I'm assuming this is because Sandy usually catches Buehrle???
-
Sometimes the static pages do that because the site is on a crappy server. I just got Kanny's rosters so we should have a piece up after I get back from the Angels-Dodger game.

I had the same glove for about 8 years. I couldn't tell you which kind it was. But I'm a lefty so I know that much and it had Don Mattingly in the pocket. I remember putting the shaving cream on it, putting it under my bed with the ball in it. By the time I was done that glove was so freaking broken in, it was beautiful. Around high school I had outgrown the glove, so I had to get a new one and it just wasn't the same. It took me forever to wear the glove in like my previous one had been. Everytime we played, everyone used to love my glove cause it was so freaking perfectly molded. I still have both gloves. The one I played most of my baseball with has like a Luis Polonia and Lance Parrish auto now. Speaking of which, your story about baseball is pretty similar to mine. I hurt my arm to go along with it, but I just hated being pressured so much by my dad so I was just lazy and didn't bring my arm all the way back. My arms fine now, but I always have some regret cause I know I would of been a good player (not major league good), but I could of played college ball somewhere. And, I know I love playing baseball. I guess the whole thing was, it wasn't like I was playing for me, it was like I was playing for someone else and well, frankly, I don't like that.

That definately surprised me. I was looking at their starting rotation thinking, where's Deininger and Miller. Those two guys with Tracey and Lamura would of been a very solid 1-4. I'd guess they'll move up pretty quickly.

Damn, that was a hell of a finish. Okie State comes all the way back and then Georgia Tech makes the buzzer beater. Cheat, you better of liked that one

McCarthy spent spring on the Warthogs roster, so he was playing in their exhibition games, but he will start the season in Kanny. I think he'll be one of those guys that will finish the year in Winston Salem. The Sox took things slow with Bmac last year and I think they now know they got a pretty good pitcher in him. He's not mentioned under the same breath as Honel, Cotts and Wing, but if he pitches like he has, he will be by the end of the season.

Trust me, Schnur will be in Kanny. Then I'm thinking in midseason he'll make the jump to Winston Salem if he's hitting the ball. Winston Salem doesn't really have anyone at 3rd base that would get in Schnur's way. I really am intrigued about the whole Andy Gonzalez/Valido situation cause I'd like to see the Sox push Valido a bit and give him a full season in Kanny. I'm assuming I'm going to get info on the other affiliates rosters sometime in the next day to two, so then more questions will be answered. But I should put myself on the record to say I like Gray. He really seems like a guy thats going to flat rake the ball.

Gray was converted to 2nd if I recall. He could probably play 3rd as well, but his arm strength isn't that good. I agree on Tracey. I also like Dwayne Pollock and I'm assuming he'll be a starter. I sure hope Valido plays full season, but I think your right Cerb, he must be playing short season, unless the Sox plan on having Gonzalez play for a short period and then move up to Winston Salem. I do agree that Myers is making a pretty big jump, but he has like a .314 career average from his two seasons of rookie ball.

Warthogs Announce 25 Man Roster By Jason Gage April 3, 2004 FutureSox.com The Winston Salem Warthogs announced their opening day roster on Saturday. The Warthogs will be managed by Ken Dominguez, who is taking over for Razor Shines (New Skipper for Birmingham). They will carry 12 pitchers, 3 catchers (1 on DL), 7 infielders and 4 outfielders. Last season the Warthogs won the Carolina League title behind a one-two punch of Kris Honel and Ryan Wing. This season, the Warthogs looks to have a very strong offensive unit. The big names on the roster are Ryan Sweeney, Brian Anderson, and Ricardo Nanita. All three were selected in last years draft and all have considerable upside. Sweeney and Anderson opened quite a few eyes this spring. Normand Martel will be the fourth outfielder. The infield will be led by holdover Casey Rogowski, while Pedro Lopez (2nd base) and Mike Myers (Shortstop) project as the teams double play combo. Myers and Lopez both have good tools. Troy Cameron, signed this off-season from the Joliet Jackhammers, will probably start at 3rd. The rest of the infielders are on the roster are: Tommy Nicholson, Chris Amador, and Brian Becker. The pitching staff from Winston Salem will be the key to the Warthogs success. The offense looks like it will be capable of putting runs on the board, but the rotation doesn’t consist of any so-called “aces”. B.J. Lamura and Sean Tracey be the front end of the rotation, while Rick Hummel will be the closer. The rest of the pitchers are: Nik Lubisich, Jose Espinal, Rob Purvis, Brad Murray, Dwayne Pollock, Julio Castro, Byeong Hak An, Jason Stumm, and Paulino Reynoso. Wally Rosa and Carlos Lee will handle the catching duties. Rosa spent last season in Winston Salem, while Carlos Lee spent the season in Great Falls. Lee is the brother of White Sox left fielder, Carlos Lee. The Warthogs will carry a 3rd catcher, Ryan Wade, who will open the season on the disabled list. Wade spent the past three seasons as a coach at Hillside Baptist College in Moore, Oklahoma. Check out FutureSox in the coming days for a preview on the Warthogs season.

Should be a solid interview. I wonder if Guillen and Baker will get into any arguments. -

I got my bye week this time, so whoever the Cubs, just aim me whenever they want to play. I'm pretty sure thats my next contest.

Sorry guys, I think I got rookie of the year written all over me
-
OMG...thats got me written all over it. I'll get hit on by a girl and like 10 minutes later and I'm like...wait a second and it finally hits me. But ya, I like it when a girl comes up and does the work...makes it easy for me. Of course it depends on the girl, if they are annoying as all get go, then I'll completely ignore them cause I'm an ass.

Know any good Bulls Message Boards?
Chisoxfn replied to SoxFan1's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
LMAO...I learned a long time ago to never click on Zero's links -
and McCarthy is in Kanny (A Ball).

No clue...we both got the same message and were confused.

My best guess is to call up some of the local high school coaches or even college coaches or the White Sox and ask who they recommend. Then talk to them and see if they fit your style or what your looking for. I used to do baseball camps every summer, lot of fun, but you learned a good deal too. Never did any private type pitching lessons. I basically learned to pitch by throwing a ton of pitches and just having my dad or friends catch me. Of course I don't pitch anymore

I think Brian Miller has as much upside as just about any pitcher in the organization. He has a very good fastball, mixed with a good changeup. He's still developing and needs to work on his delivery, but definately big time upside. Last I know he was still working on developing some secondary pitches, but the Sox have been working with him on that. I'd say this could be his break out year. As far as Phillips goes, last year he came to Arizona out of shape and had to stay their for part of the season until he was in pitcher shape. Hopefully he learned his lesson from last year, because he has the ability to make the majors. He's compared to Buehrle more then any other pitcher I know of and there are some legit reasons for that. He usually has a good ERA, althoug his record has been awful in the minors (thats off the top of my head, so I could be wrong). I think both are at least two years away from the majors, although Phillips is probably a little closer. Miller has by far more upside. Miller is in my top 20, Phillips is in the top 30.
