  1. Are Help Desks very closely managed in the industry? Closely managed as in micro-manage each employees time, literally by the minute on what they're working on?
  2. Basically said he didn't play in as many games as he thought he should have. That he would play one game and get a few hits and then back to the bench the next game. Not sure what he expects... the only reason he played so much 2 years ago is because Tehean was hurt/wasn't performing.
  3. I am a Help Desk Technician. Been pretty busy the first few days just training and learning their software and how they operate. Thought I'd have it all down pat, but it's a ton of stuff to soak in at once.
  4. I am happy to post that I am now employed!! First post college job! Finally after a few months of searching!
  5. Nope, not yet. I'm not saying goodbye to my favorite player until it's official. (Boohoo) haha.
  6. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 19, 2011 -> 11:28 AM) I would be surprised if the Yankees and Red Sox go after him after how their last dips into Japan's pitching pool have gone. While that makes sense, I can't see the situation where neither of those teams would not be interested. Especially the Yanks with their patchwork rotation.
  7. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 13, 2011 -> 01:49 PM) Mariano Rivera is at 599. Best.Ever. So glad I can say I got to see him.
  8. I remember correct usage of commas was a problem.
  9. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Sep 8, 2011 -> 03:34 PM) Job interview on Tuesday in Arlington Heights! Good luck, I've got one today and one tomorrow.
  10. Anyone have any salary negotiating tips? Also, I assume it isn't a bad thing to ask for a couple days to think about an offer, but what if pressured for an answer quickly? Finally I'm having some luck with this job hunt.
  11. Konerko is just a great baseball guy all around. He goes out there and does his job. He doesn't complain or cause distractions. He plays through injuries and is a heck of a guy in the clubhouse. On top of that, he's one of the best players this organization has ever seen and has led them to a World Series championship. As a White Sox fan, I'm very happy I got to see him play and I truly appreciate his contributions. PK
  12. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 8, 2011 -> 11:08 AM) I think every inning he gets this season is a benefit for him next year. Probably... he's only at 111.2 innings right now.
  13. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Sep 3, 2011 -> 11:36 AM) Funny, a few months after applying to Apple, I finally get an email inviting me to their interview event banquets they do and the manager of the store I applied to(well one of them) told me he wants me to work there. I already got a job in IT that I love. Apple would pay me more, but I'm a PC. Never hurts to be well rounded and have Mac experience. Not that I'm saying quit your job either.
  14. QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Aug 31, 2011 -> 11:52 AM) A-Row no mo. I remember when people were pissed Kenny didn't sign him at 14 million a year or whatever...
  15. QUOTE (dasox24 @ Aug 30, 2011 -> 10:45 AM) For the 1st time ever, I can't respond to this thread... It goes like this for me... For the 1st time ever, I can't respond to this thread...
  16. QUOTE (JohnCangelosi @ Aug 30, 2011 -> 07:58 AM) LOL, reminds me of the Chuck Norris jokes. Aren't these The Most Interesting Man In The World lines?
  17. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Aug 25, 2011 -> 08:05 PM) I don't like a situation where I can't root for Jim Thome. Not that I didn't root for him, but he's been in that situation for 1.5 yrs in my book.
  18. I'll be there watching Mark do what he does. Can't wait! Lets go Sox!
  19. QUOTE (Jeff Liefer @ Aug 22, 2011 -> 09:10 PM) That's right. Okay... after this happened and going back and reading this thread from the beginning... I think this should be nominated for thread of the year...
  20. You have to applaud Jose. He may not have been the best player on the team, but he worked his tail off.
  21. I really don't have any faith in this team, but Humber being put on the DL isn't really a nail in the coffin. Stewart has been getting the job done.
