  1. Yeah there was another one before that that I remember seeing him in. The movie sucked, but he was pretty fnny in his small role. It also had Seth Green in it. I think it is called Airborne. THat was the first movie I can ever remember Jack Black in. Another Jack Black movie that I have seen a couple months ago on the dish is funny. It is called Bongwater with Luke Wilson, Andy Dick, Alicia Witt, and Brittany Murphy. I can't wait for his new movies The Anchor and Envy. Both look very funny.
  2. I completely agree. I saw this in the theater months ago, and it was hysterical. The kids are really all actual musicians and you are right they are very talented! I just saw Starsky and Hutch and it too is hysterical. All Star cast: Vince Vaugh, Owen Wilson, Ben Stiller, Juliette Lewis, Will Ferrell, Jason Bateman, Snoop Dog. Awesome movie.
  3. Yeah he is an idiot. He is treating this situation as if he was a FA. He should realize that his agent did not file the proper paperwork so he was not a FA. Until he understands that he will never understand his situation. He is a total jamoke.
  4. That fit their scheme though Israel. For the Bears scheme to work they must have dominating tackles. I don't want Sapp, I think his time has come and gone.
  5. I believe that is why many are non denominational Christians. When you belong to a certain denomination or sect it tends to get very political and things get changed to suit the religion's beliefs. All those things you have mentioned will definately make a person feel spiritual. No doubt about that.
  6. Fan, would you also believe that a person would be considered "spiritual" if that person believed in a higher power, but did not really have an idea or a certain higher power to believe in?
  7. I was just trying to help, but thank you anyway for your insight on this topic. I love to hear all sides as it helps to find out why others believe the way they do. I truly appreciate it.
  8. I don't believe this was ever the question at hand to tell you the truth Steff. Interpretation is not coming into the equation here. What you may be referring to is the translation from Greek into English. In the Bible that I follow the passage John 1.1 reads "and the Word was God." Most Christian denominations base their religion off of the Holy Trinity and this would seem to prove that Jesus is God. If you take the translation from the Jehovah's Witnesses Bible it states "and the word was a god." That is a total different translation and it would mean that Jesus and God are two seperate entities. The Jehovah's Witnesses base their religion off of Jesus being the Arch Angel Michael and the son of God, but not God himself. This passage would prove to them that that is true. It is not the interpretation that is in question, it is the translation.
  9. I think you are correct. To most "religious" means that you are a preaching type of person or of a certain denomination. "Spiritual" I believe most take as believing in a higher power, but just not sure of what they actually believe in or taking bits and pieces of different religions that they follow. It is never good to debate one's faith or what a person chooses to believe in. As I said this was never an argument I had with another person. As you can see I know very little of the subject but I am very willing to learn about it. This is for my own knowledge, not so I can go back and tell someone "Ha ha, your wrong, your Bible is a sucky translation" No, this is for myself, so I know and understand what I am reading correctly. I thank everyone for responding to my post. Your help was much needed and I greatly appreciate everyone's contribution. Thanks again.
  10. You are right, but would you necessarily spend a 1st or 2nd round pick on a guy to be on your roster for the bench? I think yuo usually want to get the highest impact player you can with those picks. Especially the 1st rounder. Lets hope that is what the Bears will do.
  11. I don't think they will. I think they will draft either the Williams WR from Washington or Wilfork from Miami. In the 2nd round maybe go after a DB or WR. They seem content with Tait at RT and Qasim Mitchell at LT. They believe they really have something in Qasim Mitchell.
  12. Has Frank ever hit very well outside of the 3 hole? I always remember him not doing so well in the #4 position when he was put there. This may just be a cause of bad memory as I don't have any statistics to back up my memory of it.
  13. Thank you very much. I am not sure that they claim it was divinely written. I think they claim that thiers is the best translated. Somone in the late 19th century translated it to his liking. I can't remember names or that. You are very intellgent on this subject, how did you become a Buddhist?
  14. Oh that is what I am asking. I am asking which is right. I am not arguing over who is right as I really don't know. I just want to make sure that I am not following false statements or lies. I want to make sure I am following truth. You are helping me a great deal and I thank you. I appreciate it. What religion are you if you don't mind me asking? I can tell you this, Jehovah's Witnesses are basing their religion on Jesus not being God in the flesh. Catholic's and most Christians believe that Jesus was God in the flesh. If you make that statement the word was a god, then it kind of states that Jesus was not God in the flesh, but rather just a god. Now if you read it the other way it clearly would state that Jesus would be God in the flesh. Does "logos" specifically translate to "God" or can it mean "a god" or can it mean either based on the context?
  15. By the way ChiSoxy, I really appreciate your help. I am not questioning your knowledge or anything. I am just seeking knowledge and I want to know what truth is. I am glad you are taking the time to help me.
  16. How can I ever be sure of the correct translations on certain passages then? I mean if their translations are correct then wouldn't that doom me?
  17. Actually, my friend and all Jehovah's Witnesses use a different translation of the Bible. It is their own translation called the New World Testament. There is many changes in their version, that they state are teh real translations, that make it seem Jesus was not God in the flesh.
  18. Are you Christian or Catholic Steve? As a Catholic I was brought up that God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are all one and the same, they create the Holy Trinity or Godhead as you will. Jesus is God in the flesh. The Holy Spirit is God in the spirit form. To me Jesus is not only the son of God, but also God in the flesh. I hope that this makes sense as I confuse my friend all the time on my belief. Also, as you can see in the passage I have taken from their Bible, it does not capitalize the last god. There can be other gods that people worship and Jesus may be seen as a god that people worship. To them there is only God, and they don't believe Jesus was God in the flesh. So it is not saying that there is more than one God, but that there are many gods. Again I hope this makes sense as sometimes I have trouble explaining my beliefs. Thank you for your response though Steve.
  19. If anyone would please be kind enough to help me out I would be greatly appreciated. A friend of mine is a Jehovah's WItness, I was brought up Catholic but am no longer part of any denomination but I am still Christian. I am having problems with a passage. As a Catholic we were taught the Bible passage John 1:1 as "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God", but my friend reads the passage in his translation of the Bible as "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was a god." Which translation is the correct one and why? I know that Jehovah's witnesses have changed many things in the Bible to make it seem as though Jesus was not God in the flesh, however he and they claim that their translation is the correct one. I can not say that he is incorrect because I honestly don't know. I appreciate any help I can get with this subject. Thank you all very much.
  20. Yeah that would be me. They update it at least once a week. Check back sometime this week and it will be updated. Don't worry my friend it is a good site, probably the best draft prediction site I have seen in the last couple years. They are teh closest at predicting that I have seen and I have seen a lot.
  21. I have noticed that as well. WHy is that? He have a good combine day?
  22. You are right. If he is only going to be a RT as is being said then we can draft one of those with our 2nd pick. Maybe not as good as Tait, but it wouldn't be much of a reach. The georgia tech kid would be there as well as Tony Pape, maybe even Pape in the 3rd. Both of them shoudl be solid RTs.
  23. I don't want a linebacker in the first round. We have bigger needs to fill than that. I think we are fine just fine with Odom, Urlacher, and Briggs.
  24. Here is one of the better sites I have ever seen at predicting the draft. www.ourlads.com They usually update it according to player movement around the NFL and such. Very good site and the draft projection is free. I havn't seen them list a scenario where Kenechi Udeze falls to us so we would definately have to move up to get him. I also have not seen a scenario where we go after Shawn Andrews. I think he keeps dropping because everyone is concerned about his weight. I see us getting either Reggie Williams or Vince Wolfork if we stay where we are at. If we move up I believe it would be to get Kenechi Udeze, but I think they are pretty content with Alex Brown and Michael Haynes. I wonder what it would take to get Arizona's #1. Then we could draft Gallery.
  25. The Bears have said they did receive offers for him. Obvioulsy it was nothing as good as a 2nd or 3rd round pick. I never knew the Eagles had Feely on the block, did you? They had an offer they couldn't refuse. I never knew McCareins was on the block, did you? They also received an offer they couldn't refuse. Plus how do you and I even know if a player is on the block? Does this sort of thing have to be announced to everyone? By announcing that you are trading a player and looking for the best offer then that usually hurts your bargaining position, such as with the Niners and Owens.
