  1. Mother Nature, you're a cruel b****.
  2. Anyone else running the Shamrock Shuffle on Sunday?
  3. DVR'd it; very much looking forward to sitting down to check this out, as Reggie will always be my favorite basketball player.

  5. Half of my top-right front tooth is fake, dating back to when I was about eight years-old or so. I was playing my first level of little league, where we actually had pitchers. I hit a HR, and I came in after rounding the bases and kissed the bat in celebration. The bat was aluminum, and my tooth shattered in half. The tooth actually died out a few years back, and I ended up having at a root canal on it at about 20 years-old.
  6. Thanks for all the feedback, guys. These are the real reviews I was looking for. I've waited this long; I'm going to have to explore what else is available before I finally rid myself of my rotary dial cell phone.

    Palm Pre

I'm with Verizon and have been able to upgrade a couple of times, but have had the same phone for about five years now. I'm thinking it's finally time to take advantage of the upgrade that is included with my plan. My biggest want in whatever phone I end up getting is the glory that is a qwerty keyboard. I do a decent amount of texting, and I'm horrible at using the WORD feature, so I'm always typing out texts letter-by-letter on the number pad. Now that the Palm Pre is available on Verizon, I've been leaning that way. I was wondering if any of you Soxtalkers have any experience or thoughts on the Palm Pre from Sprint or Verizon.
  8. http://sports.espn.go.com/chicago/mlb/news/story?id=4907072 Reading the update on ESPN.com, there's speculation that #35 will officially be put on the outfield wall on August 2nd---which would mark the 20 year anniversary of his White Sox/MLB debut.
  9. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 11, 2010 -> 08:20 PM) Was waiting for you to chime in. Started crying yet? I've cried myself to sleep every night since he left the Sox, on December 7, 2005.
  10. Forever my favorite player. Congratulations on a fantastic career, Frank.
  11. 2010's going to be a big running year for me. Last year was my entrance to the racing 'circuit', as I did a variety of 5 and 10Ks, in addition to a couple of odd distances (15Ks). I'm going to do the Shamrock Shuffle 8K in March to kick off my year. I'm also signed up for four Pikermis (Google it) this year: IU Mini-Marathon (4/3), Indy Mini-Marathon (5/8), Chicago RNR Half (8/1), and Fort4Fitness (9/25). I imagine I'll add some local 5 and 10Ks to the schedule throughout the summer. My ultimate goal for this year is to run the Chicago Marathon (10/10) this fall, to complete my first ever 26.2. I still feel like a big novice to the sport, so I don't really have any definite goals, except for to improve on what I did last year. My PR in a 5K was 20:22, so I would love to eclipse 20 minutes this year. My PR in the 10K is 45:30 and the 15K is 1:07:33; I would like to shave minutes off of those as well.
  12. Weak one: Dr. Cox of Scrubs Better one: Snape of Harry Potter
  13. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 7, 2010 -> 09:33 PM) Nice to see a Hoosier pull it off. Super Bowl Champion Saints. Bittersweet that my favorite player while I was at school catches the dagger. Congrats NOLA.
  14. QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 7, 2010 -> 03:20 PM) Indiana fans, what's up with Matt Roth? Broke his foot in a practice in November, which resulted in surgery. He's reportedly ahead of schedule and has started to dress and participate in shoot-around. A decision is supposed to come soon, to decide if he'll be red-shirted for the season or come back for the remainder of the Big Ten season and BTT. At this point, I believe it makes much more sense to red-shirt him, and call it a night on him coming/rushing back to play this season.
