OMG, I get home from midterm turn game on Noc misses free throw but Chandler tips it back and Bulls get it. Duhon at the line with a 2 point lead and 5.2 seconds left. Come on Duhon, 2 for 2 right here and this one is over.

Cool idea Gene. As far as Miller goes, the guy is a stud. Throws absolute GAS.

QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 03:45 PM) Mel Kiper said he has the Bears taking Cedric Benson taken by the Bears with the 4th and that if he has a better workout than R. Brown, then they could flip-flop(either one is good for me). Here's his board as he sees it. 1)Alex Smith 2)Ronnie Brown 3)Aaron Rodgers 4)Cedric Benson 5)don't remember I've kind of agreed with Kip for a while. He's long been the one mentioning Brown/Benson in regards to the Bears and I think he's gonna be right. Regardless with them, Braylon, Williams or Antrelle I will be very happy on draft day I think all of them are definate blue chippers.

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 03:45 PM) Yeah that's what I meant. But as it stands now, I wouldn't burn a 2nd on a K when we don't pick again till the 4th. Nor would I. I'd look at the Bears going RB or LB in the 1st round although you can't count Braylon out. He's gonna be a stud. Then in the 2nd I'd guess they would target Roscoe Parrish or Williamson. Both are speedy WR's but who knows if Williamson will be there. I've seen him projected mid 1st all the way to mid 2nd. His 40 times were some of the best at the combine too, which will help him. Roscoe is essnetially an inch taller version of Santana Moss.

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 03:09 PM) They still could take Alex Smith, tough to tell. As crazy as it sounds if the bears could somehow get a 3rd rounder, I would consider Nungent. If the Bears had a 3rd rounder, I'd take Nugent in the 2nd round, because no way will he be there in RD 3. So if a trade down comes up with a team like Minny and they get an extra 2nd rounder you could bet the Bears nab someone like Benson or Cadillac (one will be there at 7, if not both) or go the lines of Mike Williams who would definately be there. Then Nugent in the 2nd. Nugent is gonna get picked high. I don't know if Grammatica is still out there but I think he's a FA and may not be a bad pickup. I know he got waived last year by the Bucs and was then picked up by the Colts, but he just had some mental issues and is still a hell of a kicker, imo.

Also by the looks of the end of that article, Frank will be here again next year since its his option and then the Sox option to buy out and there is no way Thomas will turn down 10 mill a year. The only way he would was if the Sox led by JR sat down with Thomas and his reps and worked out like a 3 yr 18 mill deal or something and the only way they do that is if Thomas has a good year, which I think he will.

QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 09:12 AM) Naa, he be throwing off the Rubber in a couple of days!! The one guy, that even if my arm was complete garbage, that I could outhrow in the majors. For those who haven't seen Frank throw, I advise you to be prepared to be scared!!!

QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 03:05 PM) Ballgame. Anderson grounds out to 2B to end the game. For those of you just checking in: Borchard with a good game, 2HR Valdez with a good game, 2 singles, SB, and solid glove work. It was great to here Hawk and see the guys in action. Not too happy with the result, but it was a blast. Here's to 20 more in ST! Oh nice, maybe Borchard comes through this year...may be

What was the score and who played good?

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 03:01 PM) Whose gonna wanna trade down with Minny? If the Vikes want to give up there 1st and there 2nd and a 3rd, I'd hope to hell the Bears would move on down

QUOTE(danman31 @ Mar 3, 2005 -> 01:50 PM) Haigwood isn't as underappreciated as you think. If Jason would get the top 25 out, you'll see he made the list. Lol, thats cause we all know I'm a huge Haigwood fan. I think him and Rodriguez stand at simliar points and both would be my sleeper picks as well. Hell, I have so many it would be a new pick every day. Also, I think you'll see Donny Lucy produce.

If Blakely is the guy I'm thinking of, he is a real funny guy. Can't comment on his playing but he was hillarious around the clubhouse.
-
In all reality this will be a 3yr deal with an average of just over 4 mill a year, imo. After that they'll cut him and restructure or just let him go, imo. He only counts just over 2 mill this season though.

Your all lucky bastards, you know that

Fantastic. Has there been any talk about when he'll be able to go in a game? Will he get any spring training action or is he still looking at end of April early May?

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 09:15 AM) Crede will not block Fields from Chicago. As soon as Fields is ready, Crede will be out the door. The Sox know with Crede being a Borass client, they aren't going to be able to resign him if he ever realizes his potential. And if Crede doesn't realize his potential, the Sox won't want him anyway. 100% disagree. Crede will produce this year and Crede has all the ability to be one of the best 3rd baseman in all of baseball. The Sox own his rights for a while and just because Boras is his agent now, doesn't mean Boras will be his agent when FA comes along. It would be 100% stupid to get rid of Crede or force him out when and if he produces becuase then your just bringing in another untested player who is going to have to go through the motions before panning out or failing.

QUOTE(soxman35 @ Mar 6, 2005 -> 04:58 PM) yeah and Ben has to make all of his shots and if he makes a good persentage of his shots they will win Nah, Gordon has to stop turning the ball over and the Bulls in general has to clean up there act. However, Gordon and Curry have to be the two most turnover prone players in the NBA. Its pathetic and sickening. The thing that ticks me off even more is Gordon is a guard and he's supposed to be a solid passer yet I swear he just ignores the defender in the passing lane and throws the easiest fast break steals there way.

Reynoso's one positive is that he has good velocity for a lefty. I figured the radar gun was broken the time I saw him pitch cause he was hitting 95-96 but that was on WS's gun which I am convinced is a few MPH fast. Regardless as Dan says someone must like him. I know BA had some nice things to say about him a while back.

Down the stretch Sean May has been playing brilliant and because of that play I'm quite confident in UNC winning it all assuming they can get Rashard back. May has been a best as of late and is really turning into a guy that I think will be a good player in the pro's. Although he may need to cut some fat and put it into muscle cause he does have a big body. -
Ya right, if the Bulls play well they will win. The key is for them to get there shooting back, but more importantly they got to step it back up defensively.

Warner would of been a hell of a fit for the Bears, but 4 million would of been way too much against the cap this year especially since the Bears have some other needs as well. Ie, getting an OLT or ORT and picking up an outside linebacker. Besides that they could also use one more wide reciever. They'll get a QB, but not at that type of cap number. It was a smart move by Warner though, he gets good money for one year and the Cardinals have some really good weapons (Fiztgerald, Boldin and Bryant Johnson). I think he'll do alright and he's better then any of there other qb's.

Felton gets banged up for UNC. I'm assuming he's gonna be alright.
