Who wouldn’t be excited to move to a new location, all paid by your parents, and all you have to do is play a fun game called football (or whatever other sport) and you get to enjoy and pass some classes! My 6’2”, 275 pound son spent his past 3 years playing against some bigger and overrated Mount Carmel kids that are now getting into college on scholarships. My son did a good job against them. I hope other dad’s share some more recent experiences with their kids getting recruited by colleges. It’s such an interesting experience, that could potentially dictate your kids’ career going forward as well.

Well, I guess you are in the minority then. The two highest paid talents on ESPN are — #1 Stephen A. Smith and #2 Pat McAfee. These two get paid the most because they generate the most revenue for ESPN. Sames goes for Mune. More talent and revenue generation equals a higher salary. There’s a reason Mune signed for $34 million and not the minimum. So that’s why money has to do with everything.

Outside of baseball fans, Pat McAfee probably is a bigger star than Murakami. He was a punter and kickoff specialist in the NFL for 8 years and had a fairly long tenure in the WWE. He makes more money from ESPN and other ventures than the Sox pay Murakami.
