  1. I hope he does. He gets better every year and seems it is happening again. His passing was quite good tonight too. Find a way to get Towns. Maybe mark, carter and a protected 1st? I can wish right.
  2. Yeah - this was a super fun game. One shot short but still super entertaining and fun to watch.
  3. At the time they were no facts to back it - just wild conjecture. Now I would say facts seem to back those claims.
  4. Not banned. Presume taking his own personal break from the board.
  5. This is so startling. How can anyone support this. Just goes to show you what these people believe - they must really believe all of this nonsense that the election was stolen.
  6. Defense was rough tonight but still am entertaining game. Lavine and Coby both with nice games. Not enough stops in the end and way too many easy points for Kings.
  7. No there is not evidence that a bunch of cops just colluded with Trump to let these madmen in. None, zilch, zero. Does that mean the officers behaved perfect, was there the right security in place etc? No that isn’t the case but I don’t think the cops said hey I like trump - let’s allow all these bastards in, nor do I think there was some collective decision made by leadership at top of the police department who said - hey let’s let all these people in and be terrorist. Now maybe that did happen Jack - but your statement right now is complete shit and unfounded and is a disgrace to plenty of good cops who risk their lives every day, including i am sure many who were there today in fear of their lives and whose families were watching what happened live on tv who were likely in fear of their loved one who was in uniform today.
  8. Just stop it with your stupid generalization that have no actual basis. All you are doing is stereotyping and pointing blame with no facts. Those officers lives were at risk the same as the individuals inside the capital building. We can blame the preperation, we can blame whether they had enough people etc. But your statements Jack are as baseless as Trumps statements.
  9. Matt Gaetz not backing down.
  10. Is this legit - is pence really doing this? If so - read my quote from earlier today.
  11. Didn't he make a quote telling people to stop what is going on at the capital immediately. It isn't much - but it is better than what most on the right have done (most importantly the president who is just inciting all of this knowing it is going to drive more and more money into his pockets).
  12. Pence has an opportunity to be a hero out of all of this. He can write a tell all book about all the times that he single handedly saved this country including (unless he caves) how he stuck up in the 25th hour. At least if I were him - that is how I would play this out. Walk away as the guy who despised the man, but knew with everything going on, he had to quietly toe the line to ensure the greater good. Whether any of that is true or not - who knows. Personally - I still feel real good about the last republican I voted for (Romney) before I abandoned my party over Trump. Note: No - I did not vote for McCain. Respect the man - but I didn't think he would have been a president (oh how that bar has been lowered now - cause he clearly would have been an all time great next to our current, but almost done president.
  13. If this were a movie - I'd say this is all part of the strategic to put loyal uniformed military personell into the capital as part of a real takeover. Hopefully - this does not play out like a real movie.
  14. Williams surprises me with how smooth his 3 ball is. Nice arch - good release. You are right, there are times where he plays passive, but than there are other times I watch and just see him with this nifty moves that blow past guys, where I go wow, he really is pretty athletic and in-time you could project him as the type of guy who can get a shot off of anyone (presuming his jumper and rest of his game round out - big if obviously). Fact that he is playing solid defense (largely) and able to contribute with no training camp and being so young are all big pluses to me. It also seems like he has a plus plus makeup (hopefully he has that work ethic as well). Like I said - I am not going to come to any major conclusions - but to be honest - my expectations were pretty low when they took a guy who came off the bench at FSU, but I figured if there was ever a time to ignore any of that it would be the year of COVID where it was so hard to judge who made what leaps, etc.
  15. You said this so eloquently and it really is true. This is the first time they are really putting him in a position where he is being asked to do something he isn't yet good at, after the previous regime basically pigeon holed him to the one thing he did very well coming out of college and ignored the fact that he had all of these other projectable attributes which could be "developed" over time. Now I'm not blaming WCJ entirely on coaching - because he is responsible for his own trajectory and injuries certainly impacted his overall development as well, but this feels like the first time where the coaching staff is not just looking at Wendell and what he is today - but looking at Wendell and what he could be and focusing their development plan on unlocking the what he could be - which is going to be critical to the Bulls long term success. Wendell had a play last night against Nurkic - where he was aggressive, had a nice staggered pace to start, through off Nurkic and than exploded past them. It was eye popping to me because it was one of the best moves I've seen WCJ make in 2 years - but it is the type of move he can and should be able to do a lot more of. Obviously Nurkic is not the fastest guy out there, so easier to do against a bigger C than the more athletic guys - but point is, WCJ is pretty athletic for his size and actually has a lot of smoothness to his game - it just looks incredibly rusty and lacking of confidence and I really think that stems from him not really utilizing those skills much, if at all during his 1st 2 years with the Bulls. He might practice them, but as AI would say, we talking about practice.
  16. I see less in Coby than others. That isn't to say he can't get better, he just has a lot of development left in his arch. Defensively - he started his career last year pretty solid, but was a turnstyle early this season and offensively he can be a black hole. He has a lot of bad turnovers and takes out of rhythm shots, etc. His jumper can be really lethal though - but obviously inconsistent. As long as he can continue to hone his jumper, Coby can be a 6th man type of guy (say Lou Williams / Ben Gordon type). But if he's going to be a good player - he'll need to be a better defender or a better playmaker (ideally both). Whether he can do that or not - I have no idea, but this is the year to try and I'll deal with his growing pains. It is similar to Wendell Carter - I need to see more aggression out of him, especially on the offensive side. I will live with him shooting poorly as long as he can get the confidence and swagger to make aggressive basketball moves, because I believe he has the form to develop that shot. He is just way to passive at times. Boylen and the Bulls really wrecked Wendell and I'm glad we have Billy D to try and straighten him out. It is almost like Wendell is still a rookie and in some ways that is true given how many games he missed, but man the Bulls really miss used him (in the sense that you shouldn't pigeon hole a young player that much and basically just tell him to be a defensive stopper who sets screens but can't do anything else with the rock - way too limiting). The journey for the two guys above is going to be really interesting to watch, because one is obviously in there 2nd year, but the other in there 3rd year means not a ton of time before you have to decide on whether they are part of your long term future or not. I won't comment on Lauri, other than to say offensively he has looked much much much better this year - but small sample size and now out as part of COVID protocol. Want to see how they can all gel together - but while I'm not huge on Billy D's pure X's and O's in-game coaching (I think there are at least a handful of guys in the league better) - i do believe Billy D is very very good when it comes to the developmental side of things and just love the way he speaks to his players. I especially think his style works very well with a young team - but I also think he has that rare mix/aura where his style will also work with a more veteran team. I can't say enough how pleased I am to have such a balanced all around coach as Billy D running the day-to-day.
  17. Lavine's defense was really good tonight. Quite a few times where I noticed his on the ball defense as a plus. I'm a big Lavine fan - every year he has gotten better and he can make things (offensively) look so easy at times. To your point - he had a rough night from the field, but still found a lot of ways to contribute.
  18. Yeah - That was a really fun game. The way they grinded it out and battled back from a 20 point early deficit. Solid defense in 2nd half and the ball movement in 2nd half was really good as well. Nice tempo, etc. One of the more entertaining games in a while and quietly Bulls have won 4 of 5 (with the one loss being on the last minute 3). You are right - if they can steal one more win - major success. I'm just glad the games have been entertaining. Williams is pretty slick too. I didn't know what to expect out of him, but he looks like not just a good athlete but a guy with some legit skills.
  19. And I think for many - the grass isn't always greener. Smart to be in an organization with a ton of stability, especially if said organization also pays you well.
  20. Ravens are another example where it has been hard to grab guys from. They have been extremely well run and have a ton of stability - but for a long time, there top people behind Newsome didn't leave. They have been incredible in the sense that they have had sustained success with multiple QB's, including winning a superbowl with a non-elite QB and transforming an offense around a unique QB (who is electric and dynamic - but obviously with limits).
  21. Well there was a run of some GB people getting jobs - but in general - I think part of it is, Packer people tend to stay there. They are a stable organization and there is value in stability. I think those guys truly recognize the benefit of stability and thus are rarely going to be interested in the typical jobs that open up each season. It might be some teams discount the Packers and the inverse is probably true where Packers people tend to not be interested in substandard type of jobs that are going to turn a lot. I think there is huge value in stability and I sometimes wonder how much LT of success of a franchise is tied to one individuals leadership vs. stability and all the positives it brings. The Pats had an insane run - but there drafting has consistently been awful, despite a plethora of draft picks. Coaching wise - they are very very good - no denying that and obviously they had TB 12. It is why I'm not against putting Pace as president (if McCaskey trusts him and thinks he is a good lt president - fine). I have some beef with some of his moves, but if we get another front office guy who is good (I like the Chiefs name thrown around) - than I don't see that as a bad thing, persay. Pace has done bad and he's done good, overall he's been pretty mixed and he has had some bad misses, but he also has shown the aggression that is important to put a team over the top (obviously it didn't work out because Mitch just didn't pan out).
  22. I don’t see Chiefs repeating. Maybe they are just bored but lately they haven’t looked quite as good. I think Bills could do it - that said - despite how they looked - I wouldn’t bet against Mahomes.
  23. This - and they have a good defense. Let’s not ignore fact a week ago the same team shredded a good Titans team. Bears are not in Packers league but that might be because they are the best team in the league (yes I am counting chiefs in this too - I don’t think anyone is playing any better than them).
