    Films

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Feb 26, 2006 -> 05:24 PM) First of all I'm not a fan of Bill Murray, why is he funny? Delivering lines with that lifeless slouched body, droopy face and monotone has never been funny to me. It must be me. Guess what? That's exactly how he plays serious roles too. I finally saw 'Broken Flowers', good film except it felt incomplete. Anyone else seen it?? Saw it, I think I've ranted on how s***ty is like five times. He just mopes around, it's not funny.
  2. QUOTE(Spiff @ Feb 13, 2006 -> 12:58 PM) I think Grahame is starting for the US, but I'm not sure. Anyway I'm predicting (and rooting for) a Sweden gold. I like Lundqvist in net and picking Canada to win is boring. Also, hoping Miikka and the Fins can give the Canadians some trouble. Gold: Sweden Silver: Canada Bronze: Czech Republic 2 out of 3, f*** yeah sweden
  3. you people and your talented favorite players :rolly what ever happened to rooting for the underdog?
  4. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Feb 23, 2006 -> 01:22 AM) Kaman and Hinrich = two of my most favorite players in the NBA along with King James, Wade, Shaq (simply cause he's hillarious) and Ginobli. Mihm, Kaman, Juan Dixon, Lee Nailon, Sasha Pavlovic, Tony Delk. That's my six.
  5. 1) I've been a huge K-man fan for years. Now he is balding and it's only getting better. 2) The Bucks have TJ Ford, if they had drafted Paul they'd be stuck. Paul/Ford, Redd, Simmons, Magloire, Gadzuric??
  6. what a disgrace of a hockey team, im glad finland is owning them.
  7. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Feb 22, 2006 -> 02:08 AM) So i've declared today some sort of holiday...i just don't know what to name it. It involves skipping all my morning classes and watching all 4 quarterfinal games on 2 tvs. I've opened up the apartment to anyone that wants to watch games today. Should be sweet. I like the way you think. I'd totally hang out and drink beers if I didn't live like 13 hours away. As it is I get to watch about 2 games before my gay class that I probably should attend.
  8. Forsberg is back I don't think Sweden will try and lose so they play Switzerland instead of Canada, but it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. Canada didn't even play that great against the Czechs, they just got some weak goals early and barely held on.
  9. The problem with Canada isn't speed; they have Heatley, Gagne, St. Louis. Their defensemen played like ass and couldn't pass through Finland's trap. Plus Canada couldn't finish the chances they did get (Thornton's deke/centering pass, Nash's breakaway).
  10. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Feb 17, 2006 -> 12:13 PM) A lot of the time when you have Russian women envolved you're going to be seeing some attractive ladies. way to steal my sig idea
  11. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Feb 17, 2006 -> 02:18 AM) Brian Scalabrine played 34 minutes tonight and had 0 rebounds. Certainly worth that 5 year/15M contract. Scalabrine played LAST night. But picking on him has been done so many times it's beyond cliche. He does play better defense than I thought though.
  12. I don't understand why all of their Maryland stuff is orange. But if you want a real deal look for the international basketball jerseys. Haiti is stylin. B)
  13. I didn't realize Miikka pulled out of the olympics, but Finland got it done against Suisse anyway.

    Rap Sucks

QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Feb 9, 2006 -> 01:07 AM) Haha, no not really. It all starts with RUN DMC in 1983 when the Party Rap Era was starting to fade a bit. You like Sage Francis? He used to come on 89.3 (Northwestern University) on the "Time Travel Show" all the time between 1998 and 2002 with Sole, Dose One, Atoms Family, Slug Of Atmosphere, Aesoprock, etc. The show came on once a week for 3 hours every Thursday night, and I recorded it as often as I could. I have somewhere in the neighborhood of 500 Time Travel tapes buried in my closet, including a lot of those live freestyle sessions with Sage Francis, etc. I also have some Non Prophets (Sage's original crew) records somewhere too. Huge fan of Sage, also bought Atmosphere's newest, and I grew to love it. Whatever you can give I'll take. I think Bridle by Sage is one of the greatest music tracks start to finish. He's a poet set to music.

    Rap Sucks

QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Feb 9, 2006 -> 12:55 AM) Yep, I can't even begin to explain how many times I've had to defend old school and underground hip hop from people who think that rap music is basically what you see on television or hear on the radio. There is nothing that I hate more than commercial rap music. I sense a fan of the Sugarhill Gang /kidding
