QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Oct 1, 2010 -> 12:10 PM) I'm amazed at the reviews The Social Network is getting. Guess I'll have to check it out. Saw it tonight. Really liked it. Justin Timberlake is so damn talented. He was very good, IMO, in the movie in addition to all his other talents. The guy who played Zuckerberg perfectly captured that genius social awkwardness. I recommend it to anyone.

Konerko to address free agency before TH game
Paulie also grew up in Rhode Island, though for how long since he went to high school in Arizona. So he could view Boston as a home coming. Perhaps he still has family there. Whitepage searching Konerko's in Rhode Island versus Arizona, I am pretty sure I stumbled upon the address of Konerko's Arizona home. However, I won't post for obvious reasons.

2010 Fall TV Thread
QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 28, 2010 -> 03:35 PM) The whole Barney "thinking" he was black was not very creative at all. Awful episode. I used to look forward to HIMYM every week now it's becoming The Office to me where they have extended to many seasons and lost all creativity. Like god for Dexter, It's Always Sunny and the League although It's Always Sunny has been disappointing thus far.

Getting Pumped for 2011!
QUOTE (sin city sox fan @ Sep 28, 2010 -> 11:23 PM) I disagree.....this team wins 110+ games next year the way its playing now. There's no way the Twins come even close to that number. Should've sensed the sarcasm in the first one...lol

Getting Pumped for 2011!
Yeah one problem. The Twins are still better than us by 5+ games. And they have money to spend. This team without upgrading (and I mean keeping Paulie/getting Jake) still tops out at 90 wins, IMO. I have a feeling the Twins could have a huge run of division titles in the near future.

Apparently, The Social Network is getting all kind of rave reviews like Oscar-winning raves. Looking forward to this one.

QUOTE (lostfan @ Sep 27, 2010 -> 07:03 PM) People are upset that the coaches chose tonight of all nights to do it... but how much of a big deal is it really? Harris has been getting abused like a trailer trash whore for a while now and his "production" is easily replaced, and Toeaina has looked pretty damn decent. That is such a horrible thing to say, but somehow I laughed...

AAP: Michael Blanke, C
Definitely seems like a great draft pick. Always nice to see great offense with a guy so good defensively. Let's hope he doesn't become next in line of White Sox catching prospects who bust: Mark Johnson, Francisco Hernandez, Tyler Flowers this year. Anyone else?

Kenny Set Ozzie Up?
QUOTE (Marty34 @ Sep 24, 2010 -> 06:08 AM) Per Cowley: If Cowley was right -- which I doubt -- I am pretty Guillen would have let slip that KW agreed with him or something like that.

Hopefully Ozzie joins him.

Keeping Kenny or Keeping Ozzie
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Sep 16, 2010 -> 03:00 AM) Also, you know what? The Mark Teahen trade was not terrible. We traded a piece of crap third baseman who is worse defensively than Teahen, gives no hustle, and can't hit a fastball along with a second baseman with the power of Juan Pierre, no average, average at best defense, and has more magical injuries than anyone in the world. Also, over a full season Teahen had never been this bad defensively. What was bad was the extension, thats it. Teahen is underrated by so many people it's ridiculous. So what that our hot streak coincided with his injury, it was pure coincidence. The Sox have just misused Teahen this year. He should be playing 3-4 times a week in a super utility role playing 3rd (in a pinch), 2nd, 1st, LF and RF giving average D in most of the positions and solid offense of a bench player. It's just Ozzie and Kenny thought he was a starter at third (his worst defensive position), which I don't get. Didn't they watch tape or look at his fielding metrics to know how poor he plays over there? I am still a Teahen fan, and he still can have value as a utility player. If only he was paid like one. Swisher is an overrated hitter and bad fielder. He has had like one really good here in his career and it's come hitting in baseball's best lineup in a ballpark designed for him. Clayton is a backend AL starter and nothing special.
