  1. Noch is so amazing on the boards, I love his energy
  2. Pujouls as well, good health history and only getting better. Also,
  3. Personally, I think he will go to the Orioles because his best friend is Melvin Mora, which no one is talking about, so I don't think the Cubs are a lock. Also, the Orioles need to take more risks when in a division with Yanks and Red Sox. So, my vote goes to Baltimore. How bout everyone else?
  4. I bet Willie Harris and a couple prospects would do it. We can't get rid of Marte, he is are lone lefty through Middle relief, if we trade Cotts get moved to lefty set-up, not good.
  5. Fabio doing well in the Winter Leagues http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...s_cws&fext=.jsp
  6. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=1960918 So I guess this is better than I thought, one year deal was good, but now that we control A.J. for an extra year that makes it even better.
  7. I like Iguchi, but would rather the money (unless they still have enough for both) to go to A.J. The upgrade of A.J. over Davis >>> Iguchi over Harris. The Sox don't seem to far off with A.J. if only he wants $3 million, but who knows. Let's hope for both

  9. I would pick two: the Statue episode with Rava and Kramer as the cop and also the Chaperone with the best lines in Seinfeld: KRAMER: So, what's your talent? KAREN: Magic. KRAMER: Mmm. I'm thinking of a number from one to ten. KAREN: Six. KRAMER: No, five. But you were close. Just the way Kramer says no five, but you were close" is hysterical
  10. B-Mac had his first really good year this year as opposed to Haren or Meyer who have had really good years more than once. But, I still think if Brandon can add a little more to his fastball, he could be unstopable.
  11. If I were you I would keep: QB Carson Palmer RB LaDanian Tomlinson RB Tatum Bell WR Torry Holt WR Jerry Porter (only change, Ari has many WR options, and I think Porter will go somewhere to be the #1 option this off-season) TE Jeremy Shockey Basically agree with everything you say except for Boldin. Good Luck
  12. probably he didn't want to sign or we lowballed him
  13. Alomar justs wants to hang around long enough to get 3,000 hits because that will cement his spot in the Hall even though his numbers right now are hall worthy.
  14. I was looking up Mark Johnson's numbers and saw the draft that year by the Sox as they took Johnson in the first round and stumbled upon Eric Gagne and that the Sox drafted him in the 30th round of the 1994 draft, 4 rounds ahead of Chad Bradford. I just thought that was really interesting. http://www.sports-wired.com/teams/stats.as...me=H&Y=1994&N=D
  15. A.J. is a premier hitting catcher, if the Sox get I think we become favorites for the division. The line-up goes from 3 easy outs to 2 easy outs, with Willie and Crede primed for better seasons. This really makes our line up deep. Although favorites for the division isn't always a great thing.
  16. Plaxico is also a free agent, he would be ideal, a big tall possession WR.
  17. It's worth giving Willie Harris the job and let him develope than to trade away talent and take on Polanco's salary.
  18. I stole this off the WSI and was curious about the opinion's on Soxtalk. I would have to say Marie's Pizza on Lawrence, it has the best thin crust pizza in Chicago. Also, I love Barnaby's pizza in Northbrook, it's very good. Where are your guys favorite pizza spot?
  19. IMO, the rankings go: Twins- led the league in ERA, Santana and Radke-best 1-2 and great pen Yankees- solid pen w/ Rivera and a deep rotation Red Sox- good pen, good starters but inconsistent ones except for Wells and Schill White Sox- best pen in the AL, solid rotation, but inconsistent starters Then: OAK, ANA, CLEV, TOR, BAL, DET, SEA, TAM, TEX and KC
  20. If we sign him, Shingo will actually be able to talk with someone and then we can hear Ozzie make a funny joke about learnig Japanese
  21. I know we offered him 2-year $4 million from an earlier article, so i think he will choose us, the Red Sox offer no playing time for him, but the white sox offer a lot of playing time
  22. I would rather D. Lowe go to LA than Detroit, we really wouldn't sign him any way with our lowballing offers and Boras, so rather he ends up in Southern California.
  23. It's Ok, I always read rotoworld.com, I swear I check it 5x a day at least, they rarely make mistakes and are always on top of things.
  24. from http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/mlb/news/mlb...s_mlb&fext=.jsp
  25. The big part of that trade for the A's was Dan Meyer, who was the Braves top pitching prospect after Cappellan and they got Charles Thomas who is going to start for them. Don't get me wrong, they think Cruz is good, but he wasn't the main guy in the trade.
