Got it all fixed Anyway, if anyone notices anything just tell me. It probably has to do with our latest upgrade to a newer version with better coding. Sometime in the next week, probably going to wait till Thanksgiving week, we are gonna be moving to a new server

I see a bigger deal going with the Dodgers. I see the Sox trying to land Itzuris, Mota and Perez. I don't know how they will do that, but its something I think the Sox will look at. Could they get that all for Lee, heck no, but include Jose in the deal and a prospect that could help the Dodgers and you could see something happen. Then the Sox would look to the Yanks to move Magglio for Soriano and if they can bargain maybe a little more...if you give up a good enough prospect, Johnson too. Actually I think if the Sox acquired Perez and Garcia then they could afford to give up Rauch if it strengthened them in another area. A Lee, Jose, Rauch package for Itzuris, Perez, and Mota could be very interesting for both teams. The Dodgers get a young pitcher ready to enter the rotation, the power hitting left fielder, and a power hitting shortstop with great range...albiet it a suspect eye. Dodgers still have a deep rotation and they get Dreifort back. Sox have a heck of a rotation and well...if depending on if Borchard and Maggs could get you Johnson and Soriano (Only way I see this happening is if Sheff and Vlad go elsehwere; Best scenario of that happening, Vladdy staying with Montr and Sheff staying in Atlanta. I think these are both very reasonable options). Once that happens Maggs is the best outfielder on the market...well you could make your argument for Beltran). In that situation it could be to the point that you could get the Yanks to overpay. If somehow all that would happen and the other trades went down, I'd be in love with this team. Elo Buehrle Perez Garcia Garland Need Leadoff Hitter Ned 2 hole hitter Soriano Thomas Johnson Crede Need Hitter Miguel Itzuris Realize that the Sox have a few outfield slots available now...actually three. So they can use a prospect and then guys like Reggie Sanders, Rondell White, Carl Everett will be out there. Some will stick around and be had for cheap so you'd pick up two of those guys and then trust two younsters and have about 4 guys. Then you sign a firstbaseman like Fullmer who isn't gonna be expensive and all of a sudden you got a pretty serious team.

I thought they were losing Olerud for some reason. But it would basically be a salary dump for both teams. M's dont want Freddy and Sox don't want Konerko. It wouldn't really free salary for either team, but it alters the chemistry of both teams and Konerko could fit in there. He'd have to adjust his style at the plate, but he's always been able to hit the ball to all parts of the field. His power numbesr would drop, but he is a good avg hitter despite what we saw this season. Garcia is a young kid who was over-worked at first...and he's had two down years if I recall, but he's still a solid pitcher and I like Cooper a lot. Put him to work and he could definately revert. Plus he can give you a lot of innings and really be a huge plus, espeically if then the Sox pick up Odalis Perez. That would be a very deep, talented starting rotation.

Thats great for Miguel. He definately has a long ways to go at the plate but I see him getting real good. He'll make some strides at the plate this season and I think slowly you'll see him turn into a very similar player to Irod. Miguel's defense will allow the Sox to be patient with him and he has pop in his bat and the ability to take the ball to all fields. As Walker works with him and he grows more patient and as wu83 said, starts recognizing the breaking balls, he will turn into an excellent catcher.

The Mariners were trying to dump Garcia on anyone that would take him last season. He had a very subpar year in the best pitchers park. Konerko and Garcia would be about equal salary and the Mariners would do it, imo.
-
Damn...Boof Bosner is a damn good prospect. Nathan is good too, but I'm a huge Boffner fan. I think the Giants do good cause AJ is damn good and the Twins got one stud arm. Nathan could make way from them losing at least one reliever.
-
He would fill a definate need on the Cubs, but Foulke is likely staying in Oakland.
-
Maybe they'd be still interested, lol. Freddy Garcia for Paul Konerko is something I could see working. Both players make good money and both teams are trying to move them. The Mariners are losing Olerud if I recall so they will have a void at first and Konerko could fit in. If they did that and then aquired Odalis Perez I'd be very happy with the rotation.

Lol...I promise no further upgrades until Xmas break though...cause then I'll have time to problem solve is anything happens. And as always if there is an expert programmer out there that has a little free time, we'd love the help

Wasn't around last night and we were upgrading some scripts and an error was ran into, but I didn't get the email till this morning because I was busy doing homework. I just got home from school right now and got everything back up and solved. For once this wasn't a server issue though, but since none of us are experts we can of learn as we go so on rare occassions we make mistakes like this. Its kind of what all of us fear when we touch and try to fix things. The board is all fine now, minus the same few errors that were being experienced before hand. I'm working on getting those solved, but as of right now I've yet to diagnose the problem but I believe it is something minor. Anway I'm really sorry...it would of been fixed real quick but I was doing homework till 11 last night and then had to get up at 6 am cause I had a presentation in an early class.

Sounds pretty cool PWF...u should get your sister to convince him to get ya quite a few sets of tickets

I think your right in that regards. If I were the Dodgers I wouldn't make that deal...not a chance because I wouldn't string myself up like that. At the same time it seems they have a lot of interest in Carlos and Jose. Carlos is more valuable then Perez and then when it comes to Itsuris and Jose you could have some teams that would rather have Jose...the question is do the Dodgers. It all depends on the team, Dodgers want to add some offense. Do I think its their best option, NO, but at the same time Lee and Jose for Itzuris and Perez would be pretty damn fair for the dodgers, imo. I like Lee a lot and Jose would add some pop as well.
-
Lol...I think I cursed him by having him as my avatar. But I'm honest...he hasn't done anything to warrant his hype in a few years so I say if you can get a young player or give him to do something that makes this team better, go for it.
-
What can I say I have high demands. My thought is this... a Lee and Jose for Perez and Itzuris swap would be fair. If that turns to Maggs, then I think the Sox should get even more in return. Its probably ridiculous to offer for both Mota and a top flight pitching process, but that would be my initial offer to the Dodgers and I'd let them counter from there. I really think the Yanks are gonna get hot for Maggs and if Maggs already has a market at that point, it could really force a team into over-paying to get him. This goes hand in hand with my belief that Vladdy stays in Montreal for much less then many think he will get and that Sheffield signs a 2 yr deal to stay with the Braves for a much lower price then expected.
-
I agree that they probably wouldn't, but I'd pressure and wouldn't hold down and when Cashman starts calling and puts out the name Soriano and you can say hey we got something with the Dodgers too, you could really up the ante. Edwin Jackson is the guy i'd want if I were dealing for a Dodger prospect though. He's a freaking stud...but the Dodgers know that. Well Mota is also damn good and would be a great fit. Miller's a lefty right?
-
I think thats what it goes back to. And yep, you'd have to be a full to give Johnson and Soriano for him...at least if they got Maggs they'd get a guy that they could sign long term and would be productive long term.
-
It could also mean people are hearing its a given that Soriano is out, which bodes well to the rumors that him and Johnson could be moved for Schilling or even better....my hope of Maggs for those two
-
According to Gammons Schilling will approve a deal with the Yanks if they extend his contract another 3 years (You'd have to be an idiot to give him big bucks for 3 more years when he's already falling apart now). On a sidenote, JR and Schilling are bitter bitter enemies. Sometime ago Schilling mentioned he'd never play on a team JR owned or something like that.
-
A deal of Maggs and Jose for Itzuris, Perez, Mota and one of their top prospects (That kid that was pitching for them at the end of the season who I always forget his name) would be very interesting.
-
I don't consider him much of a prospect right now. He could prove me wrong, but I like Reed so so so much more.
-
Well I mean 8 or 9 mill per year and incentives that could push it to 10 or 11 per year. I'm assuming your referring to 8 mill over 4 years. But I don't think Maggs is worth much more then 8 or 9 mill a season.
-
Well I won't be dissapointed if the Sox go another direction at 2nd. Alomar was really pretty over-rated when here in my opinion. He did some good, but I also think he's on the downside of his career and money is better spent elsewhere. I think they will go with someone who will platoon with Harris.
-
Agreed Think of it this way...some car company says, if you buy the product then we'll put together a sweeter car. So your just going to buy the car because its crap and then they will finally start putting together a good car, but only once you start buying their crappy products.

AGREED...unless Jessica Alba is naked for a few minutes, your not gonna get many guys to watch this crap.
