I believe an asterisk next to every statistic they produced since they were found to be taking steroids. That should do the trick. That would show that it was tainted by steroid consumption. Caminiti should have an asterisk next to his MVP award and Canseco next to everything he has ever done.

I thought it wasn't good to want to know about player's personal lives or report about them? Who would ever report such things? Not a reputable source of course, because personal lives shouldn't matter to anyone. And I am the antagonistic 2 year old?

I agree , it is not as easy as people make it out to be. Especially for a player of his caliber being told he has to switch positions. A player that is used to being in the middle of the field and always involved in the game now has to play a corner position. It will take a lot of getting used to. Then again, if I was a Yankees fan I wouldn't mind having this "problem."
-
I suppose certain findings about certain players' personal information that are posted by certain posters are always "well documented."

Would everyone please stop talking about personal matters of the players. These things that are going on inside the clubhouse and trainer's room are really none of our business.

I believe Paulie will have a great year. I am not complaining about him. The people that do complain do have a point however. He didn't have just one bad half of a year. He only had one great half of a year. That was the only point I was making. Can't he take some Don Bebe speed classes for cryin' out loud? There has to be a way to improve on your speed.
-
He also only had one great half of a season. He got paid substantially for that one half of a great season as well. I think he can take whatever criticism comes his way.

It is hard to compare them as one is a power pitcher and the other is a control pitcher. For a control pitcher Buehrle has a very high WHIP the last couple years. 1.25 and 1.37. Hopefully he will get that under control. Buehrle is also more durable. In terms of overall production they are pretty much equal, so for Wood to be making 11 million is really ridiculous if you ask me.

He must like that saying. I don't know if he just watched the movie PCU or what. I was listening to afternoon thunder yesterday and Harry asked about his lab puppies. He asked if he named them after old ball players. Paulie said "No, I don't want to be that guy, they are two girls named Maggie and...."

Every other team in our division also has to play against those same teams outside of our division. EACH TEAM! We are not the only team with that obstacle, yet you think those teams have a better chance than us? Ok, well I don't see it. Please tell me how we have less talent, in terms of expectations, going into this year than we did going into last year, also in terms of expectations. Our bullpen actually is better going into this year. Our lineup is basically the same. The starting staff is basically the same. 20 game winner, Buehrle, Garland...., just like last year. I think this is being far from realistic and thinking very pessimistically about your own team while at the same time thinking optimistically about other teams in our division. KC and MINN has as many holes if not more then the White Sox, yet you think they both have a better chance than we at winning our division. That is pessimistic. And I highly doubt that Detroit makes a 28 game jump from last year. Just my opinion. I am by no means telling you to predict 90 to 100 wins. I am in no way telling you how to feel or think. A little optimism would be nice, but obviously not required to be a fan of the White Sox or a White Sox message boards. Then we wonder where we get this "negative attitude" reputation from?

KW said he will make the necessary moves if we are in contention mid way through the season. I believe we will be. If he makes some improvements to this team there is no reason why we can't compete wtih the Yanks and Boston or anyone else in a 5 or 7 game series. The Yanks were scared of us at the end of last year. They were the wicked happy when we didn't make the playoffs last year. We will make moves if we are in contention. We will have a much easier time winning our division than the Yanks, Carmines, Mariners, Angels or A's will have. We will have a much easier time winning our division than the Crummies will winning theirs. Think of how great it will be when the much hyped Crummies don't even make the playoffs and the White Sox are running away with their division. This will be a great year!

I dont think you are looking at the big picture then if you are just looking at our talent and then giving us 75 wins. Look at our division then look at our talent. Then we only have 75 wins? KC has no pitching at all!!!!!!! Detroit will still be awful. Cleveland is improved? I still don't see what all the critics see. Minnesota lost a lot of talent. We have the most complete team in the division. We have the best pitching staff in the division and we have a line up that can compete with anyone else's in the division. That along with the enthusiasm and intesnity Ozzie brings to our team we have as great a chance as any in the past 3 years to win this division. Be prepared to be very pleasantly suprised this year. Bet the over on the 82.5 wins the sox have at vegas. We will take this division.

Every single Cub fan I talked to at work today wanted nothing to do with this nonsense. Most wouldn't even acknowledge it and the ones that did were pissed as hell that it was happeing. They weren't amused by any of it. What I am trying to say is these people were just out there because they thought it was cute or funny or cool or just something to do. In other words morons! Sheep! Followers! It was the most idiotic thing I have ever heard of. If they wanted to give to charity then why didnt they just donate the money they spent on the ball to a charity. BECAUSE THEY WANTED PUBLICITY! And of course the media all thought it was great, dumbasses!

Yes. Hes the one that got wasted at the cubs game with his son then went over to our park and got even more hammered. When he was banned from the park his mother said that it doesn't matter because he is a cubs fan.
-
He will next year. Isn't this the same injury Patterson had in the middle of last season for the Crummies?
-
Ligue was and is a Cub fan.

Wasn't he originally a 2nd baseman? I could be wrong. Didn't Ryne Sandberg come up as a 3rd baseman?

White Sox 2nd baseman of the future? Associated Press TAMPA, Fla. -- Third baseman Aaron Boone was released Thursday by the New York Yankees, nearly six weeks after hurting his knee in a pickup basketball game. The injury, which could sideline him the entire season, set the stage for the Yankees to acquire Alex Rodriguez from Texas last week. Boone, an NL All-Star last season, becomes a free agent. "It's a tough situation we're all in," Yankees general manager Brian Cashman said. "You have to move on. We'd like to continue discussing the possibility of keeping him within the Yankees' fold in some form or fashion that would manifest itself with him maybe being a player for us next year." Boone was hurt Jan. 16 and had surgery last week to repair the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. Adam Katz, Boone's agent, said recovery will take 5-to-9 months. "Aaron is a quick healer, and he's a guy with a tireless work ethic," Katz said. "I'm sure he'll be on the short end of the recovery schedule." The 30-year-old third baseman already had agreed to a $5.75 million, one-year contract, but the Yankees contend Boone violated the guarantee language, which prohibited basketball. New York says he is entitled to just 30 days of termination pay, which comes to $917,553 over the Yankees' 188-day season. "We're exercising our rights in the contract," Cashman said. "Would we want to pay him the full salary despite the injury? That wouldn't make any sense whatsoever from a business perspective." Boone hit the 11th-inning homer off Tim Wakefield that won Game 7 of the AL championship series against Boston. He batted .254 with six homers and 31 RBI last year for the Yankees, who acquired him from Cincinnati on July for left-handers Brandon Claussen and Charlie Manning. Overall, he hit .287 with 24 homers and 96 RBI last year. "He'll get back from this injury," Cashman said. "He'll be down for almost the entire year, if not the whole season. We're looking toward next year, maybe. We don't have anything in place, but I do volunteer that we would be interested."

Pitcher Jon Lieber, who cut short a throwing session Monday after experiencing tightness in his right groin, will be shut down for the next week. Lieber hasn't pitched since Tommy John surgery in 2002, but he stretched and played catch Tuesday and said his groin felt better. "If I miss two or three [mound sessions,] I don't think that will jeopardize me being ready," he told Newsday. "If it takes two weeks, it takes two weeks
