"OH NO!" "He Dropped the ball!" "NOOOO!" Plays everytime someone signoffs from AIM for me.

Cleveland lost the WC by 1/2 game back in 2000. If they would've won, we would've played the Yanks, with Cleveland playing Oakland in the first round. How awesome would an Indians vs. Sox ALCS have been?
-
.....Except for the fact that these rumors were all published in newspapers (except for the Johnson trade.) I didn't come up with these ideas off of the top of my head like the way you did of bringing back Koch. :headshake
-
Boy, the Mets are considering bringing back Valentine? I also saw Jerry Manuel's name in that article too. I don't want to see Baylor get the job because it would end the streak of fired Cub managers that never managed a big league team again. Think about it.
-
Buehrle's final road stats: 7-3, 2.55 ERA, 1.07 WHIP, 3 CG.
-
Borchard K's. Has he gone one game without striking out once (minimum 4 ab's?)
-
Burke looks like death Why did Konerko get thrown out at third? Was he trying to tag?
-
5, and they lost each time. :headshake

I hear he's into blowing leads and tossing more gas onto the fire.

I was thinking the other day about all of those trade rumors that were going around. What if we did trade Maggs for Williamson and Nomar? And then we traded Nomar for Perez, Mota, and a prospect? And then we trade Jose to Seattle for Garcia? Where would we be at if we had a 5 man rotation of: Buehrle Loaiza Garcia Perez Garland? Remember what Arizona's demands for RJohnson were? A CF, 3B, and a catcher. What if we gave them Crede, Reed, Olivo, and a couple more prospects for Johnson and Shea Hillebrand? Oh well....

Can't blame Mike Jackson for September I guess.
-
I'm sick of seeing us run into outs. f*** OZZIEBALL!
-
No, I agree with you that it is better for Minnesota to trade him and get something for him. I was just thinking of the only reason why Minnesota might non-tender him.
-
Maybe because the Twins already have 40 minor leaguers who are ready to play at the major league level. I wonder if the Twins still plan on non-tendering Johan Santana as rumored this off-season.
-
....and naturally a double play ends the inning. WHITE SOX BASEBALL :headshake

Bet one buddy that the Cubs wouldn't finish .500. Lost $5 Bet another buddy that the Cubs wouldn't finish .500. Lost $20 Bet the same buddy that the Sox would finish at least .500. $20 to win or lose still I need the Sox to finish at least .500 if I don't want to lose $40 to my old roomie.
-
I thought he's more likely to be non-tendered.

You're forgetting that it's all about the: $$$ Can we afford to pay our #5 starter 3-4 million and sign a quality FA to be our #3?
-
Sorry, I forgot to add you. What were you an Qwerty arguing over again?
-
AMEN!!! You, Qwerty, and I seem to be the only ones whom are arguing that if his numbers are not changing, they are getting worse. Some of these guys keep arguing "Well, Jon is young." Folks, he is pitching in his 4th complete season in the #3 spot that has been given to him for the past three years. He has not earned that spot, and I don't think it is wise for us to pay him 3-4 million in the #5 spot.
-
Good to see that he's not playing just for the money. I don't have a problem with Carl being here becuase he is a better option for RF when Maggs leaves. BORCHARD IS HORRIBLE!

Jose Guillen has RIPPED apart the AL Central this year. I remember Fox Sports Net showing the biggest AL Central killers. He was batting close to .380.
-
Boston: Lowe is having a bad year, but he was pitching pretty well for some after the all-star break. He is also a groundball pitcher like Garland, but his GO/AO is closer to 3 while Judy's is around 1.25. Florida: Beckett has been hurt, Dontrelle's splits on the road and home don't vary with the exception of the gopher ball. Wasn't Brad Penny the Marlins #3 coming into this year anyways? Houston: Clemens was brought into the rotation as the #3 starter before this season. Do I even need to post his Cy Young numbers to Garland's? I didn't think so either. St. Louis: Regardless of the offense, Chris Carpenter is having one hell of a season. 3.46 ERA, K/BB ratio of 4.00, and a WHIP of 1.14. San Diego: You couldn't possibly be more wrong about Wells. Wells' road stats: W L ERA G GS CG SHO IP H R ER HR HBP BB SO WHIP 9 1 3.07 13 13 0 0 82.0 81 30 28 13 1 7 43 1.07 See that? SEVEN walks for the entire year. Judy Garland had 7 walks in his first start of the season @NYY. Take a look at the stats before you come out talking about how great Garland is compared to other #3's in the league.

Kevin Brown won 21 games in his fourth full year with a team that went 77-85. He had 27.3% of their wins in 1992, does anyone actually think Garland will ever accomplish something like that?
