We had one of those delays today too....we got 4 inches over night, and there's been a consistent light snow all day.

For the Perez deal....I've seen a lot of things saying it's really close to being done. LA doesn't have many other choices.

I heard something about that from a friend. Colon must be pretty upset he didn't bite at these first offers now. It's kind of nice that we Colon could be back and for cheaper than we expected. I also heard around the same time the Angels actually did make another bid at Colon. I really think Colon could be back though. This is good news, if you ask me.

I won't mind at all. We know it'll only last for half a season at most, but it's not like our offense is incapable of hitting the ball. We know we still have the pop, and Ozzie will try to bring some small ball into the clubhouse.

That's what I really want. I think if we can have some kind of a rotation Buerhle, Colon/Milwood, Loaiza, Garland, Perez......I'd be a pretty happy camper.

I totally agree. KW has done a very good job in the GM chair. We know KW does deals etc. in a different manner. We really had no idea that we were getting Colon last year. KW definitely has something up his sleeve. We'll just have to wait and see what it is.

Isn't the Twins' owner a billionare? We thought we had it bad w/ JR. Their owner could buy Steinbrenner and then some, yet he ends up only spending 1/100000000 of his money on the Twins. But hey, this definitely helps the Chisox chances.

I wouldn't mind having Everett back; however, I would like to see us bolster our pitching staff and pen first. I really like what I'm hearing there.

I like Mags, and I wish we could keep him. Though I know we don't have the money, but if that's even close to what we're looking to do this offseason. I'll be quite okay with that. I like that KW is bolstering the pitching on this club. KW has done a pretty good job in the GM chair with the little he has to work with.

Perez has had some very good seasons. Last year wasn't his greatest, but it still wasn't bad if you look at his WHIP and K's to BB's ratio......I really don't think Ritchie ever had anything positive going for him.

LOL there's the California in you (hella). I hate how the Yanks just jobbed the Expos for Vasquez, but it does seem like it works in our favor. If we can just get a staff, I think we'll be fine. It really seems Ozzie will make our offensive attack more balanced. We know we'll still have the pop in the lineup, but it'll be nice to see that we can play small ball at the same time.
