  1. Can anyone tell me why this guy is not being drafted. I see some places have him listed as the starting 2B but others have Hariston This guy would help me a great deal in steals but I don't want to pick him up if he isnt starting. As you can see form my team below it is in need for some speed. Thanks for your help. Here is my team: Starters C Mike Piazza 1B Frank Thomas 2B Mark Loretta 3B Troy Glaus SS Miguel Tejada OF Carlos Lee OF Jim Edmonds OF Shawn Green OF Austin Kearns OF J.D. Drew 1B/3B Derek Lee 2B/SS Orlando Cabrera UTIL Pat Burrell RP Eric Gagne RP John Smoltz RP Mariano Rivera RP Robb Nen RP Billy Koch SP Vicente Padilla SP Kelvim Escobar SP Brian Anderson SP Edwin Jackson Bench 1B Ryan Klesko Bench OF Jermaine Dye Bench RP Matt Herges
  2. They received a draft pick that they used on a 3rd base prospect. He is supposedly pretty good.
  3. Good point on plummer, however I would differ with you on which way to run. I think that depends on how your LT is. The Jags used to run Boselli's way all the time. The Rams run to Pace's side quite a bit. The Ravens run to Ogden's side a lot. It all depends on how good your LT is if you ask me.
  4. Other teams may look at him and make him a low ball offer. He may sign with another team and may recieve an offer, but not as a starter. Are you really saying he is a good LT because of his height and weight? We have 2 tackles as big or bigger than he already on our team. So why sign him? Aaron Gibson is 6'6 390 Qasim Mitchell is 6'6 355 I give you those 2 reasons why we don't need him. Salaam is nothing but a backup OT. That is all!
  5. He was released before the Bailey trade. He wasn't making much money. Griffin and Anderson were hardly successful last season. The only back that stood out in that offense last season was Portis. I also never saw them making an effort to run to the left side behind Salaam. Nor did I ever see the deliberately move Plummer out that way. Again, the offensive line is not based around the tackles for that system to work. Strong O-line yes, no doubt, but not the tackle position for that particular offense. However, the bears do need strong tackles for this system to work.
  6. I agree with you. I would not be disappointed with DB DaAngelo Hall, DT Vince Wilfork, or DT Randy Starks. Any one of these guys can realistically be there when we draft. I like Reggie Williams a lot but I am not sure he fits our offense. I think we may need more speed at the WR position. He should be there as well.
  7. He is a 7 year veteran who was released for a reason and is not getting any serious offers for a reason. I highly doubt he took up much cap space and if that was the case they could have simply restructured his contract as no one else seems to want him either. Not as a starter anyway. The Bears are offering him to be a back up, that is all, nothing more. In some systems, such as the Broncos, tackles are not what the offensive line is based on. I think you saw New England run a successful offence without strong tackles as well. In the Bears offense you need strong tackles. Just like KC and STL.
  8. Most likely because you are spelling his first name wrong. It is Qasim. From what I heard Cleveland was hoping to get him back after he was waived. They were very high on him and now the Bears are very high on him. Regardless, I would still rather see what he could do before giving the job to Salaam becuase I alreday knoww hat Salaam can do. Adequate at best. Quote from Kiper: Kiper Quote Cleveland also waived Tre' Johnson at one point.
  9. Why do fans want this guy? No other team in the league seems to want him. Here is a scouting report on him from last year: Ephraim Salaam Scouting Report Adequate starter? I would rather just keep Mitchell in there and see what he can do. Salaam would be nothing more than a backup to Mitchell in my opinion. If that is all they are trying to do, improve depth, then I am all for it. But to have him as my starting LT then no way!
  10. Why would he not do it now? Wouldn't this be the best time to look at all the talent he possibly can during in real game situations? I mean they are out of any chance at making the playoffs and have been for a while. I am glad he is not sitting on his hands and just watching this BULLs*** develop into future BULLs***. You may as well see what is out there, if anything at this point. The more talent you can see the better off you are in the long run.
  11. I would puke if we signed Salaam. He is nothing better than Qasim Mitchell, so why pay him more to be on our team? Qasim Mitchell also has the potential to be very good. Play him. Agreed, Tait is an awesome pick up. Wilfork will be a stud!
  12. Because I am trying to clarify myself. I wouldn't want any misunderstandings. Like that would ever happen between us Steff... Naive in this instance. Stated a naive comment. Not a naive person in general, as far as I can tell. awesome!!!!!
  13. damn I thought that was called the choda. Isn't that where trey parker got Choda Boy from in Orgazmo?
  14. This is way off topic now. I heard all the facts I needed to for an OPINION on what happened. If forming an opinion on a situation is s***ting on someone then so be it. In this case the opinion I had formed was correct, as it would be in most cases under these circumstances. Where did I say you were a bad person? I actaully stated the contrary. Making a nieve statement does not ever make one a bad person. Giving the benefit of the doubt to someone is never wrong, however can be nieve. I never said you were wrong or a bad person for giving someone the benefit of the doubt. To me, it is my opinion, it was a nieve statement. That is all. It really isn't a big deal. I am sorry to hear about this instance in your life. That must have been an awful experinece. However, that is one experience you ahd out of life. Now you tell me how many experiences have you had the other way? How many times have you read about it or seen it on the news? I believe we take into account all of our experiences, not just one, and rationlize.
  15. Yes, I was in fact calling your statement a naive statement. If you want your statement to be an actual part of yourself then yes you are correct in this particular situation I am calling you naive. I don't know or think you are a naive person in other circumstances. Sorry for the miscommunication, totally my fault. I really think it will make a difference. You are definately doing good by doing that. Every little bit helps.
  16. THis reminds me of an article I read a ways back. 2 women from Texas were gathering tumbleweeds. They started their own website to sell them. They made a ton off the s***! I guess Asians were buying them becuase they have never seen an actual tumbleweed before. They only heard about them in the songs (the tumblin tumbleweeds) and seen them in westerns. They were going like hotcakes! Here is the actual website: tumbleweeds I think I heard someone else was actually trying to sell their dustbunnies. Not sure how true that was.
  17. At first I liked getting Tait and the signing Salaam. I still love the signing of Tait, but after reading a lot of what scout have to say about him I am not too thrilled about that. Here is what one scout said last year: Salaam and Brockermeyer grading equal last year? :puke I would rather see Mitchell at LT if that is the case. Give that guy a chance, supposedly a lot of people like him.
  18. For some reason ARow has always reminded me of Lenny Dykstra. I have no basis for this silly opinion. I guess it is just his attitude and work ethic. He reminds me of Nails in those ways.
  19. I sure hope Howard goes to XM as that is what I use. If he does, I may even buy stock in it as I am sure more people will be purchasing XMs. I know Sirius recently cut a deal with the NFL, but I think most people watch football games and not listen to it on the radio. What do you guys think? Will Howard really go to sattelite radio? Would he creat a rise in the stock of XM or Sirius if he in fact did go to sattelite radio?
  20. No, the people that got into the car with the drunk are just stupid. Not naive. At that point and being 20 or 21 you have to know it would be better off to call a cab. I was in fact referring to people's naive conclusions to a certain situation. I think we have all seen enough of these accidents in our lifetime and can come to certain conclusions about how these situations come about. We tend to use our own life experiences to come to these conclusions. Reading the informaiton given to us you could come up with different cuircumstances that this type of thing could occur. I think it would be naive to think this person in the mustang was not driving well above a certain speed and/or under the influence of drugs/alcohol.
  21. If you are referring to me or anything I say then you can do so if you so please. I don't mind in the least, I won't take offense to it. I can see now that you are in fact a very sweet and understanding person and do not intend to insult. It's ok. I would not know if you are in fact naive. Thinking in certain ways about certain circumstances is considered naive. By myself having a huge positive attitude toward a White Sox team that only has maybe 2 or 3 decent starters may be considered naive. However, that is how I believe. Am I naive? In that situation it is definately possible. I am hoping for the best. Just as you were thinking the best of a person. Nothing is wrong with that. If I indeed insulted you, please don't take it that way. It is nothing personal. It is only an opinion about a certain situation. Please don't tell me what is better off for me to respond to or what to pass on. I think I can make my own judgements on what to do in certain situations. Thank you for looking out for me though, I appreciate it. I think we are way off the topic pf the song and the FCC now. By the way thank you for the site information. I already went there and signed and have sent the link to a bunch of friends and co-workers. Thanks again!
  22. Sometimes, as in this situation, giving certain people the benefit of the doubt seems a little nieve. Using the information that was provided people could have easily chose different circumstances, which we have clearly seen happen. Seeing these certain situations time and time again in my life I have used past experiences to come to a certain conclusion. To come to another conlcusion would have been just as justified as my own, however I still believe extremely nieve. Again, this is just an opinion. Everyone can always come to their own conclusions and expectations of a situation. I am not taking that away from anyone. To each their own.
  23. Me too. I cant stand people that drink and drive. You must really have no respect for your life or anyone else's if you do that.
  24. MSNBC News Update Alcohol Contributed To Deadly Accident On Route 53WMAQ-TV Updated: 3:44 p.m. ET March 12, 20042:42 p.m. CST March 12, 2004 - State police said that alcohol and a high rate of speed both contributed to a deadly crash early Friday morning on Route 53 at Higgins Road. Just as some of us some of us have speculated. Driver of the mustang was a dumb ass. No tire blowouts, just stupidity lead to the car being out of control and the death of two.
