Nathan Vasher for DPOY
QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Dec 7, 2005 -> 12:12 PM) Is Mercedes Lewis the next Tony Gonzalez or Ricky Dudley? His numbers are truly impressing. Sounds like he'll be a top 15 pick with his size and speed I think he's got the offensive skills to be like Gonzo, but he is not as athletic and as good a blocker. He can be very good, but Tony Gonzalez is a HOF caliber player. You never know, Lewis might be, but it is too say that. He should be a perrenial pro-bowler if he plays to his potential--how many guys do we say that about? There are three top tier TE's this draft, which is good for the Bears.

Royals acquire Mark Redman
Redman has always been a serviceable pitcher, it's a pretty solid move for KC.

Way to go Sox Fans!
We will be moving up after next year as well.

REMINDER
so far so good, it's great to hear the Hawk again.
-
Dodger finally find a manager
great for Grady, I still don't know why people blame him for the Red Sox in 2003.
-
Under the radar
Howard has 24 errors and I don' t think he will last to the last pick in the Rule 5 draft.
-
KW on the Score
Cubs are trying there best to beat out the Sox, and they can't and I love it.

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Dec 6, 2005 -> 06:16 PM) Problem is Jimmy will go top 5-10. I would look for the Bears to go TE in the 1st, Vernon Davis maybe? I would go, Marcedes Lewis, Davis and Leonard Pope, in that order. I doubt Lewis is available, but Davis might be. What can't you love about a 6-3 TE that has 4.4 speed?

Teacher charged with possessing child porn
http://www.suntimes.com/output/news/porn06.html Pretty sad, and scarier than all he was my 7th grade History teacher. Part of me feels really bad, then there is the part that thinks he is an idiot.

Bulls @ majik.
Kirk should be out, but I wish Skiles would let BG start and just see what he can do. Against the Magic, you can sacrifice a little D for his O.

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Dec 6, 2005 -> 04:16 PM) Watching Howard Stern's Show >>>> Listening to Howard Stern's Show second that. But I listen to sports talk and 97.1. Silvy and Carmen are my favorite show.

Levine on this morning AM 1000
QUOTE(fathom @ Dec 6, 2005 -> 03:41 PM) A trade with two of the biggest dickheads in sports. What an absolutely terrible trade the Giants made with the Cubs to get Hawkins. David Aardsma and Jerome Williams all will have good long careers in the majors. Hendry got away with highway robbery.

QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Dec 6, 2005 -> 03:34 PM) Nope. What did he say? After the Cincy game, Chad said Vasher was real good, he also said "I love you number 31 and I have whole new respect for Mr. Vasher." Chad gave him real nice praises.

I think the rush of posting has stopped.

Angels & Sox looking at Crawford
QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Dec 5, 2005 -> 08:53 PM) My thought is its really unrealistic to expect to develop all 3 of them. If you could develop one of them (C. Young preferably) and find Crawford you now have two guys that will be young and hopefully talented for a long time. Than you see what happens with Dye. If Sweeney turns into that guy, than bam. I couldn't see Owens, Young and Crawford working simply because defensively it makes no sense, you'd have no RFers. If you have Young and Crawford and somehow Owens fits in there. That's a amazing rangy outfield, with 40+ sb potential all the way through. That is exciting.

Anybody watching the Eagles getting handed it? Wow, Seattle looking solid.

Angels & Sox looking at Crawford
QUOTE(fathom @ Dec 5, 2005 -> 08:49 PM) Crawford is so much more of an offensive threat than Rowand, and he's improving each season. Agreed, and Rowand most likely peaked in 2004, while Crawford has the potential to be a 30 homer guy and 60 sb's, he's got potential through the roof and you can see it developing every year.

Should Jamar Smith start over Rich McBride?
McBride just hasn't show me that much offesively, but he is good defensively. Smith has been huge offensively, but is a Freshman and lack experience and isn;t too great on D. So what is it?

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Dec 5, 2005 -> 08:41 PM) Who the hell are you??? It's just a high-school radio show, but have had Rick, Bruce, Chris De Luca, Mark Gonzales, i guess it's how we try to be professional.

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Dec 5, 2005 -> 08:38 PM) This is the same Levine that keeps saying the Sox aren't interested in Pierre. I'm not saying the Sox will get him, but there is interest. Well, a week from Thursday, Rick Hahn will be on my radio show and I will ask him about the payroll and what they want to keep it near. He has always been as honest and straight-forward with my cohosts and I.

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Dec 5, 2005 -> 08:34 PM) I just dont understand how anyone of the board can make payroll perdictions. I havent heard a thing about where JR wants to set the bar at. I am just going off of what Bruce Levine and Mark Gonzales have said, which is around $85 million.

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Dec 5, 2005 -> 08:31 PM) What if things got really crazy and we do a 3 team deal with the Cubs? Sorry, im just a little giddy with the Carl talk... The Winter Meetings get almost everyone a little giddy, it's almost as exciting as Opening Day.

Angels & Sox looking at Crawford
But if we got Crawford, Kenny would need to get rid of some payroll, maybe in the deal with Tampa. Marte? El-Duque?

QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Dec 5, 2005 -> 08:26 PM) I'd give up all 3 and cream my pants if it actually happened. I second that creamation.
