  1. If you ask me signing Estes to a minor league deal is a good move. First off he's been a productive major league pitcher in his career and at one point was one of the top young pitchers in baseball. He hasn't showed that as of late, but the Sox aren't exactly giving him millions of dollars. Why not see what Coop can do.
  2. I wouldn't have a clue, but I'd guess the Cardinals (Looking to move Renteria and need help at 2nd), Dodgers, Orioles and probably some others.
  3. They don't want Perez around because of clubhouse issues. And the Dodgers reportedly have no budget constrains. Dan Evans has said that he is more then comfortable waiting till Dec. 20th and in fact thats what most GM's typically do (His words). He said a deal may come up before then but he is in no hurry and the team is in a good position to spend some money. His mission for the past two years has been to try and create wiggle room and when Ashby, Jordan and a few others contracts came off the books he did just that. But they are willing to trade both .
  4. Well since they have yet to find an injury, you'd have to suspect that its mechanics.
  5. Supposedly their has been quite a bit interest in Jose. This is a ss who hit 28 hrs and knocked in 74 RBI's or so. You can't find many to put up that kind of production. THe problem is he also strikes out a lot and hits a for a very very low avg.
  6. If Buehrle is winning 20 games then it puts the Sox in a position where they get good value, 9 mill for a 20 game winner is more then fair. If he is struggling then they are out of the contract by paying a mill or can renegotiate the deal. This seems very fair and I just want to say this is huge for all those that say the Sox were always trying to screw Buehrle cause this is as far of a contract as a young player has gotten.
  7. Being reported out here. Seems like a fair deal although I hate backloaded contracts. They put a team in a position where you have to unload the player quite often. Still, this should make Buehrle happy and I am glad to know he'll be on the Southside the next few years.
  8. I dunno...you don't sound ok. Sounds like a mill or two in damage
  9. By the way Mateusz, Zebrahead is pretty damn good. I picked up their new cd a few weeks ago...really good stuff
  10. Was it the other persons fault Donkey? And I hope your and your buddy are doing alright.
  11. Was reading over on WSI and JJAV mentioned that Gammons said those would guys would be the centerpieces but other players would be involved. That would make a bit more sense. If Jose and Billy Koch were both included and the only major contract the Sox took on was Weaver's and they also get Perez or Itzuris in return, then I'd say this deal could have a shot. Could is the key word. Who knows, I'm not gonna guess whose involved and I'm not gonna mention guys I want to get cause everytime I mention a guys name I swear that same day they sign with a team not named the Sox.
  12. I for one will be disgusted if they let him back.

Oh s***...I didn't know people outside of Fullerton actually knew about this guy. I shouldn't really speak though, I've never seen the Titans play a basketball game. I've only watched the baseball games. Although they did go to overtime yesterday in USC.
  14. I always thought there was a discount. That and first dibs on playoff and world series tickets
  15. Whatever hapenned with this. He's not actually back in baseball is he?
  16. If they are dealing Weaver to us, then we better not be giving up anything good in return. The Sox better be giving them absolute crap and the Yanks should still be paying the contract. Now if they moved Thomas and got Perez and Weaver for roughly the same amount as Thomas contract (Meaning the Yanks would have to pick up a whole lot of Weaver's deal)...then and only then would I do that and thats not going to happen. Weaver has one of the worse contracts in the majors.
  17. This would be horrible. The only way this would make any sense is if the Yanks paid basically all of Weaver's contract, otherwise it makes absolutely no sense. I wouldn't in a million years deal Thomas for Jeff Weaver, unless the Sox were really gonna save money and thats not the case unless they plan on spending a lot. As far as trading Frank, the big thing with this contract is he waived his 10/5 rights which means the Sox can deal him at any time.
  18. That Weaver deal is even worse. I don't want to even think about giving up Konerko for Weaver and this is coming from one of Weaver's bigger supporters out there (Which doesn't necessarily say much).
  19. I am not very fascinated with getting an overpaid pitcher and a first baseman with potential for the Sox stud right fielder.
  20. BIg difference, Rhodes has closer experience, great stuff and can pitch to both lefties and rigthies. Wunsch is a situational guy while Rhodes is a guy that you can use at all parts of a game, including the end of it. He also is a pretty good strikeout reliever.

Just sent it to you, looking for a suggestion on what I should write my psych review on
  23. I'd let Wunsch go simply because you are already spending good money and have 4 quality relievers, plus Wright and then one of the youngsters gets a shot. This would save the Sox roughly 750k because Wunsch would then get non-tendered.

Probably, but all three are rated very highly in both business and law. Washington is there because it keeps me on the West Coast and is more reasonable that I get into it, although I think I have good shots with the other schools as long as I keep improving in school and do good on the LSATS. LMAO, the big plus to Michigan is I could root for some real sports teams , but at NU I could go to so many Sox games
