QUOTE(Dick Allen @ May 24, 2007 -> 05:32 PM) Maggs Ordonez is on fire. 4 for 4 today. He's hitting .361 with 12 hr and 45 rbi. He also has 23 doubles already. Maggs is a very good hitter. I am not surprised. I've seen a few of his homers this year and some of them he completely destroyed the ball.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 26, 2007 -> 12:55 PM) I would surely hate him if he was ever on another team. Oh wait, that already happened... I definitely couldn't stand him when he was on the Twins, but I absolutely love the guy now. Very true. I was ecstatic when we signed him. BOOYAH!

I lost all respect for this article when I read Pods was still with the sox... lol jk I found the game winning shot from AJ off Buehrle pretty funny. Arod and Soriano on the sox? Interesting read.

I wouldn't doubt it if a few people in the clubhouse don't like him. I would actually be surprised if someone didn't. It has been said already, but the guy does everything he can to win a game and you can't blame him. I think his presence adds a lot to this team. Although I would like it if he would keep his mouth shut on the radio sometimes, that's just him.

White Sox vs. Devil Rays, 5/25/07 (W)

QUOTE(Reddy @ May 25, 2007 -> 09:20 PM) you ever feel like when another team has 2 on 1 out that its much more pressure for our guys than when we do it to them? ... in these situations i almost always feel like we're gonna give it up All the time... -
QUOTE(BigSqwert @ May 24, 2007 -> 04:30 PM) Who is that in your avy? Sara Varone
-
I might be able to make it.

Our offense is just not good. Taking the series is the most important part though. It is never good to get shutout by a Gaudin or any other pitchers like him, but it's going to happen with an offense like ours. I am willing to forget about today and take 2 out of 3 from TB.

Danks gets some love from Baseball America

QUOTE(bmags @ May 22, 2007 -> 09:23 PM) like others have said, i think danks has the one up for a rookie of the year award being that many have a "not a true rookie" kind of bias. Everything is looking good now. He just needs to keep it up and should be able to get it. -
God damn it's so good to see Thome back.

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 22, 2007 -> 09:51 PM) Well we did sweep them here last year thanks to the homer by Mack off Huston Street. Might as well do it again. I was there! That game was badass!

QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ May 21, 2007 -> 04:02 PM) What did you say? I'm too busy staring at the tits in your avatar. Nice work! Haha, Thanks.

North needs to shut the f*** up. As a sox "fan" he really needs to shut his god damn mouth. He has a horrible show with an irritating voice.

I forgot to add that our pitching from the 7th inning on has a 4.67 ERA. Good for 23rd in the majors.
-
Aarsdma - 3.63 MacDougal - 5.40 Jenks - 3.18 Masset - 6.61 Logan - 4.63 Sisco - 6.75 Thornton - 4.66 That's the ERA of each guy in our bullpen. We have seen Aardsma blow up in the late innings 3 times now. Logan loves giving up those big homers. Either really good or really bad. Sisco can't throw a strike. MacDougal - ...can't throw a strike. Thornton - Throws too many 1st pitch fastballs. Masset - Our long reliever who gives up too many hits and walks while striking out no one, but he's on par with Jenks. Jenks - the only guy who has done anything good even without his best stuff. I know a lot of these guys are young. I know no one is going to have a 0 ERA the whole season, but these guys were barely getting the job done when they were doing good and now just completely suck. With this offense if we can't turn the game over with a lead to the bullpen we are DONE.

Sox vs Lilly, Marquis = 2 losses? Pretty bad.

That's it, blow the whole f***ing thing up

QUOTE(fathom @ May 19, 2007 -> 06:50 PM) It's called being unathletic and aging. It's sad to see how teams have easy it is for teams to score on gappers against the Sox. Which is exactly why we need a real replacement in center before the season is over. QUOTE(AirScott @ May 19, 2007 -> 06:54 PM) Dye has always been awkward in the field, I guess that normally comes with being 6-feet-5-inches and 240 pounds. Even his diving catches look odd. But he's got an arm. Iguchi has never been that slick of a fielder, but that's not why we signed him. Last year he did a good job turning the double play and going to short right field on ground outs. This year has has cost the sox some runs not being able to turn 2. -

QUOTE(AirScott @ May 19, 2007 -> 06:38 PM) But the team is staying afloat, five games out at 20-19 without an everyday player hitting at or above .260. Konerko and Crede have had years that will make you think they may not rise those averages above .240 or .250, but what about everyone else? Dye hit .315 last year and proved he is an MVP-caliber player when healthy. He's had those really bad years too, but when healthy? Iguchi hit .278 as a rookie and followed it up hitting .281. A.J. has normally, throughout his career, been in the .300 range. So what are the odds that all these guys don't turn it around? Iguchi and Dye have been terrible defensively. Them two alone have cost us big both defensively and offensively. Then you have the dynamic duo behind the plate that can't throw anyone out (some fault going to he pitchers.) We have no arms in the outfield. Any hit will score a run from second. Then you have the bullpen full of bozos that can't pitch in the late innings with a lead. -
Masset vs Hothead = Sweep. The worse offense in baseball isn't the only problem on this team.

QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ May 19, 2007 -> 05:32 PM) well, it feels like the world series. this is the cubs. this is the reason interleague was set up. rivalry. we just got embarrassed in two straight against our rivals from the north. go ahead, tell me our biggest rival is the twins, or the indians, or the tigers. but no matter what, this is a huge series. I don't give a s*** who our rivals are. As long as were winning games is all I care about. This team blows. -

Theres nothing better than going down 3-1 with the bases loaded coming out of the bullpen. Like I said before our bullpen blows besides Jenks and we need an OF that can actually move out there instead of watching guys get extra base hits. -
I hate to have to do this....

QUOTE(fathom @ May 19, 2007 -> 12:49 PM) My biggest concern with KW as a GM if we're going into rebuilding mode is that he has a bad history of trading veteran players for prospects. That is true, but after seeing how the market has been lately he has done a 180. -

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 19, 2007 -> 12:29 PM) This start time f***ing blows I strongly agree. QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 19, 2007 -> 10:36 AM) Mark DeRosa, Derek Lee and Aramis Ramirez have demolished Javy in their careers. At least the sox demolished Marquis last year. -
KW needs to get an OF for now and the future ASAP. Going into next year our outfield is .... nobody. That is if you count good options.
