  1. Jose is not much lower than Jeter WHAT? Jeter is a great fielder, Valentin is avg, how can you compare? Also, our line up can match with theirs? wtf? I understand statistically, our line up has produced more than theirs, but in the playoffs which would you rather have?
  2. That pisses me off because didn't Thomas get ejected for just an exchange of words in the last series? Oh but Sammy touched and yelled at the ump but that's ok.
  3. Timo has been great and not just playing good games but playing great games, like someone else said, he has given us some BIG hits with that in mind Timo should get playing time but I also have to go with switching them out with their success towards the pitchers. This also doesn't mean Clee can't ever have a day off... I have faith in Oz though, besides his high pitch counts, I think he can do a good job dealing with the dilemma. Rowand also HAS to get playing time also, hes been playing good and is better defensivly with his gun, he should never be forgotten.
  4. Not only is this a big start for FG since its his first in a sox uni but because its for first place in the heat of a division race. Show us what we traded for!
  5. Man as much as shock I am still in that the sox got rid of so many good players and as we thought an untouchable one as Olivo was... well I now understand that no one is untouchable, anyone could be had for the right price.
  6. We really overpaid and I agree for a pitcher in demand as much as he was we had to but you don't trade away your #1 prospect, one of your only real SS propects, and your ONLY catcher with a good upside. Not only with a good upside but with star written all over him.
  7. Reed wasn't that big of a shock to me I mean comon do you really think we were going to get a great pitcher without giving up our #1 prospect? That's 2 years in a row we give up our #1 prospect, if we don't get deep into the playoffs I will be REAL pissed. Olivo is my guy, he will never leave to me.
  8. I too get that vibe but you got to understand he's been with that team pretty much his whole career. If Olivo would have wanted to speak to the media as he didn't because of the bad news to him you would have gotten that vibe too from him.
  9. "Garcia mentioned at the postgame press conference that he would love to return to the Mariners, perhaps as early as next season. " http://seattle.mariners.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...s_sea&fext=.jsp
  10. Totally agree, I don't know why but his departure is a big blow to me, I am still both sad and mad.
  11. Hey for a good pitcher a great OF and a real good rare catcher I would do that deal in a second. Not only that but Maggs could still come back and resign when the season is over. Even Freddy said it himself, Seattle is still a possibility when he becomes a free agent, and just that comment pisses me off more.
  12. On the way home from work today I was listening to the radio and they were talking about how they still think Jones might be coming to the South Side and Maggs departure but not only that but also the deal involving Johnny Estrada. I wish he could be had because we are in big trouble without Olivo... I also heard KW in the morning on the way to work speaking of the Garcia deal and possibly other deals in the works, he didn't say anything because he said he finds it disrespectful to say he wants to improve a part of the team and disrespecting the players who try hard everyday. However, KW has said in other interviews there is another big deal in the works and I am hoping for some bullpen help along with some kind of good catcher in the majors or a high prospect in the minors. As you guys can see I am still hurting from Olivo's departure.
  13. Good luck Miggy, I just realized how much I enjoyed watching you and how much I will miss you... Go out there and show Seattle what a good player they got and show KW how much of an idiot he is.
  14. He better get us another catcher with a decent future because Olivo was everything the sox had in the C position. Never going to happen but I would love Barret... son of a b****... I guess I see how much I liked Big MO right now, good luck in Seattle
  15. This is such bulls*** man, for a f***in renta player we are losing our future our STAR future... Man words are words what happened with Tub O Goo saying he would resign, what about Robbie saying he would resign? Now they got Garcia saying hes gonna resign man this is such bulls***. WHY? Man I know KW could have done better than this s***, what a bummer. We take 2 out of 3 from the scrubs now then we lose MO, f*** you KW.
  16. Oh my god, the other day I was looking at some pictures at Comiskey when I was little remembering how good the Rangers were those days, then I saw Greer in a picture and im just like wow "Rusty Greer" what a great name and player he was. Back to the subject, The Tribe are gonna be dangerous. Sabathia, Westbrook, Lee god damn. It wasn't even that long ago they dismantled the team, wasn't 2000 the last time they were in playoff contention? Damn they have got some good players over there Blake, Martinez, Belliard. Don't forget about Rick White, that guys a star. lol
  17. Momentum would do wonders right now as our pitching isn't clicking too well, some momentum would give us a huge boost because our pitchers will feel more comfortable and confident in each other. I will tell you this much, heading into this important series with the Cubs while in the playoff hunt means a lot. If the sox get rolling there's no telling how good they can be if everything starts clicking.
  18. "If I'd asked you who was second in the AL in OPS right now, would you have come up with Big Frank? A couple off years and the Big Hurt fell off our radars. Put him back on. He's got 58 walks right now, which, if you're not Barry Bonds, is really good. He's also slugging at a .615 clip and pasting doubles and dingers all over the yard. It's just like the old days. " Finally The Hurt gets some recognition on his great season, he should be in the AS game as he should have last year at home but it didn't work out that way as Everett took his spot. I will vote my butt off for him because he deserves to be in it. Good luck to him and hopefully he goes on a tear that will gaurentee him a spot in the game and will really show he is back, not only that but wouldn't it be good if our #4 hitter's avg is .320 once Maggs gets back? Heres the link: http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=neel/040624
  19. Your right, your sounding a little too gready, with our luck in the fifth starter spot give me 1 run in five innings every fifth rather than 3 innings and 5+ runs. I see where your saying he still needs to improve because he does, the Tribe could have won todays game if it wasn't for ARow but when you look at our success rate with the fifth spot, I'll take it. Rauch has shown a couple times he can do it at the major league level, nothing would be better than some quality pitching right now because we are horrible. I hope he can hold the spot down until we get another starter.
  20. Man this sucks... the sox need to step it up BIGTIME. I have faith in them though.
