    Date ideas

Depends on the girl and if this is a first date or if you've been going out for a while and what not.
  2. One thing about Cotts is, by and large he's the best the Sox have in pressure situations. I can't think of many guys the Sox have had that have been good with runners on base (ie, coming out of the pen with inherited guys aboard).
  3. No No No, I want him on the Southside of Chicago. The guy is a heck of a ballplayer (good offensively, great defensively, good speed) and would be an awesome acquisition. Too bad the Twins will never ever trade him to their rivals. And ya, him and Buehrle are pretty good friends, supposedly. And Steff :headshake
  4. I'm assuming it would be a case of collusion, much like baseball went through back in the late 80's.
  5. You say the problem yourself. By and large, most people don't give a s***, yet the players are getting paid riduclous ass amounts of money, while hockey has a hell of a time pulling in revenue. Salaries are gonna have to drop by 50% before hockey starts back up, imo. And ya, this bulls*** absolutely burries the sport in my book and i was just starting to like hockey.
  6. Bham, Bham, Bham. He only had a few starts there and I think a half season or so would definately benefit him. He had a hell of a season, will pitch a bit in the AFL and then let him start the year off in Bham after getting some experience during spring training. However, if he just puts up insane numbers the first month at Bham, then move him up earlier.
  7. Awesome stuff, they both earned it.
  8. Thats wierd, looked through settings and don't have a clue why it isn't showing up.
  9. Just listen to Van Earl Wright. The players are getting about 66.7% of all revenue in the form of salary. This doesn't even take into account the other costs the franchise have and what not. Plus, hockey doesn't even have a tv contract, well at least not a substantial one. The players better figure this out, otherwise hockey is done. No one can the owners pay these guys ridiculous amounts of money. If they want that kind of money, find ways to increase NHL's marketability and fan base and revenue streams and what not and then the pay scale should go up based on that. I still see a very long hold out. The owners just don't have anywhere to go, most of em are making absolutely nothing.
  10. Well if the White Sox ever go up on ebay, we all need to pitch in and buy em
  11. This was too late, regardless. The Sox should of drilled Torri in the game the incident happened.

    Image test....

Alex, their was no magic involved...my picture is just that good
  13. Welcome aboard. Just want to say, hope you guys kick butt in the playoffs. The Marlins are fun to watch and from what I can tell from the fans that have stopped by here, you got some good fans

Wow, Alex...don't know what to say about this one, but it seems like I complete ya in one way or another...without me who would you make fun of. By the way, just look at that stud in the picture
  15. Get Cruz in their and I'm down. I'm not too inclined to keep Politte, he was just too streaky, imo. As far as Cruz goes, I think he's on the cusp of really making a name for himself. He's got sick stuff and great numbers at a young age. Damn would I love him on the SouthSide.
  16. I'm assuming he was signed to a minor league deal, ala Elo last year.
  17. The big thing I saw in the receiver core was that while some of them got opened and made some plays, they lacked that veteran expereince to come towards Grossman when he scrambles and what not. A guy like Keenan is just what the doctor ordered. Him, DT, Wade, Gage, Jones, Berrian...I like.
  18. But its also a semi good thing, because teams don't have to worry about being stuck with a long contract. Plus players tend to put up awesome numbers during their contract year. I'd say it be a problem if Konerko was the type of guy who looks for the most money and is all about FA, but he never has given off that kind of attitude. However, if the Sox would rather deal Lee, thats fine too, Gload plays a fine left field and you can add a RF via free agency. Both Lee and Konerko have similiar contracts. Just in my opinion I'd rather have Lee, but I think Konerko is the smarter player.
  19. Supposedly Garner played like absolute crap and they got nothing. As far as Train goes, I'm assuming they'd bring Forsey right back.
  20. I think he averages about 125-135 games in his full seasons, but I don't have the exact numbers. As far as his injuries, I think they were mainly knee injuries.
  21. I'd be all over Kim. I'm still shocked no one has gotten him. BoSox would obviously pay almost all his contract and he's still very young with a live arm and proven sucess. I'd take him as a set up man in a heart beat. I'd of dealt Rauch for him a long time ago (back when the Sox had Rauch) and I bet Boston would of done it in a heartbeat too.
  22. Hell, I thought this was one of my more realistic ones. Only trouble is it means the Sox would sign 3 FA's (starting pitcher, JD Drew, setup man) plus make a trade. We know the Sox make trades, but spending about 20 mill in free agency typically isn't their style. Of course the key is for the Braves to want Konerko and to not do good in the playoffs. Hell, has anyone thought about Jaret Wright? He could come a little cheaper and really seems to be understanding how to pitch. Of course its a risk.
  23. He's had his problems, thats for sure, but give him a few days off and he should be alright, imo.
  24. Drays could if they wanted a power bat, something they could definately use, but unless Pinella can convince ownership to add payroll, it ain't happening. Also, I don't see them giving up a guy like Baldelli for Konerko, considering the cash difference as well. However, if the DRays did it, I'd sure as hell pull the trigger. But its a pipe dream, imo.
