Fedde/Pham/$ to STL, Kopech to LAD, Miguel Vargas + prospects to Sox
I just want to point out I predicted Kopech as a member of the Dodgers’ rotation by 2026 on a couple occasions a few months ago. Not sure how to search the forum in order to prove it, but I hope it is duly noted nonetheless

Fedde/Pham/$ to STL, Kopech to LAD, Miguel Vargas + prospects to Sox
Yeah but he was a top 40 prospect last year, and he’s had over .400 OBP each of last three years in minors. What bothers me is that he has hair on one side of his head but not the other, in his baseball ref pic. I mean, what the H?

Yeah it seems like there should be a prospect coming from the cardinals. Are we sure we have the final trade info

7-27 game thread Sox Vs Ms, looking for lucky #13
Sox lineup going to expose Woo as a bunch of woo today. His low walk rate will be of no use, since every average pitcher can put up a low walk rate against the Sox. Woo doesn’t make it out of the fourth. Dejong bombs and Sheets eats Woo’s dinner

7/26 Sox vs. Seamen 7:10PM
Sacks just filling up with Seaman tonight, boys

Randy Arozarena traded to SEA
The upside is greater with Robert but I’d rather put my money on Arozarena actually producing over 150 games a year, so it kind of evens out in my mind. This is somewhat concerning return relative to Robert imo. Hopefully if Getz doesn’t get an A/A- return, he just holds. Don’t get why Rays even made this move

Randy Arozarena traded to SEA
That seems like a very light return. Arozarena hasn’t exactly been tearing it up this year, but he’s still been well above average overall the last few years with 2 more years of control

Great pitching breakdown with Brian Bannister
Not sure how McGwire was a failure as a hitting coach

Crochet wants an extension to pitch in the playoffs
I think Fedde might be able to command a better prospect than either of those guys, given that there are nine teams within 1 game of the WC or better in the NL and seven in AL, plus the Mariners and possibly Rangers in contention for Western division. So at least 18 teams possibly in market. There’s not enough Fedde caliber starting pitchers to go around considering the numbers of inferior ones on those teams. A package of B prospects would be ok, but given the budget value of his deal in a seller’s market, just hope sox really maximize this trade. Probably need to trade Crochet first to do that, so teams can’t use Fedde as a fall back position anymore

KC and Philly have interest in Tommy Pham
Because they currently have Christian Pache and Weston Wilson on the roster
-
Dodgers interested in Robert, Crochet, Pham
I’d rather just eat Benintendi for three years than drive down the return. Sox have to knock any trade of Crochet, Robert or Fedde if not out of the park, at least into the gap

Crochet Trade Updates (Nightengale)
Hopefully, because a Jones headliner isn’t worth either of them

Managers on the Hot Seat...
Pretty sure he’d still be the manager of the Guardians if he were interested in managing

Brooks Baldwin called up
No clue what you’re talking about

Brooks Baldwin called up
Same thing they said about TA

Sheets -NOT- ejected in a game the other day. Carry on nothing to see here, not ejected
The only chance? This is the Sox we’re talking about here

Sheets -NOT- ejected in a game the other day. Carry on nothing to see here, not ejected
I honestly thought back in december that there was no way Sheets would be on the OD roster

It’s hard to dislike a guy named Chuck. Let’s see if this holds true

White Sox select Hagen Smith, 2 preps on day 1
This team didn’t tank though. It crashed and burned. They were supposed to be good the last couple years, remember?
-
White Sox select Hagen Smith, 2 preps on day 1
Bonemer seems like a good pick to me, except the last high school bat they successfully developed was probably Harold Baines so kind of hard to get excited there
-
Maldy DFAed
Well we’re going to see plenty of roster churning moves like this over the next year plus, just like we have all year long. Borderline AAAA vets added and spit out. Not sure why this sticking out from any of the other moves. Sox obviously moving more of them over the next couple weeks. Not sure the point of clenching the teeth over them is

Heyman: Senzel to Sox
Well, yeah probably not. You never know though
-
Heyman: Senzel to Sox
Senzel still only has four years service time. Does that mean Sox get arb rights, or no?
-
Sosa Optioned, Mendick DFA, Senzel Signed
Yeah but they have to roster Senzel now
