QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Mar 21, 2016 -> 10:19 PM) Most of knew this was going to happen, though we hoped it wouldn't. What the witch hunters don't understand is that nothing good would come from exposing the players/coaches that complained. If the complainers are exposed it will just make things even worse for the clubhouse overall. Sale, Eaton and co need to let this go and focus on winning ball games. i agree 100% of this. of all that is responding in a positive way, the way we are saying, this was the best answer to all who wants to know why??? i hoped that the witch hunt didn't or wouldn't start and that is why i was happy on kw taking the bullet. then he chicken out and make that, well players and etc,,, came to him. f***ing chickenshiite for loosing faith is what he was standing for. now this witch hunt is a by-product of that. the thing is, if eaton is part of this, he really needs to go. trade him to the nl west coast and bury his arse and see if he will ever get as close to competing for a WS ring .... ever.

QUOTE (Black_Jack29 @ Mar 21, 2016 -> 10:24 PM) Yep. I'd give Nick Swisher an honorable mention as well. Given that the Sox turned Navarro into Jose Valentin, I'd say that LaRoche may be the Sox's worst free agent signing in my lifetime. performance wise, AL was bad, but he was never a bad teammate..... he was a bad employee to the sox org, but i am taking this idea of worst player, as in bad teammate.

QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Mar 21, 2016 -> 09:51 PM) http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/konerko-gre...ned-multitudes/ Gotta click, it can't really be summarized. i got to admit, the whole discussion of how a hitter gets prepared, esp paulie, amazes me and the art of perfecting different mind set in hitting. i would have loved to hear or read a whole approach but the late great tony gwynn.

QUOTE (fathom @ Mar 21, 2016 -> 09:27 PM) Of course it's Rollins. yeah i agree, but i was letting rv have his fun with this

QUOTE (Hatchetman @ Mar 21, 2016 -> 09:19 PM) I'm confused where Ventura is and isn't supposed to be involved in clubhouse activities. KW creates a s***-storm and Ventura is supposed to clean it up? there is really a fine line in which you are describing, that part of kw fault in this. there is a all sort of mixed minutiae of feeling and opinions. the bottom line, kw was within his official rights to do what he did, did he over did it, well the best answer will or should come from those who has no interest in this mess, within the clubhouse. now, the management / kw needs to put and drive in the nails in this f***ing mess, of those who is or may be doing the witch hunt. this is a total disregard of management and their office, and this falls directly on the lap of JR and the owners.

QUOTE (fathom @ Mar 21, 2016 -> 07:35 PM) Yep, but it's also where Ventura now needs to make sure the "witch hunt" isn't happening. whether kw handled this poorly or not is a moot point. this needs to come on down from on high or ii will let kw pass the word to the clubhouse, on behalf of his boss. that will be an edict of quit doing a witch hunt and make the choice for the captain of the team and make it their responsibility to ensure it stops. this is the reason why a trade of whomever is needed, b/c it is not stopping as hoped.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Mar 21, 2016 -> 04:15 PM) None of us will know what happens. This should have always stayed behind closed doors. and i agree, but the 2 players involve, 1 needs the media attention and he sure ran with it.

QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Mar 21, 2016 -> 06:11 PM) I don't think Loney would cost much either. I wouldn't mind getting him for nothing or the Sox just going with Avi/Melky at DH. If they were to get him, I'd like to see him at 1B more often than LaRoche was last season (was hoping the same about LaRoche this season). gots to deal with what is available and the price associated. the sox can work with loney and use him as dh and a #2 hitter. the sox don't use a prize prospect to get him is also the cost of what i would look out for.

QUOTE (LVSoxFan @ Mar 21, 2016 -> 06:31 PM) I think this nails it. Perfectly. wow, a great article. nice find and posting it. toward the end, this writer brought something up, if the players were so angry at the whole kw affair, and voiced it. then why didn't do the same thing on how they performed last yr and stunk up the field. i never thought of that angle and wow, that is a powerful angle to use.

QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Mar 21, 2016 -> 03:49 PM) To be honest, I don't care what happened... you can't MF the Vice President and call him a liar in front of the team - much less the entire world. Think about what that says about the organization. What about when young kids in the system see that? How about potential free agents? There might be a free agent that sees that and is like "Wow... that organization is really out of control - no thank you". Chris Sale should be suspended at least a game for conduct detrimental to the team. the sox org will deal with this as they see fit. i am answering for myself ..... this crap is another blackeye by the pampered ideas that fans believe in the sports players. on the flip side, what do they, the players care about our opinion any way????
-
QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Mar 21, 2016 -> 03:22 PM) Agreed. They may be correct, but you can't really talk that way to the media (nor behind closed doors) to a man in his position. which will never happen

QUOTE (iWin4Ron @ Mar 21, 2016 -> 03:20 PM) Nothing wrong with not standing for 9/11, but if none of his teammates sat with him for Lunch, that's pretty sad (unless he wanted it that way). wait a minute, i can understand freedom if choice, but this was an agreement that the whole mbl unions wanted a combine unity of standing for the 1st game back after the 9/11 incident. and there was clayton in the dugout while both teams players where standing for the memorial done by mlb for the victims of 9/11. and you are ok with this????
-
QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 21, 2016 -> 02:48 PM) These things are not related. The White Sox aren't going to draft for organizational need any time in the first 10 rounds at least. good point, i like to think and again this is my opinion, i see after the 3rd or 4th round. with that comp pick helping.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 21, 2016 -> 02:49 PM) When it got out that Jordan and Pippen and Phil Jackson made fun of Jerry Krause, or when the White Sox defied Terry Bevington, should players have been traded? This all comes down to what side you are on. If you think LaRoche had no case, everyone that stuck up for him was totally wrong and should be punished. That is why Sale and Eaton deserve some sort of punishment for violating JR's gag order. Yet when an anonymous player says some players didn't like him on the field after said gag order was issued, no problem popping that off. And vice versa. This is going to go away pretty quickly, hopefully forever, which will include not holding grudges and trading productive players with very reasonable contracts away just because they don't like KW. that is the problem with me, i am totally indifferent to AL and management situation. that will be dealt with their legal teams. it is the bs that was caused by others that i am angry about. ref to the bull yrs, i will not mix the bulls stories with the sox stories. different dynamics are involve.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 21, 2016 -> 02:34 PM) Same with me. There are plenty of guys I hated as players because they really sucked, but this is the one guy I would actually boo. His attitude was atrocious. He actually cried about run support in a game he gave up 9 runs. He is a AAA pitching coach right now. He is actually one of the last guys I would have thought would have been a coach in pro ball. as bad as navarro was, so was clayton. no sat with him in st for meal, he had the whole table for him self, he was rude and forget about the games after 9-11.... that for me, incensed me. refusing to come out and stand at attention for the memorial. instead he sat in the dugout. read bjmarte comments http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/lofiversion/....php?t1888.html i wish i could find the newspaper article on the story.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 21, 2016 -> 02:30 PM) Trading anyone over this would be ridiculous. it is not the action or intent, it was the reasoning and spitting it there for all to see, that made the org looked bad.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 21, 2016 -> 02:26 PM) That's an interesting question. In addition to Zavala in the 12th, the Sox also drafted Casey Schroeder in the 8th round. On the one hand, Schroeder played in the slightly more advanced league and was taken as a higher bonus pick. On the other hand, Schroeder struggled in Great Falls with the bat, whereas Zavala was a monster offensively. Schroeder is considered the better defensive catcher, but Zavala did OK. Either could start in Kanny, or they may even have the two of them split time there at first and maybe DH some too. that is an interesting idea pretty much how the college teams does it, both will share catching duties and one will be a catcher and the other .... well as you mention. the thing that i like now, with that added info on schroeder is the sox may be developing 2 really good prospects at catching and lets not forget that int'l player as well. dang that makes the sox selecting zach collin this yr as not an option.

QUOTE (Hatchetman @ Mar 21, 2016 -> 02:23 PM) For me it will always be Jaime Navarro. there are several.... but the main one is royce clayton.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 21, 2016 -> 02:09 PM) If the White Sox traded people based on what they thought of KW, the roster would be a GreenSox utopia. It's like the Bulls with Jerry Krause. so did i. but if anything, i can envision eaton being traded with his social media phone before sale. sale issue will be address, i believe after the season is over.

after reading the article i am really stoke of the Z brothers. i like that nickname. i never imagine this kid is sooo skilled at the "game" period. great job.

QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Mar 21, 2016 -> 01:28 PM) I didn't realize Loney was the only external option. And I love prospects, but I don't hand jobs to the fringe ones. The guys you listed can not be counted on to fill LaRoche's role. looking at the option at this time and am looking at Loney as an option. i can get really excited, as long as the price is not step in ref to what the sox will need to address. something like coats and barum works for me. the thing i like is loney hit to strikeout factor and his avg. he would be the perfest #2 hitter and if needed the sox can look at a nice pkg with Avi fronting the trade for another low level, young prospect. pls he if he as a rep of being bringing a good leadership quality, that will also solidify the leadership part on this team.

QUOTE (Lip Man 1 @ Mar 20, 2016 -> 07:58 PM) Of course he has "complete faith" in the front office that has provided fans with six losing seasons in the last nine years. Loyalty without accountability is the White Sox mantra don't you know! Mark well, i am really surprise mr. social media is not tweeting anything of this, this was bs from his camp from the beginning. it is finally over for what it is worth, damage has been done. lets get this team back on course.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 15, 2016 -> 03:57 PM) Five of the writers from Future Sox got together to respond to a few questions going into 2016. It's a good way to get some different perspectives on what to expect this year. This is Part One, covering two questions - who will move up prospect lists the fastest in 2016, and who is your favorite sleeper. Answers from Rob, Will, Brian, Matt L and myself. Part two in a couple days. What are YOUR answers, after reading ours? well i really took my time to digest all this info and again great info guys, yous guys does the best work. for me, i am going to look at things differently b/c of the parameters of what is uses and is mostly subjective. Prediction time: Who will be moving up the rankings from the pre-season list to the mid-season list? for me it will be one of my fav prospects Jordan Guerrero-sp he will move right behind Adams and both will be exciting as arm of the future. my next one will be Corey Zangari-1b. who is my fav sleeper. Johan Cruz-inf, Eddy Alvarez-inf, and Jordan Guerrero-sp. now most will wonder why i am putting Guerrero on here twice as a sleeper and rising. well, this yr he will make the sox fans know his name. he will really put him talent out there for all to see. my biggest question marks are the pitchers from #8 thru 30. i see a lot of possibilities as well as a lot of disappointments.

i have always enjoyed the draft and i was majorly excited on this yr draft potential as any in the past. i saw this as a deep 1st round with it going into the comp rounds in the first round. however i still think the 2014 top 5 picks are or will be really hard to beat. what i do not like is the fav's college players, esp the pitchers are struggling. i am wonder if this will continue thru the yr. if they struggle they may fall. leaving a little opening for other players to move up, or so i would think. this now leave the sox pick at #10 as a huge question mark and how the other 9 teams will pick. meaning at #10 it can be anyone's guess. once the top, lets say 15 is sorted out the rest will pick up as predicted. that comp pick will be an exciting selection, with several potential possibilities, like zack collins and drew mendoza being there. this is going to be an interesting ncaa season.

Who do you believe is MOST guilty in the Laroche situation?

QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Mar 20, 2016 -> 01:17 PM) There are many responsible for the mess going on right now but I think another factor worth considering that has yet to be mentioned is hi8is and his relentless pursuit of a good poop. Makes sense hi8is would be responsible for this perfect s***-storm, would it not? oh man, constipation is really hard on the body, drives everyone crazy..... i can see it.
