Bears Sign Alex Brown to a 5 Year Extension
Chisoxfn replied to Chisoxfn's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
Also the Bears have done some work with Haynes as a DT and I expect you'll continue to see more of it. He has good size for an end so it makes sense. -
Ya, Uribe's great

I saw a news report on him just after the Lakers game. Thats how they pronounced it. Although it could be like Rheal Allen

Casue if your not a guaranteed lottery pick then you take the chance of taking a major slide into the 2nd round where you don't get a guaranteed contract and all of a sudden you are in a serious bind. Cause the top 20 players at the very least are all told they will be lottery picks, so if your in that group you should feel safe about being picked in the 1st round, if your not then your likely to go anywhere from late first round to 2nd and if you got eligibility left why not get your education and improve your status. -

Oh I got that. Just saying its a foolish thing to do, imo. Well depending on the situation. If you were going to fail out of college or something then I'd say go for it. -

Well if you leave early your dumb, imo, unless your going to be a lottery pick. -
Holy cripes this guy may be the #1 pick for years from now. The kid is 14, has a 4.0 and is a freshman at Watts. Oh ya, did I mention he's 6'11. He's supposed to be a heck of an athlete and they are already comparing him to Shaq. Note, I may of spelled his name wrong.

At the same time you risk the teams interested moving in another direction and filling those needs. Then they may not have near the pieces available as they would near the beginning of if it were to happen near the beginning of the offseason. At the same time if the teams don't fill those needs, then they could have more pressure later in the offseason. Still I think nows a good time for the Dbacks to move RJ and if they dick around it could really bite them in the ass. They got to make sure to make a smart deal, but they also have to realize they aren't good enough to compete and that they should be thinking 2-3 years from now.

I figure since some of us have it that it be cool to play some games together at certain points. I know their were MVP leagues and other stuff that worked. Anyway I got Xbox and don't know if anyone else plays Halo2 online but I just started too and its badass. But I figure if people are interested they could all post their online user names for either xbox or ps2 My username is: Bullsback (XBOX)

Well last year they talked about the Angels a whole lot, which surprised the hell out of me. And if the Angels add Beltran and a good starting pitcher, then I think they'll be talked about more. God I miss baseball already -

Awesome victory and the Bulls are welcomed back home with a win. Time to call my dad and rub it in, LOL. Way to go Chicago. This was a real fun game to watch. More reason for me to get a little more joyed that Paxson seems to have a plan and I think its going to work. I wonder if they'll have a draft pick this year or not though.

The reason I see it as big is that maybe, just maybe, ESPN will stop sleeping with the ACC and start talking a bit about the big ten. Too bad the big ten couldn't win the tourney though. Still I think the big ten is really deep, not as deep as the ACC, but its got a good crop of teams. -

Tommy Tubberville may be leaving Auburn for Florida with Bobby Petrino then going to Auburn. This would leave a good shot of Meyer going to ND. And Stanford and UW both are interested in Norm Chow. -

Ya, it kind of sucked. At the same time Iowa wasn't getting a BCS bid anyway. I just want to see them take care of Tennesse or whoever they end up playing in the bowl game The one thing I worry about is what their defense will look next year since they'll be losing a good number of seniors. However, their offense has the makings of being pretty good, especially since they should have a running game, lol. -
Your right, we will have to agree to disagree because on all intents and purposes Zach Randolph is a POS off the court. Can't say I've ever heard the same about Eddy. Also, I don't know if this is right, but If I recall Eddy Curry didn't play basketball much as a kid, so obviously he's a bit more raw then a typical high schooler. But agreed, we will never agree on this, lol. As I type this another freaking huge offensive rebound for Chicago and the Lakers aren't fouling. Holy s***, thats bulls***, Kobe hacked Gordon, imo. 25.9 seconds left with the Bulls up 88-82 Now finish it off and the Lakers have the ball.

Illinois is definately the team to beat until proven otherwise. It will be interesting to see them play a team like UNC though. UNC has a good low post precense and a good back court. I think they could give the Illini some trouble. And of course with so many shooters on a cold night, like any team, they can be beaten, but especially them since they rely so heavily on the outside shot. Fantastic game for them though. They know they can play with anyone. By the way cheat, as someone that roots for the Zags (don't follow them heavily) I just liked their story the first time they went deep (happened to be at one of their tourney games the year they played Uconn late in the tourney...I think Uconn beat them and then won the National Championship) and have been rooting for them ever since cause their fans were just awesome. Anyway, they had a nice win over UW which will help put the Illini game behind them. I think the whole school closed and traveled, lol. -
By the way for the Illini fans, Frank Williams played today and I gotta say, he didn't impress me much. Doesn't look like much of a point guard. But its just his first game and it looked like he was trying hard to distinguish himself.
-
Ya, he was playing Pargo or someone one on one and said he won both times he played him.
-
I think he's a lot like Garland in the sense that people play him off as lazy. All I know is one thing, you don't lose 30 pounds being lazy and Curry did what the Bulls asked him. I think he's misunderstood and obviously young. Its the problem with high school players, your so immature already and getting handed all that cash and fame makes it worse. Usually a change of scenery is what makes it necessary cause most teams lose their patience.
-
Geeze...Chandler with another offensive rebound. My god the two young big men are playing fantastic tonight. Chandler must have 7 offensive boards tonight. Edit 15 boards in 30 minutes of work and 10 points. Missed the 1st free throw and missed the second but Antonio Davis tips in the miss

I love Deng, Hinrich and now am starting to love Gordon. I have a soft spot for Curry cause I love his potential and I like Chandlers attitude, although at the same time I don't see him developing an offensive game.
-
Bahahaaaaa; Kobe said if he could meet any one person it would be Oprah This is the interesting stuff I get watching the Lakers feed. Although he did say he likes the Eagles.
-
You think Pipp would like doing tv or is he more of a front office guy? We know he wants to be involved and I got to credit Pippen. As much as I thought he was overated. He seems to be doing a good job helping out the Bulls, unlike that prick MJ (who singlehandedly f*cked the Bulls).
