I disagree with you on just about everything you have said in this post except for the stronger testing.

Well when these two guys have been brought up in the past and then come in thinner when testing starts is a little strange. Especially Giambi with his upper body so clearly less built. I think a lot of people will try to put 2 and 2 together. I have noticed that both Sammy and Bonds came in looking pretty much the same. I am sure the names will eventually leak out. Until then everyone will just be guessing. I would also like to know why, if you convert 52 out of 56 save ops two years ago and 55 out of 55 save ops last year, you would want to change anything at all that you did in the past. Unless he was doing something wrong. Obvious that extra weight wasn't doing anything to hurt his performance.

I had a post before in a thread that Aboz said that pitchers have nothing to gain from taking steroids. I brought up Gagne's name because it was reported before that he was on them last year. This is not the first time he has been rumored of being on steroids and it isn't the first time Giambi has been rumored of being on steroids. I don't think anyone here accused them of being on roids. All I asked if anyone thought it was possible. Where are the accusations?

Yeah the whole 2 and a half years he has been here. He couldn't have possibly been on them for the past year and a half.

Have you seen Giambi? He didn't lose the weight in his stomach! He lost it in his chest. He used to be big time barrell chested. He lost a lot of muscle mass there. There is a significant change. How do you explain that?

From reports last year and now this year Gagne was definately on it. It doesn't help to add mass in your legs as a pitcher? You are right it hurts if you bulk up the upper body, but it helps if you bulk up certain muscles in the lower body. The ass, legs, calves, lower back all help a pitcher get more on velocity. Add this to the fact this guy only had to produce for one or two innings at a time and it makes it very reasonable for him to take roids. Roids give you that certain burst or explosion you need. It does not help in the stamina area. Roids make anyone more injury prone, not just pitchers. However, with the propery stretching exercises it isn't as relevant. Pitchers can gain just as much as hitters can.

It has been reported that Gagne lost 25-35 lbs this off season and Giambi, even though he says he lost only 4, has lost about 20 lbs this offseason. Were they one steroids? There have been speculation about both of them in the past about being on them. What do you guys think?

I think Kenny did that because Manuel couldn't/wouldn't and he was tring to fire his team up. Do you really think Ozzie would have trouble doing something like that? I think Ozzie brings a fiery instensity to the game that sleepy Jerry never could.

I think you guys are reading too much into it and making it say what you want it to say. Just because he says we have Loaiza, Buehrle, and those guys does not mean he doesnt know the names of the other pitchers. Give the guy a freakin break.
