Wow...what a play by Chavez. That was amazing. Catches a freaking shot down the line and dives into 3rd just ahead of the slide to force him out at 3rd and end the inning. And I thought the game could get any better

I'd prefer having him as a starter. My guess is you'll see Beane finangle a trade for someone thats a stud reliever whose never gotten the opportunity to close. Then he'll put up great numbers and Beane will get more picks for him once he puts up the saves (Which is what everyone wants).

Was talking to a buddy of mine at work (Older guy) and he was in Boston after Buckner. He said people were all out walking around after the game going...is it too much to ask for just one Championship. He said it was just ugly. I know one thing...if I were a White Sox fan and that crap happened...something would of flown through my tv.

Agreed...I think thats a really unfair advantage. Heck...have four games on TV, its a baseball fans dream. I think you have to keep things fair. Think if you burned down a teams pen only to have MLB let that team get their pen rested again. The season is a marathon...yet the playoffs are such much different.

Hell..I wouldn't even be shocked if he pitched tomorrow if they really needed him. I know it wouldn't be expected, but in the postseason I'm never shocked. Zito is gonna have to step up though. If they had Mulder then you could assume CG, but thats not necessarily the case with Zito. Could you imagine being up at 2:10 in Boston

Him and Jeff Brantley annoy the hell out of me. Damon steals second (Great call). Of course if you are Billy Beane, he says it was a stupid call. Damon stealing the base takes the bat out of Nomar's hands and puts a lesser hitter at the plate. I don't necessarily agree, but that would a textbook case for Billy's argument against the SB. I know what Billy is talking about..but when you got Damon you go. Doesn't he say guys that steal like 76% of the time are allowed to..otherwise you shouldn't. Well in that case I'm going. Two outs...you want to get him to 2nd so a hit can win it. If he gest out..then you got Nomar and Manny the next inning. Just my style though.

Keith always has had stamina. He's fresh and you got to go for the win. Keith's the best you got and game one is a decisive game. How come the A's have tomorrows game off? I'd think they would be playing back to back. Foulke is looking good though...one pitch away...he's also one pitch away from giving up a hit

Me too. The last season, I went to my first hockey game, it was a Ducks game, so I became semi-interested after they made there run, but it's very boring to watch live or on TV. Hell...I know how much you like "THE OC" so I'm sure that had to be an awful experience for ya By the way...it has to be the single stupidest show I've ever seen. I find it hillarious though how the guy from Chino is the "Bad Guy". "Eww...he's from Chino". ROFL

It gets my vote for worse sport. I can't stand watching a hockey game unless it means something. I think this was the first Stanley Cup Finals where I actually watched more then five minutes of the games. Hockey...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

OHHHHHH the ending in my opion was a little weird but like you I also didnt pay either so I cant complain even if I thought it was bad I know what you mean. usually I watch them for free...so worse case you waste an hour and a half watching it. But even stupid movies end up being alright cause you can laugh your ass off at them. Take Jason X for example Jason X made me LMAO..........................just curious Jas, how do you watch movies for free? Friend of mine manages the theatre by my work. SO whenever my friends and I want to see a movie we just show up and he lets us in. As long as his head boss isn't there he lets us bring in grub and all that good stuff too.
