  1. Yeah but the reason players shouldn’t bet on baseball is the same reason the league shouldn’t be partnered with baseball gambling operations. MLB in effect was taking over/under bets on games where they were employing different baseballs. That is vastly more scandalous than a player betting, yet here they are issuing lifetime bans for the same thing the league is guilty of
  2. A 20 year old Claudell Washington would be an excellent return for Pham
  3. BS he was the designated whipping boy ling before his racial discrimination suit, due to decades of outlandish calls
  4. If you have a s%*# team, presumably you’d want the team to improve. A s%*# manager doesn’t help that happen. I don’t see how this is a difficult concept to comprehend
  5. Deloach has had over 1500 plate appearances between AA and AAA. Colas has only had about 650. Maybe that has something to do with it
  6. Fedde has twice the WAR of Crochet at this point
  7. Pete Gray outhit Maldonado with one arm for the Browns. .218 with a .520 OPS. Probably the equivalent of hitting .400 with two
  8. Yeah but guys like Hendriks, Graveman and Joe Kelly were starters in the minors. Guys who are middle relievers already at A ball typically never sniff the majors whereas Julk played in 93 games in the majors for a ninety win team last year
  9. Same could have been said of Reynaldo when the Sox put him in the bullpen.
  10. Back in the days when men were men, 20 year olds who were already relegated to the bullpen at low A weren’t even considered prospects.
  11. Yeah he’s a reliever at A ball that the south side sox had ranked as the 70th best prospect in the system. Dude was essentially organizational filler
  12. You mean how the league collectively refused to sign Trevor Bauer?
  13. Burger’s OPS’s have been 117, 113 and 120 and he had hard hit numbers comparable to Ohtani last year. Sorry just not buying that he’s an average hitter. Sox obviously aren’t growing 30 HR type hitters on trees here. At any rate, I don’t agree with trading a productive major league player with control for a single B- type prospect. Should have at least got two Eder types if you were going to trade him
  14. His arm isn’t exactly Moncada-esque either. But he seems to have way better pitch recognition than most of our recent “stars”
