Antonacci needs more time in the minors and wouldn’t solve all the problems with the lineup anyways. He would be jumping from AA to the majors. It likely wouldn’t be pretty.

I think the record is consecutive 100+ loss seasons by the same GM.

@southsider2k5 has made the same point in the past. We are basically now just at where every other team has already been. So while that’s good, they are still behind every other team. Also, one still has to question the scouting. I know it has been joked about, but it seriously seems like they just pick players to acquire in trades using scouting reports from past years. Does anyone see any hitting talent in Pereira so far? Dude looks terrible at the plate.

He has probably watched Jerry’s s%*# show longer than both of us. I know he has watched more than me. He is obviously a fan of the White Sox as he posts a daily historical facts about them. But Jerry is the equivalent of The Grinch on Christmas and can ruin anything, including the White Sox and Bulls.

Hitting is as bad as the pitching, and I had some hope for the lineup. I was wrong. Nice run differential through 2 games — 3 runs scored / 20 runs allowed. Chris Getz needs to go. He can improve the infrastructure all he wants but we need a GM that can actually identify talent. He wanted Pereira? The guy is a fucking wind tunnel.

In any case, the Mets slow played Robert all ST and babied him. Our coaching staff used to have him play regular season games swinging with one arm while telling him to slow jog the bases.

If he has a fairly healthy year with the Mets, Sox training staff heads should roll.
