  1. I know I am kinda late in the thread, but we should probably start calling this place carlcrawford.com.
  2. Theres some real evidence that shows he couldn't have killed himself. Reading into all the details it seems like he couldn't have done it himself after injecting himself with so much heroin. Also bringing in the fact that the writing in the letter really could have been from a second person brings up a lot of questions. Even though there is a lot of evidence this "suicide" wasn't really a suicide no one will ever find out unless Courtney admits it. This is sort of like the Biggie and Tupac murders, no one will ever find out the truth until someone speaks out.
  3. Am I the only one afraid of what our bullpen will look like next season? Hermy was great before his back gave him fits, but even if his back is ok this season should we expect the same from him?? Then Politte, I am not sure of his 2nd half numbers, but he got saved quite a few times and yet again another great year from a marginal reliever. Can Jenks handle the job? I am not worried about Cotts. Vizcaino was good in the 2nd half, hes gone. No Marte, while he was bad he could still come back. I hope KW has a plan, which I know he does I just hope it works. Our bullpen is looking a little off at this point.
  4. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Dec 14, 2005 -> 12:55 AM) Jon Garland for Aaron Rowand.
  5. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Dec 14, 2005 -> 12:52 AM) I don't think you can simply because Garland is on the last year of his deal. Plus Griffey hurt his foot at the end of last year, but it was said he could've played after a week if they were in contention which they weren't. It'll be 5 years from now when people start saying he isn't injury prone anymore, and by then he'll be retired and others will be wishing we didn't miss the boat on him. Garland for Griffey or bust. I don't want Pods in CF. I don't want Abreu in CF. I wouldn't want Griffey, I don't care if it was a little foot injury. If he was so healthy to play after a week then why didn't they let him at least spot start. Even with JG in his last year I am sure there are teams in the playoff hunt hungry to acquire a pitcher.
  6. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Dec 14, 2005 -> 12:48 AM) I say Garland for Griffey because Griffey is a natural CF, probably would get dealt for SP because Cinci needs alot of it, and he's a great LH at bat. Plus we wouldn't have to move Pods from LF. Checkout the lineup: LF - Podsednik SS - Uribe DH - Thome 1B - Konerko CF - Griffey Jr. RF - Dye C - Pierzynski 2B - Iguchi 3B - Crede We all know how much Ozzie loves the lefty-righty matchups. This would be his wet dream come true. I am sorry but I think we could get a better player in return than an old injury plagued Griffey.
  7. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Dec 14, 2005 -> 12:41 AM) Garland for Ken Griffey Jr??? Where would he...nm
  8. QUOTE(SoxFan562004 @ Dec 14, 2005 -> 12:40 AM) the funny thing is I really believed KW when he said last week he was done with major moves. He had to go into super secret double probation uber stealth mood on this one. Flying under the radar is KW's game. I bet we will never hear him say anything about signings or trades since he lost Vizquel. I am sure hes not too worried about that anymore though.
  9. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Dec 14, 2005 -> 12:36 AM) Buehrle to the bullpen anyone? There's our 2nd lefty. Shouldn't that be in green?
  10. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Dec 14, 2005 -> 12:04 AM) Agreed here, right now our major league club is much stronger imo on paper but like you said that means nothing. Getting to the farm, we'll basically have this whole ballclub back next year as well so that will give us some time to replenish the farm and add pieces when needed in 08. It's very interesting though what Kenny is doing. I didn't expect us to make too many moves this offseason, but damn KW has a plan. As the rest of the division is improving so are the sox, not only next season, but for the next 2 or 3 seasons. Damn im excited, I have faith in KW. Watch and learn while the true Exec of the year works.
  11. Son of a b****! another one of our top prospects! I don't think KW is going to get a 3B, thats why he got Mack, but I wouldn't doubt it with Boras and Crede's back. It sucks giving up Young though, it looked like he would be the next break through star with us besides McCarthy. I trust KW though, with our OF already set and Owens, Sweeney, Nanita and few other prospects we should be fine in the OF. As long as Vazquez pitches good we should not miss Young too much.
  12. Well I hope KW doesn't give up Young for Vazquez. KW is in the driver seat both because Garland had a better year last year and because Vazquez is demanding to be traded.
  13. Holy crap, I just logged on to see Vazquez could come to the sox. I am not going to read through 22 pages, but does any know if he will wave his no trade clause?
  14. I cannot wait to get rid of my god damn Economics class, but not much will improve next semester with my horrible schedule and precal which is just the 2nd math class out of the 4 I have to take. Really cool huh. We should have a suicide smiley.
  15. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Dec 12, 2005 -> 05:43 PM) The PS2 won't play burned DVD's. At least not the original models. Maybe it changed for the new ones. Yes it will, mine is pretty original and it plays all of my backups just fine.
  16. Your PS2 will read burns just fine. DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter are good to make backups.
  17. No thanks. I don't think he would be a risk in the clubhouse though. I know MB is pretty cool with him from their time during the Japan series a few years ago. But back on the topic we have enough options from within that will be cheaper and can probably match his production.
  18. QUOTE(SnB @ Dec 11, 2005 -> 12:22 PM) i think KW knows how important AJ was to us last year. He'll get his due from us, I really don't have any doubt about it. ^^^ We really have no one to replace him in the immediate future and the way he molded in with our team last season is almost a given he will be with us for at least another 2 years. I have faith in KW locking him up. Now JG, I don't know...
  19. Can I borrow a feeling. Can I borrow a jar love...
  20. QUOTE(WinninUgly @ Dec 7, 2005 -> 06:30 PM) Just FYI. Cool pic of Arow at the Bears/Packers game here: http://www.chicagobears.com/fancenter/photogallery.jsp He did the coin toss. Ahh more Aaron. Phillies are definitley my new favorite NL team. I will miss you Arow!!!!
  21. That race car had me laughing my ass off.
  22. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Dec 5, 2005 -> 06:32 PM) Damn, right after we trade Rowand... ugh, im still hurting about that. I don't think I will learn to deal with it until I see Thome hit a few bombs.
