  1. The person to whom you were responding, who said “Not exactly the NBA, NFL, MLB or NHL is it? ?” (Or the Olympics, if I may)
  2. I’m interested in seeing if Baldwin can hit in the majors, but no way he’s a top prospect, unless you mean something like top 500.
  3. A 29 year old free agent?
  4. Yeah but he was playing 3b exclusively this year
  5. Yeah well on my blog I ranked them the greatest of all time
  6. Getz has got to at minimum hit a triple with any Fedde or Crochet trade here to start redeeming himself.
  7. I agree. Develop pitching and acquire bats. That said, if Wolkow is actually our 6th best positional prospect, we aren’t actually doing that bad there either. If Getz uses the TDL to acquire some more bats, that could easily make up the disparity. Whatever you think of Getz, the deadline here is going to go a long way towards seeing whether he has any effective plan or not. Hard to complain about the organizational starting pitching depth at this point, though
  8. If I were the O’s I’d make an offer for Crochet AND Fedde. Strike while the iron is hot. They’ve got a lot of great prospects but I don’t see the pitching depth when they are otherwise in position to win some WS. Holliday, Mayo, Bradfield and Beavers for Crochet and Fedde and any bullpen arms they might find useful. That still leaves them with plenty of young talent on positional side. The relative cheapness of Crochet and Fedde would allow them to put some money into acquiring a bat via free agency if they need one. obviously that’s a lot to give up, but that’s a lot of high quality starting pitching to receive at a crucial juncture
  9. He comes back, goes on an absolute tear for a week and a half, Sox fans dream of actually being able to unload him for a C+ prospect, then he suffers season ending injury a couple days before TDL, is my prediction
  10. Yeah once you get beyond the top 40-50, the next 150+ are pretty much arbitrary. The 202nd guy could be every bit as good as the 86th guy , or vice versa, in reality
  11. At that rate, we should be at .650 by 2027
  12. Grifol? More like Awful
  13. I thought Wolkow was way underrated before the season even started.
  14. Bush at 5 doesn’t seem right but it’s not like I’m a scout
  15. How does a team wind up not scoring then
  16. I just looked it up. I was off slightly. Crochet was at about 1680 total pitches at 105.1 IP. Last year, Cease was at 1662 after 90.1 innings. So roughly, 105 Crochet innings equals 91 Cease innings
  17. There was at least some level of concern considering the majority of his starts he was limited to less than 90 pitches. If you go by pitch count, he’s thrown like 75-80 Cease innings
  18. Also a verb isn’t an adjective
  19. Ah. I think my eyes skipped over the ‘ea’
  20. Why would anyone advise their client to listen to white sox coaches? Seems like a bad career move to me
  21. Not sure where he got the 4.133 million either
  22. Could you imagine the braves going into the playoffs with rotation headed by Sale, Reynaldo and Fedde? I don’t see them matching up in terms of prospects though. Surely the Sox won’t trade him for more arms. Their top positional guy is a slap hitting infielder with no speed
