  1. Dont get me wrong, I love ARow. He comes across as a great teammate and a guy with a lot of energy. I just wish he had more talent to go with all that. He has been awful at the plate this year. I would like nothing more htan to see this guy succeed, but it just doesn't look like he will ever be a starting OF.
  2. Does ARow still have any supporters? Does anyone think he still has not received a chance to play every day or received a fair shake? I think we have seen enough to see that he is just a 4th OF and not a starter. Does anyone disagree and think we still need to see more of him?
  3. No, not enough speed. Uribe looks good in the number 2 hole. I like: Harris Uribe Thomas Mags Lee Valentin Konerko Crede Olvio
  4. Ok, you are all over the place on this subject.
  5. So what? That is a reason that he should not be able to state an opinion? I can understand not liking his opinion, but saying he shouldn't state it because he has only posted here 8 times? I wouldn't got that far. ANd the need to call him a dickweed? Because you don't think his opinion is correct or you think he is complaining or starting stuff? Ok.
  6. We won 7-3. But I am not sure if you want to count it. We never saw him before, but it was not his major league debut. He pitched 11.1 innings in 2003. Only started one game last year.
  7. WHoever the Yankees had pitching against us earlier this year. I believe we hit both pitchers in the same game that were making their major league debut.
  8. I will never understand this mentality. Why does he need to be here longer or post here much at all to post his opinion on a subject. What gives you the right or anyone with more posts or more seniority the right to say he shouldn't. I don't agree with his evaluation of Diaz, but he should be able to state his opinion regardless. Is there really a need for the insults? I didn't see where he insulted anyone else here. That makes me go hmmmm. Diaz looked ok to me. I am not sure if it is because he got tired or if he became nervous after the Palmiero situation, but he seemed to pitch differently after that. I would like to give him a couple more starts and see what he can do.
  9. He is hitting in the numer 2 spot in the order in the first game today. I hope he does good. I would like to see him hitting there for a while.
  10. No doubt Johnny Bench was the best. However, I think Yogi Berra gets way too much credit. He was not better than Fisk. I still believe Fisk was the best FA signing ever. If not the best, then right behind Randy Johnson.
  11. So 5 guys on just one? Yeah they are pussies no doubt. Glad to see your ok the Cheat. I will tell you what happens and why security will not remove them sometimes. They pay off the security. They will be the cheapest tickets in the park and then around the 3rd inning go down and pay a security person for better seats. They will go up and offer him 10 bucks to find them available seats. When the stadium is more full than usual this happens a lot.
  12. I just picked him up Sunday actually. He should be solid.
  13. Anyone out there still want him back? One out. Expos manager Frank Robinson handed the ball to closer Rocky Biddle on Tuesday night with two outs in the ninth inning, asking the reliever to get one out. Instead, Biddle allowed three hits and two runs without retiring a batter. "He got behind hitters, didn't make good pitches and they hit him," Robinson told MLB.com. "All I was asking was to get one out. That's all he had to do. He didn't get it done." Over his last five appearances, Biddle has pitched four innings and allowed 10 hits and 10 runs while striking out none. Who else did we trade away in the Colon deal? Leifer? Osuna? Anyone else?
  14. Prove to me that Bonds juiced and prove to me that Teddy didn't. I also believe Bonds' home park is not to his or any other hitter's advantage yet he continues to hit homer after homer into the bay.
  15. I don't really care how anyone wants to spin it. 6IP 11H 7ER 2BB is a horrible night for anyone if he is hitting his spots or not. He is overrated because of one good season. If this was a Buehrle or Loaiza performance we would be getting more depressed about them by the second. He is an average pitcher who had a really good year during his contract season. That's all.
  16. I would never consider someone athletic just because they can drive a car at a high rate of speed in a circle.
  17. I have to agree with you on this one. To me it is a no brainer. I know he is not well liked and not a popular player, but damn there is no doubt he is the best LF to ever play the game. Hell he may be the best overall player, let alone LF, to ever play the game.
  18. I don't know, is he improving Buehrle? There is only so much Coop can do.
  19. Better than Shoe? Where do you see that?
  20. I dont remember him being all to good before last season and the 2nd half he wasn't very good with San Fran. Not a complete bum, but not worth what we were going to offer or what he signed for. Simple as that.
  21. Not bad at all, although the Colon decision was made for him. It isn't like we didn't offer him the biggest contract for a pitcher in White Sox history.
  22. Really? You know it wouldn't take him long to get stretched out how? How? I guess your right though. Lets move Cotts into the rotation. Yeah, then we could move Wunsch into the bullpen, until he gets hurt again. Then what do we do? Cotts could be permenantly in the rotation if he does well. What do you do in the bullpen when Wunsch goes down with yet another injury? Looking at his history it shouldn't take all that long before he is on the shelf again.
  23. So you mean you would be happy with 2 pitchers like this in your rotation? Two pitchers you would be counting on that would be disappointments. It is not like we were trading Buehrle for Ponson. We were going to add him to a rotation that was including Buehrle.
  24. 7 GS 40 IP 2 W 49 H 28 ER 17 BB 18 SO 6.25 ERA 1.64 WHIP And in his last 3 he has a 10.43 ERA. WOW! I would be pretty disgusted if the Sox had him at the price he was asking.
  25. Why? I think this has been discussed numerous times both here and on the radio. Cotts' arm is just not stretched out enough to do that. Plus why mess with the pen at this time. He seems to be taking to it quite well. Next year we can have him as a starter. All the White Sox fans that keep suggesting this sound like Cub fans who keep suggesting that Grudz should be moved to SS and Walker kept at 2B. It makes no sense and is almost an impossible thing to do. I just don't understand that move. Why not call up Diaz or Munoz. Guys that are already starting and are used to pitching that amount of innings and pitches already?
