  1. Works for me. It's one of those "why not" moves.
  2. QUOTE(thomsonmi @ May 11, 2005 -> 03:35 AM) If I was managing this team we'd be 33-0. Because everytime Shingo gave up a homerun in the 9th this year I wouldn't have put him in the game. And, every time one of our runners gets thrown out on the bases I wouldn't have had them steal. :banghead
  3. QUOTE(doUrememberwhen @ May 11, 2005 -> 02:48 AM) Shut up!! we won a lot of those games despite Ozzies s***ty moves watch the games again see how many were made to be 1 run games BY OZZIE Winning despite Ozzie? Thank god we don't lose often, cause when we do, silly comments like this seem to come out in bunches.
  4. QUOTE(Whitesoxfan56 @ May 10, 2005 -> 02:15 AM) I just wanted to have an 11 game winning streak when i go thursday...o well i guess 18 of 22 will have to be ok We're with ya, but thats no reason to go lashing out at other posters. Debating things are great, but calling somebody a f***ing asshole over nothing is rediculous.
  5. 56, sleep on it. You'll feel better in the morning. Life is not over.
  6. Until the middle of our order starts hitting consistantly, we're gonna have alot of nights like this.
  7. Cut 'em some slack guys. I'm sure its cold in there.
  8. Thanks for playing Jermaine. You were absolutely worthless tonight. Speaking of which, here's AJ.
  9. Honestly, I feel more confident with the bottom of our order coming up than I would with the middle right now.
  10. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ May 9, 2005 -> 09:30 PM) Only one of our everday players has an average above .300 and he's a rookie from Japan named Tadahito Iguchi. These guys are national sports guys, you can't possibly expect them to know the intricacies of the ballclub. Most of the time I'd agree with you. Accept, this was Woody Paige here. That guy lost his mind years ago and I doubt that he knows s*** about the Sox. But yes, it is too much to ask for national guys to know everything about us.
  11. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ May 9, 2005 -> 09:25 PM) I think some of you were waiting for those foul to droul over the team and hand us the pennant. There is a long, long way to go gents. They really all had vaild arguements. Time will tell on this one, we aren't the Yankees of the mid-90s though, I assure you. I agree. I ain't putting us in the world series or anywhere near it yet. I'm just saying that some of these guys should find better arguements.
  12. He also forgot to mention that not only are there only 5 teams over .500 in the AL right now, one of those teams we took 4 out of 5 games from (Twins) and two others would have been over .500 if you take away the games that they have lost to us (Blue Jays and Tigers). If you ask me, the only really bad team that we have faced this year is the Royals. I love when people manipulate the facts to support an argument.
  13. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 9, 2005 -> 09:17 PM) Dickweed brings his 4 games vs. + .500 teams argument. Hey Captain dips*** who the f*** made Tornoto a .500 team That didn't take long. Calishaw was the only buyer.
  14. QUOTE(rangercal @ May 9, 2005 -> 09:06 PM) Someone is going to use the angle that our pitching can't stay this good. The point of this argument that I love is that when they say this, they fail to state that our hitting most likely won't stay this bad.
  15. QUOTE(sox-r-us @ May 9, 2005 -> 09:04 PM) Moronotti must be around Willing to bet that he makes the "weak schedule" arguement again.
  16. Oh Christ. They're gonna be talking about Sox World Series chances on Around the Horn. Why does this kinda talk always scare me?
  17. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ May 8, 2005 -> 03:11 PM) Here's what you do: Put them both in a boat, send it across the ocean, and sink it halfway. Somehow, I think we'd still hear them.
  18. Last year I suggested that we form Mike Jackson's Kiddie Corps... ...surprisingly enough, it wasn't well received.
  19. QUOTE(YASNY @ May 7, 2005 -> 07:49 PM) Who is this guy and what did he do with Shoney? He's looked good, but our swings on him thus far have been very kind to him.
  20. Ha! Shoeny is in. Looks like he still isn't starting. Wonder why?
  21. QUOTE(daa84 @ May 5, 2005 -> 08:28 PM) pena made a terrible decision to pull greinke after only 85 pitches Yes he did. And I'm glad he decided to do it.
