We need some from Reindeer games and Italian Job Graci 99

Unilaterally would be the owners simply doing it. That wouldn't be legal cause the union would have to agree.

Winter meetings are like Dec. 11th till the 17th or something.

That be pretty funny.

The fact that Paul was addicted to crack or whatever it was up until two years ago is pretty pathetic. Mix that with the fact that he's gonna be teaching his kid to drive at like 80...i'd say he's got some major issues. I am a big Beatle fan though.

Some Famous lines from Brittney Spears make sense right now: "Oops, I did it again"

I'll always remember what Ken Camminiti, admitted user said. He said he took steroids so much the year he won the MVP that his testes/scrotum went back up into his stomach . :dips***

I think its pretty dumb. Roids are illegal and should be in baseball. Just make it where if you test positive your suspended for a short period of time...twice is half a season...3 times your out for the season or something like that.
-
First ya knock Kotsay and now DJ. Two guys I happen to like quite a bit. I still think D'angelo is a pretty solid 2nd baseman.
-
Thtas where I was gonna go. They got a great business program. My cousin went there and she said it was way cool. Campus is nice too. It was between there and the University of Washington and then I said screw it...I'll just go to Cal State Fullerton. Most people wonder why I'm there But I won't be broke after I'm done with law school because of it

Pa seems like a good guy to me. He's just sarcastic.

U guys sure...usually he just bashes 2k4 and who we all know has issues

IDEA: Since been wants mediocre outfielders, how about Barry Zito for Aaron Rowand
-
Pads tried to acquire AJ but the Twins asked for Peavy and the Pads scoffed. Of course the Giants just handed over Nathan, Boof and then if its true and Liriano went as well...all I can say is STUPID. It would be like us dealing Wing, Honel and Sully (if we had him signed) for AJ. Sorry, but no chance in hell I'd do that deal, even if we didn't have Mient. I think this was the best cacther the Pads could of got. He's signed to a good deal, is good behind the plate and they didn't have to give up any stud prospect and now they have Giles/Long/Nady in their outfield, plus Nevin and of course Klesko. I think it will be Nevin, Giles, Nady with Long off the bench.

But why not get someone like Reggie Sanders or Rondell White. They aren't far too different then Kielty. Why not use Lilly to land you a catcher. I'd bet you could find someone solid by tossing out a lefty like Lilly. I do think the important part of that deal was Billy getting cash. He may of freed up about a mill today, which for him, probably means a lot.
-
Well Jeremy Brown is massive
-
One question, whats more important...a lefty that pitched pretty damn good last season or an outfielder that hit .250 or so with ocassional pop. They must want Kielty for his OBP, but you could find an outfielder like this via FA for pretty cheap without giving up a pretty solid lefty. The only real question with Lilly is whether he can throw a ton of innings at his stature. I'm not calling him an ace, but he's a damn good 4.

Thats exactly what I was referring to. The story on Bradford was great, but I was laughing whey they failed to mention the stud catching prospect the Sox receieved. Olivo already has one of the best arms in the big leagues and this was just his first season. Offensively he definately has a ways to go, but I think the potential is there.

Now this makes that deal look better. An outfield with Kotsay and Kielty is something I like and Lilly was definately expendable. Despite that they did give up Lillly who I think is turning into a pretty solid pitcher. Kielty struggled as a full time player on the Jays while Lilly was turning into a pretty damn good pitcher down the stretch for the A's. This could really bite Billy in the ass. Maybe he is just dismantling the team, before he jumps to some team in the AL

Geeze...Neo is fighting Agent Smith.

Sapp will be joining him on the free agency line this offseason. Guarantee the Bucs dump both of them.

Oh I read moneyball and I have to admit at parts of it I was rolling and at other parts I thought, now that makes sense. In the terms of Billy always jobbing people, I always find it hillarious how he never mentions how a prospect he moves can be doing good someplace else or anything like that. Plus, I still think he's an idiot for drafting some of the guys he did, when he did. Jeremy Brown can be all that, but I still think he's gonna have some major weaknesses, once he reaches the majors and if he reaches the majors. Reed is a far superior player to him, yet the White Sox drafted him in the 2nd round and up until late this year, not many people heard much about him. Reed was considered a "reach" too. I also think Reed will be a much better ball player then Brown will ever be. And gracious....Jason and the Arganauts was what one of my buddies dads used to always call me.

Sure I will, but its Jas I think most of us know I'm a huge fan of Kotsay. Of course when it comes to an all star catcher or Kotsay I go with the catcher. I do think Kotsay would of been a good fit for the Sox. He plays good defense and is a very productive offensive player when healthy. The problem is health is a serious issue with him as he's had some back issues that will likely be long term. The A's are fools, but Kotsay will put up pretty darn good numbers when healthy. But he wasn't worth what they gave up. Beane got jobbed.
