell high on this fluke.
